    If he is allergic to sulfa drugs...that would be a seperate issue which is unrelated to sulfites. Sulfa and sulfites are not chemically the same....they have different properties and functions. People can have problems with both but they are two different things.

    Thats funny! Honestly, I think I still have alot to learn. I think before I can compile and organize all of this info....I will need more pieces of the puzzle.     Yup....the high quality coconut oils are good for alot of things. Coconut oil does have antifungal properties...but the shredded store bought stuff that is preserved with sulfites is definately not going to be resulting in any die-off of yeast.

I vaguely recall responding to your post and asking if it was sulfites that you reacted to.....sicne that would have been the most obvious offender. Anyways, shredded coconut (dessicated) is preserved with sulfites. It sounds to me like you're sensitive to sulfites...

    I'm not sure why the GI would tell you that you have Celiac based on the results of a colonoscopy?? The damage caused by Celiac is in the small intestine...and cannot be determined via colonoscopy. You would need an endoscopy/biopsy....not a colonoscopy. Sounds like you were misinformed by this GI.

    Sherry, What test are you doing to check your Vit. D levels?? Is it SpectraCell.....or some other test specifically for Vit. D.?? I just checked my SpectraCell results. I had 13%....the reference range is <21%.....so it looks pretty good according to these results.

    I get those symptoms from salicylates. Especially the heat/burning in my mouth and on my tongue. I also get some burning on my skin (usually around my mouth but sometimes on my shoulders). I get stiffness in my neck and shoulders as well. I dont very often feel my throat tightening or swelling or anything like that......although I might get a sore throat...

    I dont think you should do anything that is gonna make you feel miserable. I pretty much know which foods I can get away with without feeling too bad....so I didnt push it to the point that I was feeling horrible.     If you had SIBO.....how would that have resolved without treatment?? Same with candida overgrowth....if you have stuff going on which is preventing healing....then you wont heal. You havent healed from *everything* because if you had...you would be symptom free. These other problems dont usually disappear just because you've dealt with the Celiac Disease...

    Awww Paula....I'm sorry. AFP Peptizyde is the one I take. The only difference between AFP and regular Peptizyde is that AFP is formulated for people who are sensitive to phenols. The AFP enzymes arent derived from fruits....thats all....I would recommend either one. Yeah....you can still try it for soy. You can try it for the cheese too...

    Was this one of the ones that you got after some of your amalgams were removed?? I dont think I would worry too much...at least it wasnt one of the mercury fillings. By the way....how are you feeling now? Are you gonna be continuing with the removals at some point? Did Dr. M. ever say anything about that?
