  1. There could be many reasons to pass blood in the stool. I would discuss this with you doctor. I don't think that it would have anything to do with going gluten free.
  2. Morning Donna, It does seem logical that pickles and the juice would not be something that would contain gluten. Pickles may have been suspect in the past because of the distilled vinegar. We now know that the distilling process removes what gluten may have existed. (disclaimer, some sensitive celiacs may react to vinegars and alcohol). Modified...
  3. Yeah, well....they made me do it. They wouldn't give me any of that pizza unless I took a photo with them. I had editing rights with Tom, but Chris slipped one by me.
  4. Chris, Just got back to the computer. Not to worry about your garlic bread and redbridge. Why don't you treat NEXT time Whoa...I can taste that four cheese pizza, just looking at it. It took the prize.
  5. That was interesting. They refer to AT-1001 as a "Treatment" for Celiac.
  6. Have a wonderful time Alex and Ryan. Ya got it covered babe!
  7. Welcome Jewelie: You have found yourself in a great place to learn everything you need to learn. If you had a positive blood test for Celiac - you have a conformation of a diagnosis. A follow-up endoscopy could indicate the level of damage to your small intestin and look for some other issues such as a hernia or gastritis. But you have a confirmation...
  8. Prilosec OTC is indeed gluten free. Hope you feel better
  9. Happy birthday to 2kids4me, Crusier Bob, SunnyDyRain and all the others celebrating their birthday today. Have a wonderful day!
  10. Some of those products are advertised here to help support this forum. Lists such as these were a great help for me in the beginning when label reading was a daunting task. I would recommend it once. After getting the hang of label reading, lists are no longer necessary.
  11. I use Lubriderm and many Vaseline hand care creams are gluten free. The best and simplest is plain ol' petroleum jelly.

    Great article!
  13. What a treat for me!!! Getting to meet mouse, chris and tom was really cool. Lunch was to die for. Four gluten free pizzas were served that the three of us almost devoured. (what a good sport Tom was as he abstained - a will of steel) As always in life, it was too short. But our visit was long enough to be reminded, what wonderful people there are...
  14. Got it, see ya. Call me on my cell if anything changes. EXCITED. We need to make sure that Tom knows.
  15. GOOD QUESTION!!! I thought it is the one on the corner of Scottsdale and Frank Lloyd Wright. Chris, the one I have listed is NORTH Scottsdale 7325 Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd. (on SouthWest corner of FLW Blvd and Scottsdale Road) 990-2212 .........If other, please let me know
  16. Karen, It is sooo great to hear from you. We sure do miss you. It sounds like you finally have a doctor who knows that he/she is doing. I know that you have been waiting for some answers for a long long time. I am going to look up Addisson's. But, I wanted to let you know that I think about you often and need you to get back into the swing...
  17. I am so excited. I am going to meet Mouse and Bronkobux for wonderful gluten free pizza. Thank you for all the great recommendations. I can't wait. (except for the 110degree temp).
  18. First, welcome to the forum. You have found yourself a wonderful place to be. Eight months of a true gluten free diet could certainly be time to heal any markers that would indicate Celiac Disease with and endoscopy as well as a blood panel. Perhaps at this point, you might want to pursue other avenues of testing.
  19. It has been over two years for me since my diagnosis. I have a full blood work-up to check to see if all is well, about once a year. Other than that no GI follow-up and don't feel one is necessary for me. But, I am a lot more knowledgeable than I was two years ago and I know what to watch for.
  20. I believe the statement in question was regarding Enterolabs DIAGNOSING for Celiac Disease. It is my understanding, as I have stated in the past, that Enterolabs does not and cannot diagnose for Celiac Disease. They can, however, test for sensitivities to certain foods. If I am incorrect, please feel free to correct me. If I am wrong, I will sincerely...
  21. Happy Birthday Jillian. You've come a long way babe!
  22. We are calling Tropical Storm Gabrielle "Gabby" because she was all talk and no action! We are mid way into hurricane season, but the most active. Thanks to all my friends and your good thoughts.
  23. maybe so,
  24. Ali, There are three ways to test/diagnose for Celiac Disease. 1. Blood Test 2. Endoscopy for a Biopsy 3. Positive Dietary Response. If you are refering to Enterolabs stool testing, yes they can test for gluten sensitivity and other sensitivities, but they cannot and do not claim to diagnose Celiac Disease.
  25. Of testing what?
