  1. The only thing I can liken it to is if you've ever put your hands into really hot dishwater and not expected it to be so HOT, you jump around and wave your hands "HOTHOTHOTHOTHOTHOT!!" it was like that in reverse. ...Look, up in the sky, It's a bird, It's a plane, It's...It's...It's Gluten Intolerant and it appears to be having a...
  2. I think that's the universal signal for "send toilet paper"
  3. I would rather have been where I was. I'm not big on public restrooms. That is another thread (a long one). Your ballooning story brought to mind a book that my 4yo borrowed from the library "The Flight of the Dodo"- mind you HER MOTHER helped pick it out. It is about a penguin who is moinding his own business one day when *splat* a goose poops on him...
  4. I would've kill for a quick sit in your sauna that day! They say the mind functions better at lower temperatures...not for me apparently...
  5. Can somebody tell me what sets this stuff apart from other gluten-free bread (texture/flavor/special anti-crumble ingredients?/All of the above)? Everybody raves about it, but I have yet to track it down locally. I would love to try it if it is as good as everyone says. Just curious about what makes it so much better. That's all. (here's your chance to relate...
  6. Thanks, I'm well enough to be at work. I'm not slacking off, really...
  7. Did Alfred ( ) PM you? He's my hero. I hope you're laughing at the Hair/80's stuff and not the "powder clean" post...because THAT WASN'T FUNNY
  8. Here's the tentative schedule. The catch-up show is Weds. this week! Open Original Shared Link
  9. I've to Lake Placid before, but never gluten-free. Does anybody know of any gluten-free eateries up there? I'll be there for a week, so I'd rather not live out of my suitcase/lunch box. Thanks in advance.
  10. ...on second thought, with this e. coli business, maybe she's on to something (or the cause of it all). You could throw in your spinach with a little Clorox, rinse, spin, and dine without fear. Maybe throw it in the dryer to steam it too?
  11. I bet nobody eats her salad anymore!
  12. Now that George Michael and Elton John have ended their feud, maybe George has some free time? He could be your spokesman? He could also advise on how to get that perfect feathered look too!
  13. ...or you could do it another way... I kid you not, I saw this on Talk Soup the other night (nothing else on). It was a clip from Rachel Ray's new talk show. I guess she has a segment where viewers send in helpful how-to's or something. Anywho, the clip opens with this woman in front of her washing machine with a HUGE bowl of lettuce. She dumps it in the...
  14. Just make sur that you get the XXXXL shirt (with some phrase in 10" block letters on it - ala WHAM!) and an extra wide belt to match. If you're gonna do it, go whole hog! See above on appropriate hair.
  15. In my younger days I worked for a land surveyor. I worked outside year round, in good weather and bad. Now mind you this was waaaaay before I was diagnosed, so it hadn't yet occurred to me to carry a couple of tissues with me into the great outdoors. On this particular day, in the middle of January, I was struck with the urge in the middle of the woods, with...
  16. I would say my wife agrees. She saw what you see there and couldn't pass up the opportunity to preserve it for..."posterity"
  17. OK I take back everything I've said or insinuated about wanting to cheat. All this talk of cheating has finally caught up to me. I visited by the gluten fairy today. I don't know how/when/where she did it, but BLECK! I feel like cr*p. Now I remember why I'm on this diet in the first place...and I'll be "remembering" tomorrow, and the next day, and probably...
  18. Isn't "Do no harm" part of the Hippocratic oath? I thought doctors where good with bigs words...maybe not so good with the little ones?
  19. Congrats on the yummy pizza! I've been trying different packaged mixes, but have yet to find one that suit's my pizza snob pallet. The other night I gave up and made apizza bagel from a Glutino Bagel. It was actually the best pizza I have had since going gluten-free! The best part was, there was no mess to clean up!
  20. Jamestown - hometown to Lucille Ball & Natalie Merchant? (and the 9,998 other maniacs) ...dare i ask why you moved?
  21. (heard over megaphone)... step away from the edge, and for God's sake put down that blondie!
  22. BRILLIANT!
  23. Ianelli's? That's the only place that comes to mind. I don't think they mind. Heck it's Saturday afternoon, they're probably too busy painting each other to be following this board! Uh, I gotta go...there's a man with a red and blue face at my front door...says I got some 'splainin' ta do...
