Garlic and rosemary crusted pork loin and rice "stuffing", figured we should try it before the holidays come around. -
ARCHIVED What's For Breakfast Today?
alex11602 replied to GlutenFreeManna's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
My husband found Blue Diamond's Almond Butter at the store yesterday so he put that and sliced banana on a plain rice cake for breakfast. Very boring, but kind of filling. -
I think I remember seeing that and it sounded very good, but if I remember correctly it had yeast in it. Things with yeast starting bothering my youngest so we just kind of gave up on the bread.

I think the thing that I miss most now would be a good bread and dipping oil. I miss lasagna but that's more because I can't have enough cheese in it yet to make it really good.

ARCHIVED Rudi's Bread?
alex11602 replied to shadowicewolf's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Yes. They make an organic bread and a gluten free bread. If I remember correctly, I read that it is made in separate facilities (could be remembering wrong though). Anyway my daughters and I did not have a problem with the gluten free one, the store just stopped carrying it though:( -

ARCHIVED Need Some Advice...
alex11602 replied to alex11602's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
I wish my mom would be open to reading, but 30 something years ago her dr told her IBS and to her that's all it is, she thinks it's normal to have to run to the bathroom after meals. I talked to my daughter about it again and she said that if she could have pizza and goldfish again it would make her less sad because she would still have her favorites so I... -
ARCHIVED When The World Changed Forever
alex11602 replied to Jestgar's topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
I was sitting in my 6th grade reading class when someone came in the classroom saying that someone hit the WTC and everyone thought it was a big joke. It was a few classes later that the teachers finally got it through all our heads that it was serious. It was just a massive shock. My biological father was supposed to be there for his job that day and... -

ARCHIVED Need Some Advice...

Oh and I just read this again as far as the homeschooling goes...she starts at her dance class again next week and she is going to play soccer with the youth athletic association this year also, plus they have story time days twice a week at our local library so I think that she will be getting enough interaction, at least it seems that way to me. -
ARCHIVED Need Some Advice...

Thank you! I always send food with them and my 5 year old knows that she is supposed to eat what I send. Just last night they were alone with my family because of my husband and I celebrating our anniversary, I made sure to send more then enough food and my mom didn't feed it to them. She gave them ham and vegetables, no carbs (which the girls should have... -
My daughters (ages 5 and 21 months) have been gluten free for about 6 months and we have taken out other foods that they could not handle eating and there was such a huge improvement in both children that to my husband and I it seems ridiculous to let them have gluten again. Neither of the girls have been tested since the dr diagnosed all three of us over...

ARCHIVED Read Anything Good Lately?
alex11602 replied to GFreeMO's topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
Along with Jodi Picoult like others have said, I also love Nicholas Sparks...have read all his books. There is also Danielle Steel who has some good books. For crime stories I like Jeffrey Deaver (he wrote the book "The Bone Collector" that was made into a movie), Jonathan Kellerman (especially the Alex Delaware books), James Patterson (especially the Women... -

ARCHIVED Hives -- Could It Be From Wine?
alex11602 replied to Marie1976's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
My husband and I were talking about sulphates in wine last night since he just started working at a winery and he said that at least that winery does not add sulphates to all their wines, only certain ones. -
ARCHIVED Is Tomato Ketchup Gluten Free?!
alex11602 replied to Dr. Jasleen Kaur's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Just for reference for anyone who can't have or doesn't want corn syrup in the US, Heinz makes the simply Heinz which does not contain corn syrup. I know there are other brands also, like I think Hunts, but I will only use Heinz so that was a really good find for me. -

Tonight is going to be a clean out the fridge and add pasta to it night. I think I have turkey bacon, onion, garlic cloves, carrots, fresh basil, chicken and one apple left. I will probably sautee it all with a little bit of olive oil and add it to Tinkyada penne. -
I have so many different types of music on there that I can't even keep track. but Bon Jovi, Nickelback and Toby Keith are the bands that I have the most songs from.
