If I use 1/2# pasta I use 10-12 garlic cloves slice thin in 1/2 cup EVOO, heat low-med till garlic starts to brown (don't burn it will be bitter).   14. Here's my I idea of beating the weather photo. This past January I had to go to Florida for a funeral of my 50 yr old cousin. We had a really bad winter in Long Island New York. The week after I came back the snow was a bit much and I grabbed my snorkel equipment and I was back in Key Largo. Always smile when I see this one.

  20. Been growing my own for years, with a short growing season I dry as many as I can for the winter. I buy some fresh (expensive) during the Winter months if I need them. I also have McCormick in the pantry.

  23. Add another Nerd to the list. Beside eating constantly (cracker, bread, etc) to get rid of the nausea I just kept blowing up like a balloon and might add not feeling any better (duh gluten). I'm 5 weeks gluten-free and have lost 10 pounds. I probably eat more now in the morning then I ever have, feel awesome and have a good outlook. Happy Thanksgiving...
  24. I haven't done any baking yet but I did read in one Bread book that Guar Gum can be substituted for Xanthan Gum. But, like I said it was in a bread book.
  25. Call me anal but right now I'm not touching anything that is on shared equipment (too new). I've made my own humus, but Costco does have a brand that is G.F. and FYI Wise:)Potato Chips are gluten-free.
