  1. YOu can be if you have a gluten allergy! I am not celiac, just Gluten-intollerant and I got Glutened yesterday. It is certainly possible!
  2. I was telling my husband, even if they clean it between every gluten/non gluten thing, all it takes is ONE person having a bad day and slacking off and suddenly there's a bunch of celiacs sick lol. Thanks for letting me know I'm not crazy!
  3. OOOOH BOY do I know that now, I feel terrible. I'm balled up in bed with my dog and my gatorade. NO MORE AMYS FOR ME!!!
  4. Yep, I got Glutened by an Amy's gluten-free/DF spinach Pizza. It was really mild compared to the Great Cheerio Incident (I hadn't been diagnosed yet) but still, I am laying on the couch with an upset stomach now. Is it possible that it wasn't the pizza and just that I am still adjusting to the diet? Either way, lime gatorade and rice cakes seem...
  5. Luckily, I ate really healthy before I was diagnosed with my allergy but now I am craving Tater Tots, and S'mores. I think it's because I can't have them. Same with Cinnamon Buns, but I am working on a solution for that right now .
  6. Larabars are my new best friend! My kid even loves them...we eat them for snacks at the park. LARABAR FOR THE WIN!!
  7. SO TRUE! OMG what if she's Celiac and doesn't want to tell YOU? MY how the tables could TURN lol
  8. I always had a nervous stomach but I REALLY had problems after I had my son. For a YEAR my doctor insisted it was the combo of having a deployed husband and new baby and stress. I wasn't depressed, wasn't stressed out any more than normal, there was no explanation why I couldn't eat. Then I went in armed with information and family history and told him...
  9. I got hit today from CC somewhere, so I am starting to understand the paranoia lol.
  10. I had a reaction today to an Amy's Pizza. However it is possible it was just my body being super sensitive to processed foods. Everything I have made for the past 10 days since being dx'd has been home made except for some Larabars. So I am thinking that maybe the CC got me? I thought it could be the toaster too but I have been using that daily w/no problem...

    ARCHIVED New To This

Thanks guys! I got glutoned right after I posted this, and we think it was butter we used on my toast (it was from before I got dx'd) OR the Amy's Pizza that's processed in a wheat facility despite being gluten free. I wish I had known that BEFORE I ate it lol. Sooooo I am on the couch with my gatorade and rice crackers. I AM getting a new toaster, the...
  12. Hey guys, I am totally new to this (didn't even know what Gluten was until last month). I for sure have a Gluten allergy and since cutting it out last week I feel totally better. 99% of my gastro issues are gone already and I have much more energy. My husband was a sweetheart and helped me empty the pantry and scrub out my bread machine (living on a military...
  13. I totally understand. Last year after I had my son, my husband deployed and I was constantly feeling sick. First they blamed my birth control, then they blamed my gallbladder, then they blamed stress because my husband deployed leaving me with my 6 month old and tried to put me on PROZAC (which anyone who knows me knows that is NOT the right answer for...
  14. geeesh and people wonder why I am so afraid to eat away from home. I hope I get less freaked out as I adjust to the gluten-free thing, eventually I am going to forget a snack and have to eat something someone else cooked
  15. I know I'm new to this, but I just bring my own food. Because I am a military wife there are lots of spouse socials that I go to, and military events, and I just eat on my own. Yeah, it sucks to not be able to eat at the Military Ball but it's so much easier to just eat before I go. Plus, then I am not paranoid about cross contamination or food safety or...
  16. My husband believes I am being paranoid, but he's not eating anything different from me so he hasn't gotten me yet. I'm waiting for it...he brushes his teeth twice a day but hates flossing (he uses a waterpik instead). I guess I can just bring him here and say LOOOK!! IT HAPPENS!!
