ARCHIVED Megan's Gagging Isn't Any Better
mouse replied to TCA's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
That is wonderful news about Megan. Hard to believe this is the same baby that everyone was praying to put on enough weight for surgery. Still sending prayers and hugs to all of you. -

Floridian, I am a dumb bird. It took me all this time to hit F5 to see what everyone is talking about. I want to know how you got a photo of me? But, I do think a bow would be nice in my short hairdo and I am so partial to red. -

I am so sorry Chelsea about your troop. Another human who is teaching wonderful things to the young, by setting a good example . All I can say is do not lower yourself to her standards. You are GREATER then her and it will all eventually right itself. -
ARCHIVED Isolation-first Timer Here

That is so great Kate that you are beside him on this. He probably is also finding it hard to believe. We have members on here that have had friends, family and loved ones walk away because they did not want to deal with it. You may find that someone has walked away when he got ill or even got his diagnosis. Good Luck to you both and am glad you are finding... -

Hi Chloe, welcome to the Rachel thread. Hi Karen, I hope you are doing a little better today. Always prayers and super wrapable hugs. -

I saw the comment as soon as I came to Rachelville. Carla said it all (mostly). This will be interesting to watch - he he. No other comment. -

Beverly, what do you mean the blood tests don't look good? In what way don't they look good. I need everything spelled out for brain dead me (I should have applied for Village Idiot). Sorry for asking, if you don't want to share the information at this time. Many hugs to a get well fast Beverly. Karen, I so pray everyday that they find out what... -
Yes, there is a connection. There are several of us on here with Celiac and Vitiligo. My Vitiligo has not gotten much worse since I went gluten-free 2 1/2 years ago. As far as other auto-immune diseases, I would not be too concerned as she has her young age working for her. By being totally gluten free with no cross contamination you are helping her to...

I HAVE to read this thread several times a day or I am absolutely lost. That is why you saw me lurking. Today has not been a good one for me and have slept most of the day and am still in my PJ's. Tomorrow will be a better day as they usually are when I have a lousy one. That was certainly a convoluted sentence. So, I am finishing scanning the forum... -
ARCHIVED Pre-bottled Frappaccino
mouse replied to Guhlia's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I know the Starbucks Mocha is gluten-free as I used to drink them by the case to keep my weight on and for energy. Now I am being a good girl and avoiding corn, soy and casein. I miss my fraps. -
ARCHIVED Healing In Older Celiacs Vs. Younger Celiacs
mouse replied to trents's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
I read it and found it very depressing. Hopefully I read it wrong. I was diagnosed at age 62 and am now 64. We had already figured and had been told that this is where I was going to end up at. BUT, I guess I don't want reminders. Which would explain how my food allergies went sky high. -

ARCHIVED Celiac Disease Putting A Strain On Marriage And Life
mouse replied to tsomo's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
tsomo. I am wondering if you are not getting cross contamination on a regular basis. You should not still be having bloating all the time unless gluten is getting into your diet. I should mention that dairy would also give you the same symptoms if dairy is a problem for you. May I suggest that you go through all of your kitchen and figure out where the... -

I don't post much on this thread, but it takes me SEVERAL times a day to catch up with the postings. It looks like "The Dave" has been entrapped with Rachelville and he also does not want to miss anything. Rachel, my compounding pharmacy is able to make me the RX, but the ingred is on back order and they hope to get it this week. Can't wait to start... -
ARCHIVED Las Vegas--where To Eat On The Strip?
mouse replied to CantEvenEatRice's topic in Gluten-Free Restaurants
I stay at the Mirage and have lunch at Carnegie Deli (Mirage). The Pastrami and Corned Beef are gluten free (and also corn free - I called). I take my bread to the deli, if I want to make a sandwich. Ask them to serve your choice on a separate plate. I also have dinner at Stack which is at the Mirage and pretty exspensive, but will worth it. The dinner... -

Wonderful news about Megan's continuing recovery. Just wish the gagging would go away. Hope you got some much needed rest last night. Prayers and many hugs still coming your way. -
ARCHIVED Tymber The Wonder Toddler!
mouse replied to VydorScope's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
I am so happy for all of you. But, especially happy for Timothy. Because of you being his parents never giving up, Timothy will now have a quality of life that every child should have. Take plenty of pics of his 3rd Birthday party. My favorite is still the one you are using now for your Avitar. -

Some people on this board have a problem with Blue Diamond because of cross contamination. Thank G__ that I can still eat them as I have not found any other cracker that does not have corn in it. Sorry that you are so sick. -

I get off the computer for 3 hours and have to go back 4 pages to catch up again. Then I hit refresh so that I can read the posts I missed while I was playing catch up. -
When I recently had pneumonia, I had a PICC line installed and a nurse came in daily to put the antibiotic in. My doctor said that the hospitals here cannot safely feed his diabetic patients and they would have no idea what to safely feed me. With his diabetic patients they sometimes give them a chocolate sundae for desert. Every dietician should know...

Karen, the cows can be lactose free, but they also have to be casein free. What great cows we will have and they will have the cleanest teats - he he. Isn't Rachelville the greatest place to live. We will never have to worry about being glutened or cross contaminated. Went to bed early and woke up to three pages to read to catch up. We... -

ARCHIVED Omg...i Might Be On To Something
mouse replied to Rachel--24's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Hey Beverly, watch what you say about a job. I happened to mention a couple of hundred pages back that my husband and I watched my brother-in-laws dairy farm while they went on vacation. They have me down to milk cows and I never milked a cow in my life. All I did was wash the cows teats and my husband hooked the machines up. I ought to be great on a... -
