  1. So my son is having symptoms again (we suspect some candy he got at a party...but anyways) and we are talking about what to do to with him. He wanted to stay home and do something he enjoys because he has a stomach ache. So my wife says to him "you can't stop living just because of a stomach ache.." I think most adults would understand what she meant...
  2. Heh, we used to call him Tymber online.. but got dropped along the way. Between homeschooling, and Karate so far we have been able to work on teaching him to cope with his ADHD without drugs. I am not against medication when it is needed (heck, I have done the ADHD meds myself) but if we can training him to cope with out drugs, he will be much better off...
  3. Thanks all! Timothy is 8, he will be 9 by the time (this November) he tests for his full Black Belt. My wife and I are taking class with him, so we all will be testing in November. Should be fun! They also just invited him to join the CIT program (Certified Instructor Training)! This started as a way to treat his ADHD, and now had grown...
  4. Speaking of AWSOME... check out my son now...
  5. I feel a bit bad reading this thread, because all your posts are pretty funny! But must have been really frustrating. We have not had that problem yet, most people are very understanding. Of course we bring all our own food, and I am NOT known for being gentle or soft on anything so just might be that they are afraid of me. (did I mention my entire family...
  6. Yes, well I used my GPS and iPhone with Google maps... but I got here in the triple digit temps anyways!
  7. HAHA! Great find! Just read 10 pages of it.. then like "I really should get some work done..."
  8. Oh, I could too.. and I expect anyone could scroll up. Just poking a little fun.
  9. 20 lashes with a wet gluten-free noodle!
  10. Thats great and funny and stuff... but how about you link to the FIRST post so we can see what you are talking about LOL
  11. Now you are just being picky about details!
  12. Just got back form the fireworks here in NJ... tomorrow have to hit the road home to an empty fridge... ah well at least is it gluten-free now
  13. I am not a doctor, and you need to take all medical advice carefully... however in my opinion if you are already gluten-free then and endoscope would be pointless, and if you primary doc has already given you the DX, then there is no need for a GI. I personally would just go gluten-free and not look back. Talk with your doc about it and see what he says though...
  14. Yep it is very commonly mentioned on this forum. Your gut is probably a wreck right now, and it can not handle things like it should. Down the road you can try those foods again... several months to a couple years depending on your rate of healing and other magically random factors. Stick to what you know is safe, and take it slow.
  15. Heh, this storm going to end up costing us between $1000-$1500 BUT we are so much better prepared for next time. The only thing I need to do is get the parts to wire the generator safely into the main power and get that hooked up properly. Its big enough to power our little place with out much issue, except the central air. Oh, we decided...
  16. So chatted with my boss... and the deal I worked out is we drive back on Thursday during business hours, and they do not doc me for being out at all. Might hate HAVING to work for a living, but working at Liberty University is darn good place to work.
  17. Soooo I have do not chickens, and I am not a pirate... but we have had an adventure! Friday night, my wife (she is not a pirate either...) and I were watching Eureka on NetFlix when a big storm comes through the area ( details Open Original Shared Link ) and we loose power. Okay... not so bad... cept it is record breaking heat wave at same time! So...
  18. Great find. I grabbed it. Probably will send to family members as required reading before my son can visit.
  19. Thanks everyone!!! All the gluten-free tortillas I have see are high carb. Do you know of one that is not and can be found easy? I do not live where there are a lot of specialty stores/foods. Maybe, I just do not have a place to take care of / clean all the stuff at my desk. I'll have to think on this one. Just...
  20. You need to send them a link to this thread.
  21. I wonder if he feels she is revealing to much private info. Some people are not as comfortable with public lives as others. He may be embarrassed even by the medical issues. If that is the case, it is good that she respects him enough to pull out.
  22. Okay... I think I wandered into a bad place LOL
  23. In another forum (a writers forum) one of our regular members is about to have her first baby, so I sent her: and To help her get ready. :D
  24. The only tests I know of... 1) You could order a genetic test which would tell you if you are at risk to get celiac disease or not. 2) Entrolab states their stool test is sensitive enough to work even a year or two gluten-free. I do not know how good/reliable they are, opinions here seem mixed. That is about all I know of UNLESS you are willing...
