ARCHIVED Skin Care Line Eminence Organic
Charlie's Girl replied to Bella001's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
LOVE Eminence! I got the same list and wrote them back to ask about under eye cream. At first she told me none of their under eye creams were gluten free. I told her their bearberry eye cream is listed (somewhere) online as gluten free. She double checked and indeed it is gluten free. Hello We double checked the ingredient list and yes, the bearberry... -

ARCHIVED Chebe Without Eggs Or Dairy?
Charlie's Girl replied to Charlie's Girl's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
Ooops- meant to write Original Almond Milk in my first post. So- I see from the responses that other folks have made it with almond milk. I knew it was the eggs. There isn't any xanthan gum in the Ener G egg replacer- nor is there any in the Chebe. Perhaps I'll try adding xanthan. Had an interesting conversation with a baker today. They offer gluten... -
ARCHIVED Chebe Without Eggs Or Dairy?
Charlie's Girl posted a topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
Anyone ever successfully made Chebe bread without eggs or dairy? I read so many good things here and elsewhere that I really wanted to like it. I made it with Ener G Egg Replacer and Original Milk. It was AWFUL! Any luck anyone? Any suggestions? Thanks folks. -

ARCHIVED Chest Pain When Swallowing
Charlie's Girl replied to Charlie's Girl's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
Thanks for the feedback, Miss Lynneelise. I get so ditzy when the brain fog hits- it is nice to hear from someone who is feeling sane. I am eating plain- simple food and will pick up some coconut water tomorrow at Trader Joe's. I got turned on to coconut water at Bikram Yoga- everyone there is addicted to it. Going to the doctor's office Monday for... -
ARCHIVED Chest Pain When Swallowing
Charlie's Girl posted a topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
First- let me begin with- I am fairly certain I am getting CC'ed as I have all the other symptoms: depression, brain fog, really bad D, sleep disturbances, body aches and pains, etc. I am working on this situation at home. This latest bout has gone on for two plus weeks. It is a tough situation with my 82 year old mother. I do not have anywhere else for her... -

ARCHIVED Scared: Anemia And Very Low Vit. D
Charlie's Girl replied to Kimbalou's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I take mine with a time release Vitamin C because ( I thought) somebody somewhere told me it would absorb better in an acidic environment. I also take B12 - but later in the day. -
ARCHIVED Scared: Anemia And Very Low Vit. D
Charlie's Girl replied to Kimbalou's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
While I can't offer you any advice about martial arts- I can tell you that you should be able to correct your vitamin deficiencies. I too am anemic and had even lower Vitamin D than you. I have been on iron supplements for 20 years. I take Slow Fe and it does not bother my ever so sensitive stomach. I found out about the Vitamin D levels in May and began... -

My 82 year old mother lives with me and has cc'ed me on numerous occasions. She, too has many signs of celiac disease as do many of my relatives from her side of the family. I am making the house gluten free little by little and she whines or worse yet does a poor pitiful me aren't I the martyr routine. But I have to do it. I have been so sick for so long... -
ARCHIVED Has Anyone Used Ener-G Egg Replacers For Betty Crocker gluten-free Yellow Cake Mix?
Charlie's Girl replied to TinaM's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
Yesterday I made Gluten Free Pantry Scones. I used Ener G instead of eggs and almond milk plus apple cider vinegar instead of buttermilk. I used Earth Balance instead of butter. No dairy for me. I added raisins (no berries for me either ). Everyone loved them and no one guessed they were gluten free. The entire dozen were gone before the end of the... -

ARCHIVED Best Iron Supps?
Charlie's Girl replied to run granola's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
I've tried several and always go back to OTC Slow Fe- I have no side effects from it. I take it with a gluten free time release Vitamin C as Vitamin C is supposed to help with the absorption. I have been taking iron for 20 plus years and tested ok for iron but low ferritin levels. Hmph- celiac- go figure. -

Yeah- I was actually trying (and failing) at a reference as to why the folks at MS Omni Media wouldn't know (or care) about EH-daytime's favorite Republican- guess it didn't come out right. I'll blame this (and everything else) on brain fog.
