For some reason my brain is fried today so I'm gonna reply in bullets since it's the only way I can think today. Ask that you be served first or go through the buffet line first. Take enough food for your whole meal and don't get seconds or plan on eating leftovers. Then it's not a problem if serving spoons accidentally get switched or something else happens...

I don't know the effectiveness but it will taste disgusting. I was told to rinse my mouth with hydrogen peroxide to help canker sores heal, it was so nasty tasting I gaged and nearly threw up. You might be better off with an actual toothpaste. As for your other questions, why must you use only roll on and spray deorderants? There are a number of wheat... -

Not to be the party pooper, but cancer doesn't always hurt. My grandfather was diagnosed with stage 3 metastasised lymphoma in May and his only symptom was an enlarged lymph node in his neck he was in no pain. Regardless, good luck. -

Make sure that you don't plan any activities the day of your endoscopy. I planned on going to my ballet class that was 6 hours after my procedure thinking that I didn't need sleep after my tonsils were out I wouldn't this time. I woke up an hour after class started after a 7 hour nap. Also, get valet parking if available or have the car brought to the exit... -
What does the pediatritions think? Perhaps you should discuss this with your child's dr and see if he has found skylarks study to be true, and if he feels it's important enough for you to find a procedure that works for you to be able to introduce gluten. Personally, I would introduce it during the window where it is suppose to be helpful even if you don...

They are right many genetic diseases do shorten life span and medical science does extend the lives of some. Diseases like cystic fibrosis definately are helped by medical breakthroughs. My friend in college has CF and she went through all of the medications and treatments that she has to do every day and all of that are why she is alive. However, science...

ARCHIVED Why Do Some People Feel They *must* Have An Endoscopy?
sariesue replied to Monklady123's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
For some they need to know that eating gluten is actually damaging their body in order for them to be strictly compliant with a gluten free diet. If you are still in school there is a need for a dx to receive accommodations especially in college. Colleges do not have to provide gluten free foods or special housing without a dr's dx and note. For some... -
I found a roll recipe that was very good and taste and have a similar texture to gluten dinner rolls. I found it on the King Arthur website, it is based on using their gluten-free flour blend. The only changes I made were I substituted the hi-fiber flour for 1/4C of th KA gluten-free flour. I also did not use the optional cake optimiser since my grocery store...

Is he dyhrdated? When people lose too much fluid they become dehydrated and dehydration is very serious. Tremor and exhaustion are signs of dehydration as is confusion. I would be more concerned with keeping your husband hydrated than gloating over his misfourtune of being ill. There are many many different reasons he could be sick most of which are not celiac... -

ARCHIVED Going To The Zoo

What is the big deal with eating in the parks anyway? Growing up my family NEVER ate in a park except maybe an ice cream. With the exception of the disney trip, but meals were included with our package. Simply because of the expense of feeding my family of 4 at an amusement park and because my sister was a vegetarian. When we went to 6 flags we would pack... -
If a customer complained about the possibility of you being contagious, your employer being a restaurant(where you work with food and the public) has every right to require a note saying that the rash isn't contagious. They need to have legal proof that you really aren't contagious. I know at the restaurant where I work they can demand a note if they think...

Can you switch to gluten-free wraps instead? I had some corn torillas that made good wraps for sandwitches. Or you could use lettuce for wraps. -

It's just butter, shortening, confectioners sugar, and vanilla. side note if you are looking for a basic recipe you can generally find something on google. There is a company called stillriding pizza that sells the pizzas to pizza places. To find a pizza place that carries stillriding go to Open Original Shared Link There might be one by you. -

Have you had a discussion with your inlaws that you are having difficulty coping when people eat things like rolls in front of you and perhaps ask that they not have rolls at dinner for now. If you don't feel comfortable approaching them you could have your husband bring up the subject since they are his parents. -
ARCHIVED Why Are People So Insensitive?
sariesue replied to espresso261's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
If you find that explaining celiac to others difficult you could tell them that you don't feel comfortable discussing your health with stangers. As for the conference did you tell the chefs/people running the conference that you needed a gluten free meal before you arrived? I wonder if they could have adapted more if they had more time to prepare. If... -

This post screams I need help. Please go find a GOOD therapist, as soon as possible. Take this post if you need a starting point as it can be hard to jump into your problems with a complete stranger. Therapy has been proven to work very well with situational depression. If the first therapist you find isn't a good fit, find another. Therapists are worse than... -
ARCHIVED Can Other Allergies Be Caused By Gluten Intolerance?
sariesue replied to LOWNskater52's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
The problem with illegal drugs is that they are illegal. So they are not regulated like prescription drugs, this means ANYTHING could be in the drugs. So if you have any sort of allergy or intolerance, it's probably to best avoid all unregulated substances. -
