    Thanks everyone! I did call the office today and they were very knowlegable about celiac disease and say they have several patients with it. The receptionist knew exactly what I was talking about, so that's a good step. Ella goes tomorrow morning, but they will basically just count her teeth and brush them. No flouride this time.     Thank you all for the suggestions. Have you found that the stuff they use usually contains gluten? I have yet to come across a toothpaste that does have gluten in it, so that's why I'm wondering. I will definitely get their product info so I can call about it before we go in. I don't think they use the flouride at the fist appointment at this office...

    We are going to take dd for her first trip to the dentist now that she's three. I am wondering if anyone has ever had a problem with the flouride or anything containing gluten. He said the did the "celiac panel" I am just wondering what the actual numbers were because my son had been gluten-free for about 2 weeks prior to testing, which shouldn't make that big of a difference, but who knows?     Thank you all so much for the advice. I will definitely call there today and see if I can stop by for his results. They want us to keep him eating gluten for the next month to see if he grows appropriately (he hasn't gained anything and has lost a little the last 5 months) and I just don't agree with that.     I don't want his GI to think that I don't trust what he told me, but we had a really bad experience with bad drs. before we found out that my daughter was gluten intolerant and I would really like to read all the lab reports with the actual numbers and read what the pathologist wrote about his biopsies with my own eyes.     I don't know if Hy-Vee is just local to around here, but they are a larger grocery chain and they have lots of gluten-free products as well as knowledgable dieticians. We use the Hy-Vee brand children's chewables from there. Hope you find some. Shannon

    Lately when I've posted a new topic on here I can't find it... Anyway, I'll just update on here. We got home this morning from Jack's tests. The dr. said that everything looked normal and I guess he may not have celiac. He did take biopsies. He said that Jack still had a pretty good amount of stool stuck in there even after the enemas and laxatives...

    Well, the dr. said that just by looking everything looked totally normal with Jack.     Thank you all for thinking of us. Jack is still pretty sick. He has not vomited yet today, but also has not eaten anything. I can't even get him to eat one cheerio. He has kept down fluids. We just got back some lab results and he tested negative for all parasites and c-diff. The only thing that was positive was that there was blood in his stool. ...

    Thanks Merika. That's what we've decided to do. I am taking him in shortly to have his blood drawn and I am going to talk with dr. about moving up his biopsy, which is scheduled for next Wed. He is still vomiting with diarrhea and I can't stand seeing him this sick. We'll see how it goes Shannon

    Thanks Nisla. I guess I'm not entirely sure how well he responded to the diet. His diarrhea was a less frequent, but the consistency was still much the same.     Thank you for your support. I had to call the dr. back because Jack had 2 more diarrhea diapers with more blood in them, so I was concerned.
