I am scheduled for the removal of my stomach on January 27th, so basically I have 23 days to eat all I want to eat, of course no gluten, lol. The doctors are so pleased with my progress and actually think I will have an easier time with the surgery and the...

  4. I would also agree that you have solved your mystery, but you also need to find a good doctor who is knowledgeable in Celiac disease. Finding the right doctor is so important, it took me over a year to find a good gastro, but they are out there. Be an advocate for your health, this is your life and your body, only you know when something is wrong. I wish...

I have one more round the 28th then surgery to remove my stomach in February. Ok so that is freaking me out a little I am doing all I can to get my body ready, physically, mentally, and...
  7. I cant say anything about the gall bladder, I just wanted to wish you a good recovery, give yourself time to heal, and I hope this helps you out. Sending out healing thoughts and big hugs.
  8. This is a wonderful community of people, I consider them my second family.
  9. Again just a suggestion, my sister-in-law has this and she is basically maintaining a good lifestyle with the dietary changes. And if your not having your regular gluten side effects I wouldnt think that you are getting gluten in your diet. Talk to your doctor about this, and your dietician they should be able to help you out. Good luck and again let me...
  10. Hello and welcome, after reading this, your symptoms, the indigestion, fullness, and burping, talk to your doctor about gastroparesis (sp sorry) or slow stomach. They do have a very simple test for this, and basically you eat smaller meals 6 times a day, and they put you on a PPI for the indigestion. Again please just an observation, but be an advocate...
  11. I love the ideas about the hats!! My daughter actually got me a hat that looks like a cat, my grandson loves it, he really doesnt know what to do about bald gamma, he's not scared just the first time he saw me he said "Gamma where is your hair?" Too cute. I live in Nebraska so ya its pretty chilly, but I like just going bald around the house, it's more...

  13. Good morning my dear friends. It has been awhile since I updated but my first round of cocktails (chemo) was pretty rough. But I made it through, and getting ready for my 2nd round on the 7th. Just a couple of days ago I lost my hair, it was very strange just started coming out by the handfuls, I did cry a little but then I figured look you can get all...

  15. Good morning friends, Well yesterday was my first day of chemo, actually my daughter and I don't like the name so we have decided to call it the cocktail hour, sounds much better right. Anyways it is a very aggressive treatment, and of course with the Celiac disease that makes it that more fun. I have three chemo drugs, along with steroids, anti-nausea...
