  1. IR, Oh yes, you are so right about the probiotics! The GI has me on a double dose while I'm taking all these antibiotics. By the way, everything you suggested has been more than helpful! Especially during the time when I had my old GI who dismissed me completely! You've been a superb source of knowledge for me. So, thanks!
  2. TTNOGluten, I forgot if you answered this already, but are you consuming dairy? My pain began to get better after I cut out all dairy products. I also noticed a correlation between major C and upper GI pain. Have you been checked for a kidney infection? Perhaps some other kind of gut infection/bacterial overgrowth?? I'm just grasping at staws here...
  3. Hi Everyone, A while back I posted about Upper GI/Ribcage Pain. Just wanted to update that I had a follow-up Endoscopy (after 9 months gluten free) & the results are in. It's the H. Pylori bacteria. Lo & behold, common to this infection is burning/gnawing upper abdominal pain - lots of times under/behind the left ribcage area....
  4. Just finished a wonderful gluten free Christmas dinner all cooked by my mother - bless her heart - she does a fantastic job! No cc either! Family loved the meal & nobody missed the gluten! I am beyond lucky to have such support - from family and from all of you on this forum. Merry Christmas to all of you folks here!! Here's to a happy and healthy...
  5. Yeah, I s'pose you're right. Good point!

    ARCHIVED Anxiety

Macabre, Yes I am dealing with this, although I had a pre-existing anxiety issue. I just figured that the increase was due to worrying about changing my life around. Getting outside & going for walks helps me - they say exercise is good for anxiety. Some natural calming agents are Valerian root & Kava (like teas). I hope you start feeling...
  7. How about when someone highjacks your post & really just starts a new thread right in the middle?
  8. Well given all that, I'm very glad you had it removed! Here's hoping that it resolves many - if not all - of your issues! Wish you a speedy recovery - let us know how it's going! Pondy
  9. Another quick update here... Saw a new GI. Here's her plan: - Forget the Celiac panel blood work because it will likely be negative (due to being gluten free 9 months). - Endoscopy scheduled for 12/26 due to continued GI issues. She plans to take lots of biopsies & check healing progress. - Kill off my gut bacteria with a 10 day course of antibiotics...
  10. Udi's bread (toasted) with almond butter Oskri brand bars (cashew & cranberry) Lara bars Hard boiled eggs Sliced chicken breast (NOT processed, but what I cooked up the night before) Boiled or roasted little red potatoes with parsley Fruit Baby carrots Cut up cauliflower & broccoli Those are my favorite snacks/quick meals to have...
  11. Whoa, yeah you just kinda summed up my story... Mine used to be on the right side. Gallbladder checked out okay per HIDDA Scan. It moved over to the left in late October or thereabouts. Regardless, it's never gone away. Both my Internist & GI (the ones I recently "fired") looked at me the same way - like a complete nut - saying that they...
  12. IrishHeart, I just now noticed that you changed your avatar - see how observant I'm not? Anyway, with all you've been through - Warrior Princess is so very fitting! I'm so sorry that you're sick too - and on your first night out in a long while! Stupid gluteny "gluten free" cake mix. Good for you for speaking up about it & holding 'em...
  13. I've been gluten free since February 24th of this year. IMHO I ought to feel better by now. Granted, I have only been dairy free for about 10 days - give or take... I plan to stick with that & probiotics. Question: what exactly is a full celiac panel? I was just going to ask the GI to run tTGA and EMA. I just feel crappy - on top...
  14. Quitting dairy seems to be helping me somewhat - it's been a week & 1/2 or so. Onions I eat frequently - I never thought to suspect them before now. My new doc thinks that I have IBS, but is open to exploring other causes - like it's more of a symptom than anything. My new GI is at the same clinic - one of her clinical 'interests' is IBS - hope...
  15. I'm actually not supplementing Folate - it was just naturally high (can't recall the number). I do plan to have all my vitamins & minerals rechecked on Jan. 5th. Thanks
  16. Quick update... Saw a new doctor - an Internist. She actually listened to me Felt so, so nice not to be dismissed! She ran tons of labs - all the basics like TSH, vitamin levels, full metabolic, CBC, enzymes, inflammation markers and more... All within normal limits - although, D3 is down about 6 points since last check. Per my typical fogginess...
  17. This is interesting. I thought that B12 helped with anxiety/panic - not caused it. Those symptoms, as well as heart related issues is why I started supplementing. Last check (last month) mine was 1482. Had high Folate also. I'm taking a break from it now 'cause I feel a bit better.
  18. What about thyroid? Has yours been checked out? Also, how is your stress level? Mine shot thru the roof dealing with the diagnosis & basically changing my life and all... Best of luck to you - hang in there
  19. You rock, warrior princess BTW, hungry as I've been, I'm still not tempted by kiki's "savory salmon"
  20. I do have a housemate, and she's a gluten eater. Careful as we are, there's bound to be some cc. She takes kindly to my gentle reminders to clean up, wash hands, etc... She's a sweetie, but accidents do happen. Pretty much, I have the kitchen to myself a couple days a week - that's when I do my cooking for the week. I worry more about her bathroom...
  21. Gottcha I understood, I'm just not as clear with words as I once was. Thanks again!
  22. Given your rave review (as well as my brothers'), I will ask about getting the UltraClear Sustain as soon as things calm down a bit in my system. Thanks for the advice - and to you also, Irish, for the suggestion to wait till I'm not so inflamed all over.
  23. I'll try Culturelle ASAP - thanks! My brother (a Chiropractor) just gave me something by Metagenics - it's called AdvaClear for detoxification. I haven't tried it yet. Forgot I had it, actually. Maybe I'll give that a go also. Irish I laughed so hard at your poo comment - I'm feeling punchy from not enough sleep & that comment just made me...
  24. Interesting article, Irish. Does sound familiar! I'm back on coconut milk for everything, so we'll see how it all shakes out. I agree with you about possible cc & dairy. Now that dairy is out, I'm on to the cc investigation. I suspect a link between the upper GI pain and constipation - which I read somewhere that dairy products can cause...
  25. Quick little update here... - after a couple days completely dairy free my pain lightened up (thanks to advice from wise & caring people here - tried Lactaid milk yesterday & now have my old pain back. Note to self: lactose free isn't good enough - seeing my GI next week due to bowel change (flat ribbon thin bm since early November...
