    ARCHIVED Jason's Deli

That is crazy. That is the location I visit most often and I never have a problem. Maybe they have imporoved since your visit. I have only been gluten free for a few months. I would have left if I were you as well.
  3. Thank you so much for posting this. I was just getting on here to find some places to eat when I visit Jackson for work later this month. Is there anywhere else you would recommend besides the chains like Outback, etc?

    ARCHIVED Chik Fil A

I have never had a problem with Chick-fil-a. They do a really good job. A manager at a local store told me they can do the grilled nuggets and chicken strips. I finally got brave enough to try the nuggets. I personally would just as well have a chicken breast I cut up myself, but I am sure kids would really like it. I want to try the strips next.
  5. Thanks so much for posting this. I have been battling plantar fasciitis for 2.5 years. Although I have gotten some relief through the shoes, supports, etc, it has not gone away. I was thinking about the relationship when it has recently gotten worse. I have gotten gluten 3 times recently. Hopefully, this will get better as I continue to heal! I was worried...
  6. Yes, they are. I just had one over Christmas. I would call your local store to double check though.
  7. Here is a recipe I found that I have planned on trying. Haven't yet. I am not sure if you feel up to cooking or not. It doesnt seem to hard. Open Original Shared Link Recently, a friend that said EnerG has a cracker just like saltines. I haven't tried them yet either. Good luck!

    ARCHIVED Jason's Deli

I have not had a problem with the ones here in AR. They have been great and do carry the bread. Perhaps it was a new manager that didn't understand??
  9. That is so very nice! sounds like a true friend!
  10. That is so great! Many times I have wondered if I could get out of a speeding ticket if I got pulled over during those times. Then again the true fear of getting pulled over was the delay, not so much the ticket.
  11. I think the manager was really cheap on that one. They should have at least given you a free appetizer or something on your next visit in addition to the $8 off. Make sure they try to get you to come back. Sorry that happened!
  12. First, I am sorry if this is on the site and I couldn't find it. My DH has been very supportive of me going gluten free. He actually works at PF CHangs part time and knows about CC and knew a bit about the problems. Once I approached it as a potential problem, he was like 'I can see that...". However, I don't think he recognizes the emotional problems...
  13. First, so awesome of you to be so caring and willing to accomodate at such a early stage. Is it wierd to carry around toothbrush - absolutely not. For completly different reasons, I used to in high school. I had some family issues and kind of traveled from friends house to friends house. I always had my back up essentials and no one ever once questioned that...
  14. I am SO curious of finding out how much my doctor friend knows about celiac and gluten sensitivity. She is about a year older than me, but we went to grad school for the first year together. She then was accepted to medical school but finished both degrees. I highly respect her knowledge and opinions so far. Unfortunely, she moved 3 hours away from me about...
  15. I just want to thank everyone that takes their time out of their lives for this forum. I know a lot of people, myself included, come here for information. That would never work if there wasn't such dedicated and nice people to share their information (probably over and over). I have had a really bad day today (not gluten related as far as I know), but just...
  16. Welcome! I am a newbie, too! Congratulations on finding out what was causing you problems. Good luck with your new life! My biggest piece of advice is to always have something easy and on hand to eat, whether at home or away from home. That helps you cope with it so much better.
  17. I am so glad to hear your mom is supportive of you staying gluten free. I by no mean have that much experience with this, and I know someone will provide more info on how much gluten it takes. I do know after reading several posts that everyone is different. Also, that the longer you are gluten free, the more noticeable your symptoms will be and very likely...
  18. That is such a crazy article! Maybe it will help someone though. I think he said that to make his money. He had done all this work for her, but he most likely needed to see her to make the money!
  19. I completely sympathize! I was so excited, because I didn't think I had a lactose problem. Now I realize I do. It is only minor as far as I can tell and am very hopeful its just temporary and not casein. My big question - Is there a replacement for sour cream? I love sour cream. I will have to check out that movie. I have said for over awhile now...
  20. I have waited tables for several years. That waitress sounds rude and lazy! Even though I kind of knew what Celiac was, I really didn't have a clue. However, if anyone ever talked about allergies then I took it serious and got the manager and cooks involved. Please, please, please no one eat at Applebee's. I worked there for 2 years and my step-sister...
  21. Thank you! Poor girl is about to start heartworm treatment right after Christmas. She is a rescue. Going to be PTS just b/c she has pit bull in her :(

  22. Your dog is adorable!!!

  23. Thanks! My stress level has been really high, too with non-related gluten issues. That doesn't help. This site and all the people on here are such a life saver. I don't know how I would have managed going gluten free without this place to visit. Even though I have not been active on the board very long, I was lurking around here at least a month before I...
  24. Yep, I have been thinking that I may either have some affects of that or I have gotten some small amount of gluten somewhere. I am so not the sensitive person either and have been pretty sensitive the last couple of days. Exactly. When we were camping I actually told her that I kept seeing psoriasis and alopecia over and over on this site...
  25. Yes, Chad, I agree. I love the making fun of each other with friends. Which that was something I learned from my husband. I wasn't raised in that environment and very thankful for being able to laugh at myself now. I guess I am used to that and really don't want to know what people say behind the scenes.
