    ok. I've just spent almost an hour looking online for information about sandy or grainy stools and have found pretty much NOTHING!!! Maybe my kiddos are just weird. I do have to get a new prescription diaper rash cream for ds though. His little bottom is now bleeding from the diarrhea. I've never seen a diaper rash this bad before and I feel so badly...

    My kids' stools almost look like they literally ate sand from a sandbox. It is very hard to get off their skin with baby wipes. We don't have a sandbox and they have not been around one, so I know that's not what it is. No doctor that we have brought this up with has been able to help us. Just wondering if anyone on here had experienced it...

    I know that Ella's stools used to be like this (pre gluten-free diet), so maybe this is just my kids, but can it be due to gluten?     My dd had very bad hair loss and was actually bald or near-bald on parts of her head. We actually couldn't even put her hair up in a ponytail because you could really see where all the hair was missing. Her hair fell out in large clumps when gently tugged on and also fell out if we combed it. She still has thin hair although it is no longer falling out...

    I'm sorry they didn't have more answers for you. I don't even know if I can give Gas-X to a 3 year old. I'm sorry your dd had to hear that comment about her looking pregnant. Little kids can be so cruel. I hope she handled it ok. Let me know if they end up testing her for anything. Good luck!

    Is it just her stomach that is big? My dd is only 3 1/2 and is a little chubby in her arms and legs although I wouldn't say for a second that she is "overweight". She is only about 30lbs, which is average for her age. She just has such a huge tummy. She was quite skinny in her arms and legs before going gluten-free and although she has filled out everywhere...

    My dd's stomach still looks quite bloated a lot of the time. What could be causing this?     Thank you. I actually did take her into the dentist and they got it off her teeth. They told me to wipe her teeth off if I noticed it again. It was just from excess iron. I haven't really had a problem with it since, actually! Thanks for your suggestion though.

    I just stumbled upon this at the grocery store today. I had never seen it before. It is corn based no ingredients contain gluten. I read the label many times and even called General Mills and they confirmed that they do not "hide" gluten and it would be clearly stated as wheat, oat, barely, or rye. I just though I would pass this along because I'm sure...

    The new boxes of Trix with a copyright of 2006 are gluten-free. There is no wheat starch listed in the ingredients. I know it's confusing because there are still lots of 2005 boxes on shelves and those do contain wheat. Hope that helped. I hope you figure out what's going on with Emmie soon!

    Endless appetite was the main problem that we had with my dd. She would eat ALL the time and was also very tiny. Only 18lbs and 27inches at a year old. She should have been 40lbs at least.     We're in the Midwest. I get most of her gluten-free products from a chain here called Hy-Vee. There is also a store here called Greatest Grains, which may carry them. I looked at the two closest Hy-Vee stores here and didn't see them but they all seem to carry different things so I'm going to call around. Thanks again!

    Does anyone know for sure? According to Dangerous Grains, they shouldn't be consumed if you're trying to be gluten free, but I thought that they were ok to eat.     Oh my gosh! My toddler looked JUST like that drawing before she went gluten free. However, sometimes she still looks kind of like that and still doesn't have a butt.     I just wanted to say that my gluten intolerant dd used to have sandy, grainy stools and NO dr could ever say what caused that. Now that she's gluten free it cleared up. I don't know if that would have cleared up on its own or not... I wish you the best of luck. I hope you find the answers you're looking for.
