  1. Glad it will help you out Kimberly! I always love your avatar with that ilttle dog wagging its tail
  2. Kinnikinnik does ship their breads, muffins, crusts etc. frozen. I bought a freezer a few weeks ago. Boy is that paying off!
  3. Hey it's Abby and that Kitty I love! I talked to Bath and Body and they do not have a compiled list of gluten-free products. I do know quite a few of their products contain oat protein. But I guess you'll just have to ck the ingredients individually. This list may help you identify ingredients: Open Original Shared Link (I posted this recently). ...
  4. Oopsy--messed up last link. Just go to the "Search" link on the top left hand corner of the page you are currently on and then search for the word "forbidden".
  5. Kimberly- Hi! There are some great "forbidden" ingredient lists here on this website. Ck them out, print them off, take them with you... They have helped me much in the past. If you look thru posts here you will find out about a lot of great gluten-free products in stores and online too. Good luck! Forbidden List: https://www.celiac.com...
  6. Donna- I'd have to say I agree with your statement. Some issues us, as Christians, should really spend time thinking about and theology, what we believe, can be crucial to our faith and how we choose to live out the 'every day' of our lives. However, I think sometimes we spend to much time outside the "meat" of the Gospel and little fruit can come from...
  7. That's true. I had wondered if any took it as far as carrying their own soap or sanitizer. I probably will not worry about the soap other than in my own home. I worked for Head Start for a year--needless to say, I washed my hands all the time! (After I saw how they "washed" their hands after going to the bathroom !) I can relate
  8. Okay, so I had some wheat action going on in my Estee facial lotions... Arg. What facial moisturizers do you use? I typically like a light one with spf in day, and a heavier one at night. Ideas?
  9. Please forgive the length here but perhaps this list of derived ingredients might help you identify harmful ones in the future. I included the others as well b/c some people have issues with them: SOY DERIVED INGREDIENTS GLYCINE SOJA (SOYBEAN) EXTRACT GLYCINE SOJA (SOYBEAN) FLOUR GLYCINE SOJA (SOYBEAN) OIL GLYCINE SOJA (SOYBEAN) PROTEIN...
  10. So do you take it as far as not using the soap when you are at the mall, running errands etc. ?
  11. So last night I was laying in bed and starting thinking about hand soap. If I am not using lotion with gluten--what about soap? I've never heard anyone mention it before--but do you guys watch hand soap? If so, what about when you're out? My soap at home is okay, so maybe its not in very many...
  12. You guys are great for spearheading this. What would we all do without this board? I would still probably be "eating" my wheat containing lipstick You all are the experts, but I am willing to help if there is something you need.
  13. Let us know how things are going for you again in a while....
  14. 5' 4'-- not so tall. although, in fifth grade i was one of the tallest girls in my grade and won the high jump contest !! that quickly changed and now i am the shortest amoung my friends. i can't remember what average height is for a girl, it might be 5' 4"...
  15. Oh, I was also going to say, for you internet shoppers, I bought my Bare Escentuals off of Sephora.com (love that site!). They have lots of their products. They are sell Benefit, which I mentioned earlier as having gluten-free lipsticks. Their makeup is good too.
  16. on MAC makeup--I want to clarify NOT all MAC makeup is gluten free. Their amplified cream lipsticks and their lip conditioner definitely contain wheat. All Benefit lipsticks are gluten free. If anyone buys Sephora brand lipsticks, they responded to me saying they can not say whether their lipsticks have gluten or not. (That response is always helpful...
  17. We could start a "cat" topic somewhere I did however just change my avatar. I will try and get one of me and Maggie sometime...
  18. Okay--I am looking for the best gluten-free pizza crust--mix or premade--Kinninnick, Chebe, Gluten free pantry, Cause your special, Dad, George, Yadda Yadda.... ? I'm trying hard to find a gluten-free pizza crust my husband will submit to eating with me
  19. Abby- i love the kitties! we have cat named maggie--a tortie. she is about 2 1/2 yrs old. always making us laugh. i see yours is outside. maggie seems to go from the porch outside, to a lap inside, to the porch outside....
  20. Michael- Hmmmm... interesting thoughts. It is good to take time to "think" about gluten-free cooking--it is definitely a more 'precarious' process than regular bread baking... Amaranth is also high in protein, second only to quinoa I found. Might be a good substitute. What is the rest of the recipe?? I did go online one more time and found this recipe...
  21. Glad to hear you are well Donna !
  22. Abby- I gotta tell you that your avatar of the cat is so freakin' adorable !
  23. Kasey'sMom- Yeah, these tests definitely seem to be helpful. I decided to do it because I have had abdominal pain for several weeks after going gluten-free ! I looked around at places, york and great plains, and decided on great plains because they were cheaper, and I could submit the test to my insurance and get it covered. But if you're wanting to go...
  24. So you have used the Mayacama sauces? I was wondering if those were any good...
  25. Thanks for the info Kimberly--and glad to hear your hard work is paying off !! I haven't seen improvement for myself either, perhaps I need more time...could be. But I am also getting tested for other intolerances, and keeping scd in mind if things don't get better in a few more months. Gracias !
