  1. Hmm I have chornic fatigue from candida overgrowth. Blood sugar swings could cause blurry vision. I wonder if sugar problem may be a part of it? Sugar has a strong relationship to energy production. And like many have recommended, to get your vitamin and mineral levels checked (and if you do it at a normal blood lab, ask to see the papers). It seems like...
  2. depression, anxiety diagnosed. Aspergers strongly suspected by parents/self since childhood until removing food allergens and some other things in the diet. Looking back on it now, I'm almost positive I had slight aspergers. Also anger problems, suicidal tendencies, paranoia and auditory/visual distortions. Mother is also intolerant to gluten and other foods...
  3. I'm saddened and glad-ened to find this thread, i'm stuck in a similar cycle. I very rarely go back on gluten, because the symptoms are too much for me but I do that with dairy, fructose, corn, nightshades, soy, yeast, eggs, <-- all of my intolerances. I feel it is very difficult to find somebody who understands this whole situation and so I want you to...
  4. I always suspected that kurt cobain had gluten intolerance... Also I have a suspicion that Thom Yorke of Radiohead has gluten problems... Mainly because I only LOVE his music when I'm under gluten depression! LOL.... As soon as I found out I'm gluten intolerant I couldn't tolerate his music anymore. Also his ears are red and his lips are big red and waxy...
  5. Thank you for sharing your story, it's very inspirational, and so special that you figured it out and stuck to it despite what the doctors said. Gluten caused be to be aggressive, paranoid and angry also. It never ceases to amaze me, what it does to the mind, not so much the body. I wonder what would happen if all of the jails went gluten free? I bet there...
  6. Yeah, mine was often referred to as possible ADD too. Also people guessed it to some minor possible autism (along with some other symptoms). But really, just a symptom of gluten
  7. Yeah! This is one of my definite-signs-of-glutening symptoms.
  8. First of all, congratulations going gluten free as a young person with a family who does not understand. I understand how difficult that can be. Yes, she will catch on, at least slightly eventually! Just keep declining. Eventually, as some ailments of yours improve from the efforts you are making, she will see that this is real. My two sisters used to...
  9. Great advice from Skylark. The longest that I've lasted on a rather extreme anti-candida diet (It's called the Rainbow Green Live Food Cuisine diet) is 4 days! I had such horrible die off on that diet that I couldn't walk out of weakness on day 2 and the cold sweats were unbearable o_o so don't go TOO fast, unless you want to just get it over with that is...
  10. After minor exposure to gluten/dairy/what not, (for instance, if I am around other people who are baking), I often have gluten nightmares the following night, and then I sleep longer, wake up very sleepy and only slightly irritable, almost unnoticably so, and weirdest of all is that I have cravings for gluten. I haven't eaten gluten in more than a year and...
  11. Yes! It most certainly could be. I used to have horrible anger episodes when I was on all of my intolerance foods. I remember once I even took a knife to my mom's bed and stabbed the crap out of it, and I used to fanasize and seriously consider stabbing her. (That sounds insane, don't worry I'm not like that now lol) I also used to bang my head against walls...
  12. Hello, It sounds like it could be B12 deficiency. Gluten intolerance can often damage our ability to absorb B12. Facial pain is a symptom of a moderate-severe deficiency, as can be hair loss. I wouldn't even recommend that you get a blood test because usually if you go to a blood lab and get a blood test asking for a B12 test, unless you can get your hands...
  13. I'm afraid that mushroom knows her stuff :/ 2 weeks is way too short. Glutenous grains feed candida yeast in the intestinal tract, which produces alcohol by-products and can cause people to feel intoxicated. This can also happen when a person which a candida-overgrowth problem eats a lot of sugars. Gluten I believe is one of the most potent foods for these...
  14. Hi, I get intense unwavering anxiety when glutened. I've been gluten free now for about a year and have been diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder and social anxiety, as well as depression when I was still eating gluten. I used to not be able to get on a bus because I was too anxious to say "hello" and "thankyou" to the bus driver when I got on/got...
  15. Has anybody had a reaction to a "dairy-free" probiotic? I think they still use milk in small amounts to make the cultures do they not? I'm buying one, but have heard that some people can react to even the small amount so I'm a little bit afraid.
  16. Hello Sorry it took me so long to write back I really appreciate all of the replies... So much! Thank you . I am on the journey towards healing my own mental health... I think that once the anger, depression, and my own problems are out of me it will affect me less if I recognize it less within myself. I don't fight back, I try to be as kind as possible...
  17. Who here takes probiotics? I read that this probiotic is 'dairy free' but the strains originate from dairy. So are the probiotics that originate from dairy something that a dairy-sensitive person would react to?? Don't most probiotics have lacto-something-or-other strains, meaning dairy origins?? I'm confused, is it possible to get a dairy free probiotic...
  18. Hi everybody. My mom and I are both gluten intolerant. She discovered it on her own through literature 20 years ago, really impressed by that! She has a really bad reaction to gluten mentally, depression, sometimes suicidal, anxious, paranoid, and most of all angry. She LOVES to fight, she will follow you all day long for a made up reason screaming at you...
  19. I'm having a real hard time getting off of every food intolerance I have. Right now I'm so stuck on nightshades, have been for 5 months, and I feel irritable and sick every day. In general I'm afraid to be food-intolerance-free because there will be nothing to hide behind anymore. I'm wondering how long it took you to go 100% free from all of the...
  20. What is the best way to suggest for somebody to go gluten free without pushing too hard on it? (Which I tend to do!) I now know a guy who has learning disabilities, speech impairment, anxiety, depression, asthma, ADHD, bipolar disorder, allergies, and is super super pale. He also tells me that things always go a lot slower than they actually are, so he...
  21. Could homosexuality be caused by environmental factors in the womb relating to gluten messing with hormones? It's far fetched, but my mother is very strongly gluten intolerant (or celiac, untested). She had around 7 miscarriages and then when I was born I was born a lesbian. Just wondering if anybody has ever thought about gluten as an environmental toxin...
  22. Hang in there, I'm going through the same thing. Not with gluten or soy, I have managed to give those ones up for around 8 months (excluding accidents) because they both do a lot of harm mentally for me and I get really suicidal on them, so it's easy to stay away from. But with my other food intolerances; nightshades, corn, dairy in particular. I managed...
  23. Why are foods that cannot be digested properly by our bodies addictive?? I'm not talking about the science behind the opiods, or casomorphins but rather why would nature make it so that we are drawn back to what hurts us? Is it that when a species population gets out of control they normally end up eating things their bodies weren't designed for due...
  24. When glutened my anxiety is unbearable for as long as it's in my system. I also have very compulsive behaviour for 3-4 days (compulsive pulling out hair, picking at skin, running back and forth from mirror to check that a "wrinkle" hasn't grown in 10 minutes..etc). Up to a week, I would say. It's a huge, huge difference. Gluten puts my anxiety at a whole...
  25. Yep, I had this. It's a very weird feeling and haven't had it since going gluten free. I didn't have it to an extreme extent, like a background movement with the occasional spurt in increased shuddering on and off. Sounds as if it very well could be gluten behind it for your son. Very interesting,
