  1. \ Dinner tonight is homemade buffalo wings, white rice and broccoli.
  2. I bought the box the other day and we made cookies. Let's put it this way, we will not ever buy it again. The cookies were like grits. The taste was yuck.
  3. Baking is the real problem with Gluten Free but it can be done, I'm convinced of it although I will say its not easy and I am in the learning stage. However, there are many foods that are gluten free by nature and there are many recipes in non Gluten Free cookbooks that you can make. The key to cooking is finding yourself some good cookbooks. A great...
  4. First of all children can have Celiac Disease and not have parents who are. So whether or not you have Celiac disease is immaterial. From what I've read there are false negatives both on the labs and even the biopsys. My child who was just diagnosed only tested positive on the DgP test. Had my child turned up negative on the biopsy I was going to do a...
  5. I can tell you my child tested negative on both the tTG and the EMA tests. She was positive on both the Deamidated Gliadin Peptide IgA and IgG. With that positive they did a biopsy and the biospy showed a positive for Celiac Disease.
  6. Thanks for the info. My daughter was in fact determined to test positive in the biopsy. Her total IgA was 67 which is in normal range but on the low side. It was the DGP IgG that was the high number. Maybe she is somewhat IgA deficient? Just trying to understand as many people get tested using only the EMA and TTG and if we were not lucky enough to have...
  7. I don't have the labs but looked at them at hospital today. I believe a positive level was like 1.6 and her score was like a 4.9. Unfortunately I can't remember if that was the igg or iga score for the dgp and I can't recall the other dgp score except it was definitely positive. I was told it was a high positive. I know there is less written about this...
  8. I am not so patiently awaiting results of my teen's biopsy today. My question is regarding the labs prior to the biopsy. She tested positive with the dgp igg and iga but negative with the ttg iga and ema. Anybody else had results like this? Doctor told me only way to diagnose was biopsy. These tests are just a screening and nothing more. However I read...
  9. My child just had the DGP test and I haven't read anything about it being experimental. However I can say it was a positive on the DGP and negative on the tTG and EMA.
  10. A year ago my daughter lost hair at the crown of her head. The dermatologist diagnosed it as Alopecia and fortunately now 14 months later it is about 2 1/2 inches long. Anyway this past month a Celiac panel was done and it turned up positive on the DGP IGA and IGG. It was negative on both the TtG and EMA tests. From what I have read there is quite a connection...
  11. From what I have read the best labs are the mayo clinic and Prometheus labs. There are multiple tests including the EMA, TTG, DGP, and total IGA. I'm still trying to figure this all out. My daughter came back positive on the DGP Iga and Igg. From what IVe read the TTg and DGP are the most accurate. The DGP test is often confused with the older test as...
