ARCHIVED Nutrition And Wellness Consultant
alex11602 posted a topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
I just had to share with people who might care that I am about to receive my certificate in Nutrion and Wellness Consulting. I have finished the final and now I only have to submit it and wait for the results. I have not been able to complete a school program before now because of depression which is so much better now and I am so happy. Celiac pointed me... -
I know it's easier said then done, but I think we need to figure out a way to just let the comments roll off our backs. It hurts, it ticks us off, sometimes makes us want to cry, but if we let it bother us...it is only us that hurts in the long run. Of course this is coming from the one who tries to stand up to her mother and can't seem to do it, I always...

I used the same recipe actually although my flour was at room temp since I had just gotten it. I will try letting them rest next time, my daughter keeps asking me to make them again. -

((((hugs)))) I am so sorry that you are going through this. There isn't really anything that I could say to make it easier, but I just wanted to say that I think you are hear to be an inspiration. Reading your posts on this forum has given me a sense of hope about getting well when it seems bleak so thank you. And again I am so sorry that you are having to... -
For right now I mostly avoid the situation since I have 2 young children, a 5 year old who has upset family by asking about gluten and a 20 month old who doesn't really talk yet, so it is difficult for them to understand. And no one seems to understand my husband's decision to go completely gluten free with us (he didn't want to cc us and we found out there...

I only got as far as the meat and dessert for tonight. We are having ham for dinner, probably some kind of potato on the side with peach blueberry crumble for dessert. -
I just tried to make the Simple Bread recipe from Elana's Pantry... Open Original Shared Link and it was a crumbly mess, although a tasty one. It was much smaller then the picture shows and rather thin since my loaf pan was bigger. I used honey as a sub like I have for her zucchini bread, pancakes, and cinnamon apple muffins and they have turned out...

ARCHIVED Bread Machine Question

Chiming in here really late here, but I have experience with attempting to bake with olive oil and I just wanted to say that even light olive oil is often too heavy when you are trying to bake and you will end up with something that is extremely dense. My last attempt was so dense that it was had a gummy feeling to it. It is the one thing I haven't been able... -

Are you looking for regular meal cookbooks or baked good type cookbooks? For regular meals I just use my old cookbooks and adapt when I need to. Alot of the ones that I have are Taste of Home and I have some that are Better Homes and Garden, I also find alot of recipes online since I can't buy anymore cookbooks (I have probably 20 regular size and at... -

Last night my husband ended up marinating one steak in fresh squeezed oranges and the other in lemon and lime juice overnight and then cooking it on the George Foreman. He also attempted to make risotto since it one of my favorites, not bad for the first time even though not super creamy since he used regular long grain white rice. But it was served by candlelight... -

For me personally, I said to check with the doctor primarily to see if it was blood or not, which a doctor would be able to tell you, other then that I found the doctors pretty much useless. I had to spell out my symptoms and my daughters to get them to figure out what was going on and they said that if we had a positive diet response we should be considered... -

I wish I knew...my husband is making me dinner and there are 2 steaks marinating in the fridge in 2 different marinades. I smelled citrus fruits but he kicked me out of the kitchen before I could see what he was doing with it. -

I wish that we could actually have results for it, mine are way shorter too and I would love to know if it was related, if only because these kinds of things fascinate me. -

I don't mean to sidetrack here, but your comment about self-mutilation made me very curious. I cut myself for over 10 years and went to quite a few counselors and other doctors who would just prescribe meds for anxiety and depression, but none of it helped. I had stopped cutting a few months before going gluten free because I realized that my daughter was...

ARCHIVED Amande Almond Milk Yogurt
alex11602 posted a topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
One of our local grocery stores just started carrying Amande almond milk yogurt in strawberry, blueberry and peach flavors so I was looking at the site and they say they are gluten free, vegan, soy free, fruit juice sweetened, no GMO and 6 live active cultures. It is a little bit pricer so it would be a treat, but before I get it I was wondering if anyone...
