First of all, not a stupid question at all! I don't think there are any stupid questions here. Secondly, yes, I always make hubby brush his teeth after eating gluten or he knows he's only allowed to kiss my cheek...the things we have to do!

I have found this to be one of the hardest things to find. I've tried a few storebought kinds with little success. The Grainless Baker makes my favorite. They taste very cheese crackery to me...maybe more like Cheeze-Its than Goldfish but to me they are the best. The consistancy is a little different but I got used to it.

I've noticed this too and also thought I was alone. One thing I've learned from this forum...when you are having any kind of symptom of anything...you are pretty much never alone...comforting isn't it?

Don't go gluten free yet even though it may be tempting because you will feel better (I'm sure you know that). You have almost all of the same symptoms I do. I will never get diagnosed because I started gluten free first and I will never go back to eating gluten so I can get tested. But yes, your symptoms sound very much like mine...stick it out hopefully...

I get exactly the same feelings (anxiety and irritation with loud noises) when I am cross contaminated. I also have Xanax which helps. It also helps me to just remind myself that I am fine and its just that evil gluten again! Hope you find something that helps you!

I teach kindergarten and I just tell my kids its an allergy too and that it makes me sick. I know its an intolerance not an allergy but this is the easiest way to explain it to them (and most restaurant employees for that matter). Check out the book "Make it Fast, Cook it Slow" by Stephanie O'Dea. It is gluten free slow cooker recipes. I have made some really good things from it.

I agree with the Poptarts. I have been thinking that for awhile...I miss those! I also really miss crossaints. The refridgerated dough would also be nice. You all have such good ideas!

I looked at the package and was excited when there was no wheat flour, food starch, or natural flavor on the ingredient list. For me, it depends on how much and what I eat but I know within about 20 min, that's when my neuro symptoms start. Then 3 days later I get a migraine and my gastro symptoms start (cramping, stomach pain, and D). I am sick and extremely tired and anxious for a few days to a week.

I made this mistake early on. I am really sensitive so maybe you would be ok but I wasn't. :-( I would just buy a special wafflemaker.
