  1. Interesting, I haven't had jaw pain since being gluten-free.
  2. 6 to 12 weeks generally recommended, though advice varies. If you want to test and can find a way to afford it, if you went straight back on gluten now , stay on until testing is done, and get tested as soon as possible, just 3 days gluten-free should be ok.
  3. As you are celiac you cannot go back to eating gluten, this is your diet for life now. This is especially important if you wish to carry a successful pregnancy. My hormones have definitely changed, I started my period today and have no pain, bloating, pls. Last 2 months were monstrous. Give it a bit more time. The suggestion to check you are not already...
  4. One other point is that if you do decide you want a diagnosis, you need to be eating gluten for the blood tests and biopsy. It can be mighty hard to go back on for testing once your body has had a go at being gluten free. I think my line is to get tested if you can,for the reasons kareng mentions, but whatever the results try gluten-free. Good luck and...
  5. Rest and plain foods, once you get that far. And go easy on yourself. Good luck
  6. Happy anniversary ski . Tough journey, but way better than the $#!% that came before I am guessing... Mr Mindwarp is cooking up surprise in the kitchen and I RAN on the beach with my son this afternoon. Second successful white potato at lunch today, and I had a few blueberries last 3 days. Some days rock
  7. Going gluten-free has messed with my periods. Initially I stopped period pain, then when I went paleoish got worse pain than ever. I assume you are intolerant rather than celiac if you are even thinking of eating gluten. Maybe give it a bit longer on the diet. Are there any other ways you have changed your eating? For example I found I was eating lots of...
  8. Hope things improve for you with the treatment. When things are really rough, I try and watch my favorite comedies. My Name is Earl was my friend Thinking of you x
  9. I precook several sweet potatoes at once, then chop one up info fork sized pieces, and throw in.some other veg or salad, and some protein. Egg would work, or legumes etc. I find this really filling. A bit of good oil/fat helps with fullness too, olive, avocado or coconut oil are my favourite
  10. Woohoo, I am not a zombie this morning, white potatoes are back in Mind you, withover 50lbs still to lose, not too often. I have worked out that I need more carbs in the few days before my period, so that will make it a bit easier. Yes Addy, everything is appreciated more. I am thankful I can now wallk regularly, and have the energy to play with...
  11. I am so so sorry for your loss. I had early miscarriages, and 2 healthy kids. I did a lot of research, and miscarriage is much.more common than people think. It may or may not be related to the celiac, but it is extremely unlikely you could have done anything differently. Once diagnosed and on the gluten-free diet pregnancy outcomes are virtually the...
  12. I end up in bed for a day or two, then early nights for about a week. In between glutening, I am doing way better. I have started doing some voluntary work to 'test' whether and how I can get back to work. It is helping my confidence to find out what I can do. Baby steps though. It is a hard balance. I try to rest when I need to, and make an effort to be...
  13. Bartfull, sorry things are so bad. You know this will pass, but it stinks for now. We all know how strong you are . Do what you can, look after yourself and don't forget to ask for help. I seem to remember you found a number of knights in shining armour last time there was a rough patch. Is it possible you got a bug too? There seem to be some prize ones...
  14. Legumetastic news there ski! I had roast chicken, cauliflower, broccoli, carrots, mangetout and ...my 1st white potato this year! That was 2 hours ago, so we''ll see if I am a zombie tomorrow. It was baked and crispy and soft and fluffy. Gaining things back really makes you appreciate the simple things.
  15. CONGRATULATIONS Take it easy on yourself, wishing you a happy and successful pregnancy
  16. :)Healthy and happy is good
  17. FINALLY going on a whole foods diet, once I realized I had other food intolerances. I feel way better. I danced for an hour and a half recently, where I struggled to do 10 minutes last summer. General reduction in inflammation, plantar fasciitis gone, hand an neck pain drastically reduced.
  18. Yep, I am meat fish, eggs veg, all unprocessed, tiny bit of fruit, seeds, nuts and rice. Suiting me well so far. I started 2 January and feel way better.
  19. IH, that sounds sooooo good Turkey breast steak wrapped in prosciutto, with an egg, carrots and broccoli. Looking forward to the weekend, have a good one everyone
  20. Hiya I am in the UK too I have been on whole foods since January too, and on an elimination diet. Just popped by to mention Doves Farm brown rice pasta. I have just managed to reintroduce it, yeah! I couldn't handle any of the pasta with corn/maize. Apologies if I missed a bit where you said you can't have rice... BTW, I managed to get a non celiac...

  22. No tattoos here ( I fear my tastes are too shallow to stick with something for life). Yours is lovely. Has it helped? Just nosy
  23. Woo happy anniversary Have a wonderful evening x
  24. We had to trade our van last year too, so I was double proud I did it ok on my first trip where I couldn't just throw everything in!! I don't miss the repair bill, but it was kinda cool just throwing the stroller in the back without even folding :-):-) Still contemplating dinner, but survived rice pasta yesterday fine. Lost 20lbs since 2 Jan and feeling...
