  1. I found a company that makes gluten free and salicylate free vitamins, shampoos, conditioners, lotion and more. No sals also means no corn! Yes! They are called cleure. Check it out guys: Open Original Shared Link Had to share it
  2. Thx everybody. I luvs you guys :-)
  3. So, tomorrow I am going to call my doctor about the plastics allergy. I did not have this problem before the gluten challenge. I had a reaction to a friggin clipboard today and I cannot deal with it anymore. I am gonna put pressure on him to make this a priority. I am tired of reacting to plastics and not knowing which ones; I mean, it Is everywhere after...
  4. I am experimnting with making a breakfast bar at home. The biggest problem so far is that i keep eating it before it is done So yummy. So I have an oat problem and I am low salicylate. It is really hard to find a bar that its my needs so I decided to Make one to fit me. I love cashews. I bought some cashews and put them in a processed with a little...
  5. Exactly! That is precisely the point in full disclosure. That is why they should list everything on the label or otherwise make the ingredients, processing method and so on attainable in some way. Even in many schools there are rules about using scented lotions or distributing foods. It is to protect against people having allergic reactions. In...
  6. Open Original Shared Link Another theory as to why Gluten can be addictive. Is this true? Open Original Shared Link I looked at several reputable sites and can't seem to find much touching the subject. Hmm makes you wonder what they don't want us to know...
  7. So, I finally broke down and decided to eat some plain yogurt despite dairy intolerance. I feel even better now. I was even able to eat some carohydrates without bloating. I think I may go somewhere else to be tested for candida or bad bacteria overgrowth. I really think it is candida though because I have had thrush quite a few times before and I recognize...
  8. Yup pretty much. You cannot trust anyone these days it is a shame. You never really know what you are getting. Companies are greedy and lack values. I think the value system as a whole has been depreciated in America. It seems it used to be that you didn't give/sell anything that you would not be willing to use yourself or make something you would not feed...
  9. You made some goods points but I think the bottom line is that whether someone has an illmess or not, Everyone deserves to know what is in their food. Everyone in America deserves to know what we are buying. They should cater to us because we are the people buying their products. It is impossible to know whether a food is healthy for anyone if the ingredients...
  10. Honey, I went through the same confusion. Just to help you understand, sometimes the word "gluten" is used as a broad term to refer to any kind of grain protein. Celiacs do not react to these other proteins like maize or proteins in rice unless they have a leaky gut that caused other allergies. Anyway celiacs react to gliadin. Only in wheat, rye, and barley...
  11. I am new with the corn abstinence thing. (I say that because it makes me look like I am pregnant like gluten). The only thing I trust is kosher salt. I tried Morton's brand salt without iodine and still seemed to react to it.I have no idea how safe the "anti-caking" agents are but I just try to avoid anything that I think shouldn't be in something
  12. I recently went through it so I use a mix of baking soda and water to wash my hair. I wash my dishes with dawn and do not seem to have a problem with it. I wash my hands with dawn as well. It lasts a lot longer and I do this because I do not have the money to buy all the specialty products right now.
  13. I would say it could be something you are eating or some personal care products you are using causing it. Sounds like it may be DH. I get an itchy fiery scalp with sores everytime I have high salicylate containing foods. I have not been back to my doctor since the new development so it is not diagnosed. It did not seem to come out until I went gluten free...
  14. Maybe the amount And the type of sugar or the antioxidants idk. But yes it is wonderful, I feel good all the rest of the day too. I really am starting to believe that foods and drink are the best medicine or worst poison you can have.
  15. Hmmm? Why is it that every time I have fruit, I feel like I am on top of the world. My sinuses open up, my stress is relieved, I emotionally feel awesome within minutes from two little golden delicious apples and filtered water. Very strange but I will take advantage of it.
  16. I feel for you. I was extremely anxious as I went gluten free. I used to get really scared cooking in a gluten-filled kitchen. It made me almost not want to cook. The whole time in the kitchen was extremely stressful until I was finally done. I would snap if anyone touched any of my things even stainless steel (stupid i know). My dad insisted on taking me...
  17. Yes I would think so too. Four hours worth of gas cost a lot less than your health is worth. :-)
  18. I believe you may have lactose intolerance too. Hard cheeses are processed in such a way that removes the lactose content. This can explain why it is easier on your gut. Why is it okay in biscuits...not entirely sure. I had the same sort of thing going. Maybe it is the fact that it breaks down much more slowly and does not hit all at once. Many seem to have...
  19. I think olive is high sals and idk if that would be a problem for me right now. I am attempting to lower sals in my diet and it does seem to be helping. I will keep that in mind. Hahaha! Wow that is absolutely gut-bustingly funny. I actually had planned to but found that one already made so it made me happy. The baking powder...
  20. You do seem to have a neat doctor. We all appreciate the good ones.
  21. Well feel free to learn from my mistakes. When you make catsup make sure if you use balsamic vinegar, that you read the FRONT label to make sure it is balsamic vinegar and not balsamic vinaigrette. Woopsy I grabbed the wrong bottle. Oh and do not shop when you are hungry or cook something newfrom scratch when you do not have an abundance of time. One more...
  22. I third you on that. We would not be eating mutated or genetically engineered foods that just mess up our immune systems. I am like Caselynn in that I always thought people who ate only organic were just nut cases. I never read labels until I developed sensitivities and allergies. I agree that most of our food is not food. It is no wonder we are badly...
  23. Thx beachbirdie. At some point in my life I knew I had to change my thinking. I was 245lbs. And always miserable, hungry and depressed. I heard someone mention that in order to be happy in life, we needed to be less like a thermometer and more like a thermostat. A thermometer is a direct reading of the environment we are in but a thermostat senses the...
  24. Haha lmbo! That is funny! Yeah I have not gotten to that stage with the doctor yet. I play dumb at the doctor's office so that they think they have figured out the cause of my symptoms. If you tell them straight out, they dont like it because it robs them of a chance to feed their god complex and then they will object to everything you tell them like...
  25. Wow that is something I have to be careful about, is the sound of it. Thanks for letting me know. I definitely do need something else to make me ill. Aint that the truth I just hope no one gets a concussion from all the questions I have been bouncing around Thx for the encouragement caselynn That is very interesting. That is my...
