  1. I would just say wash hands like crazy. Practice the same hand hygiene that medical staff do. I wish you the best!! I hope it works out well!
  2. It's a pizza place that just started offering gluten free pizza. IT'S SOOOOO GOOD!!! Of course I may be biased because of my hormones but...mmmmm.... I want gluten-free w/red sauce, roasted red peppers, artichoke hearts, olives, and extra cheese. MMMMMMM.
  3. fingers crossed!! I have an anti nausea for the morning and hopefully my doc will help me out with some more, I was extremely sick with the last baby but I was also undiagnosed. I am hoping the food helps the sickness!
  4. welll....still FEELING kinda like I got glutened but I have a good reason for it Now if I could get past the pukey feeling...
  5. Thank you, really. My husband and I were not planning on it but...God has other plans! I took that birth control like clockwork at 10pm every night and it apparently doesn't work for me anymore LOL. Anyway, I told the man via skype and he laughed about it...I found out I was pregnant last time when he was deployed too! We just make deployment babies I guess...
  6. Well, after much cajoling from friends I took a test...and got a faint positive I guess it WASN'T gluten!
  7. Oh goodness. I haven't made the pizza but I CAN tell you that with the rolls it always looks undercooked even when the tops of the rolls are crispy and brown.
  8. uh oh. All signs are pointing to knocked up and not the food LOL
  9. Oh wow, I don't know! I am leaning more towards the hot pocket. But the peas make sense too. Hmm. I hate to tell you to try this but maybe do a control with the soup- I would hate for you to throw it all out and have it not be that.
  10. LOL yes, some do affect BC. My pharmacist said it wouldn't but after feeling sick I googled the medicine and ... it interacts with MY BC lol. Soooo...Yeah we need to do some sleuthing. On the off chance it was the food I had last night I tossed the leftovers. Just in case.
  11. I am on the pill and we had an antibiotic/Birth control pharmacist communication fail sooooo... I just realized....I COULD be pregnant. Also, instead of being like clockwork I was 2 weeks early and VERY light which has been rare since being diagnosed. Was morel like I was malnourished or something. Also, I just ate 3 pickles- I'm starving and nauseous...
  12. HAHA that's what everyone else says too, but they're all joking with me since my husband just left. It is odd though because it's just a really upset stomach. And if it was a bun, it would only be 5 weeks and my morning sickness usually doesn't hit til 10 weeks on the nose. Hmm. Well, we'll figure it out eventually LOL
  13. I'm pretty sure they aren't safe. Also, it depends on the hotdogs because they use fillers sometimes. The best thing you can do is not eat it if you aren't sure.
  14. Yeah I am definitely feeling it today...I just wish I knew what it was! Oh well, at least it's sunday and I can rest with the little monkey. Chicken broth for the win! Also, could it be the live cultures in the yogurt since there's so many of them and I got pretty much wiped out?
  15. I posted this under the reaction time thing too, but now I am genuinely confused. I had smoked brisket last night about ten, and went to bed, it seemed fine. It was cooked by my friends dad (her mom is celiac) so he is used to cooking for a celiac/avoiding CC. There was food that had gluten in it around (chicken kabobs) but they went on the grill second...
  16. This is interesting because I had some smoked brisket last night at a friends house. Her dad cooked it on a brand new grill, her mom has celiac so he has learned how to work around it. There was food with gluten in it around but I only had the meat. Today my stomach is upset but that's all I have right now. Also, her mom drank a beer, I almost fell over...
  17. I honestly treat it the same only when I get glutened I use painkillers for the cramping. When I am sick to my stomach I use anti nausea. I pound green tea and water and gatorade and rice and chicken broth.
  18. YOU GO GIRL!!!! I am so proud of you for standing up for yourself!!
  19. It really was, my poor kid was so sick and no one could tell me what was wrong with him...in addition to having almost NO food with me when he was admitted because it was so quick...I pretty much starved the first day, living off of Larabars and water. My husbands red cross call didn't go through and so I was essentially totally alone for about 4 hours.....
  20. HAHAHA ok, I didn't know if I could put the hospital on here. It was Houston County Hospital in Warner Robins, GA. This was just the pediatrics ward, however I am guessing they extend this to the whole hospital. I refused the food until I got so hungry I HAD to eat something (kids can't be left alone so I had no choice). I am SO thankful they were so willing...
  21. It was one of my worst fears as well, however it seems that at THIS hospital it may be ok. I checked everything twice and it was all good. The boy is doing better, thanks!
  22. SNICKERS IS gluten-free?!?!?!??! OH HAPPY DAY!!!! That just made my day!!
  23. My toddler was admitted to the hospital on Friday afternoon for a severe sinus infection/bronchitis, and when we checked in they asked about dietary restrictions. I told them I have Celiac and they said it was no problem, they would send me a gluten-free meal when they sent up the parent trays. I was pretty skeptical, however, the food was actually good...
  24. That sucks I'm sorry. I do know a lot of people who just hate quinoa though.
  25. I LOVE quinoa! Have you tried red quinoa? THe black is good too! MMMM I love love love it.
