  1. Thanks Tanya for the great update. Still praying for the continued improvement.
  2. Thanks Molly. I was going to order the chocolate items as I really need to put on some weight and they are out of them. I will order the tart sampler for now.
  3. that is such GREAT news that Megan is going home today. I bet everyone will be glad to be back home - including Megan. Love, Hugs and Prayers.
  4. Thank you Tanya for the updates. I am still praying hard for Megan and the whole family. May all the warm HUGS on this board incircle you and give you comfort.
  5. I wonder if the natural flavors are a corn product? I will have to buy some and see if I react. Thanks.
  6. My store does not have it and before I drive to other stores, I need to know if it contains casein (dairy) or corn. Thanks to anyone who answers. I put off making my own until I make potato salad. So, I end up with mustard on turkey, instead of mayo.
  7. Karen, I love your Monkee cards as they are the absolute best and the funniest. The one you sent me when I was sick, I think I read daily every day for weeks. Laughter is so good for the soul. Thanks for being you.
  8. Patti, I am doing better, but the doctor said this past Monday that I have a ways to go in the recovery process. I don't post long answers, but have started to again get into the forum. Can you give me a link for the ice cream that you make? I only ordered a qt. of the chocolate and wished I had ordered more this last time. I really had no idea how...
  9. Please listen to your Doctor, when he said she has Celiac and keep her gluten free before some long term damage is done. It sounds like you have a great doctor. Tests on children under 5 our not reliable and are not always reliable in adults. Her improvement on being on a gluten-free diet says it all.
  10. Patti, you have to try the Vance's chocolate milk. It tastes just like regular chocolate milk. Even my gluten eating granddaughter thinks it tastes the same. So yummy.
  11. Thanks Lynne for saying so well, what I also think. Each thread is to help with a particular problem for a Celiac. Our individuals beliefs should not come into play. We are here to be educated on Celiac Disease and how to deal with the daily problems we encounter in handling this disease. Lets please keep to the topic and not try and convert people to...
  12. I APPROVE the trophy.
  13. Still praying for good health for Megan and for this to beresolved without other surgery. God Bless.
  14. In answer to your question on the first page. Yes, I have used an epi-pen several times and that is why I carry one at all times. Yes, your food allergies can get worse. I have watched carefully for casein for almost 20 years and watched for soy for the last 4 years. I knew corn was an allergen for me, but did not realize what all the things that corn...
  15. That is wonderful news that she is breathing on her own. Yes, the little ones are so resillent. I remember when a dog attacked my granddaughter in the face. I had to prewarn my husband what to expect and that it would be better in the future. They operated on her face at midnight and the next morning she had had no pain killers. She could only eat soft...
  16. I don't know about anyone else, but I cry when I read all the wonderful updates. Yes, the prayers should not stop as there is a ways to go for Megan. But, the news is more fantastic with each update. Pink nailbeds is so awesome.
  17. That is such great news about Megan. Such a little trooper and a fighter to boot. Hugs and well wishes to Megan, Tanya and the family.
  18. Rachel. I just got off the phone to my compounding pharmacy and they have not heard of ketotifen. They were going to contact the compounding company they use and see if they have. I said that I would contact you for your phamachist name in California. I am not doing well and just don't have the energy to hunt through all these pages for the info. Could...
  19. Take a doctor's orders for the food with you. I had to bribe an official for a small amount of coffee I was bringing in (years ago). They like bribes with American dollars. Maybe things have changed since then. I was not diagnosed on my Mexico trip.
  20. I will be praying special prayers for Megan and all of you tomorrow. HUGS.
  21. Thank you for the updated posting on the surgery date. I can understand that you are relieved that you now have a firm date, but want to throw up at the same time. I cannot compare to what you are going through, but there have been times in my life that I have felt the same way - relief and also frightened of what is ahead. Many prayers and certainly lots...
  22. I thought I had read that Scleroderma was also related to Celiac, but I also can't remember where. I have Morphia Scleroderma, diagnosed by 3 biopsies after a section of my back caved in.
  23. Beverly, I am so sorry that you are so sick. My antibiotics (the IV's ones) gave me gluten like problems for the 14 days out of 15 that I was taking it. I stopped them on Tuesday and I am just coming out of the problems. Each person is different and maybe your reaction was later. I really don't know, but you probably should be checked for c-diff, just...
  24. I carry an epi-pen in my purse at all times. I have had three reactions with the throat closing, that I have no idea what did it. And thank God, my epi-pen was in my purse. I also keep one handy in the home at all times. It is so scary when it happens and I certainly don't want you to go through that again. Try to stick to fresh items and meat for now...
