  2. Angie: This is a poem that I keep on my mirror in my bathroom and read it every day and I thought you might enjoy it: I look at them and see two sisters connected by more than blood and shared existence. Two sisters who will draw strength and encouragement for each other as they move through life. I look at them and see two sisters, two...

  4. UPDATE: The eye should cross over us sometime early evening with about 30mph winds. Maybe Gabby will dump my neighbors new lawn furniture into my back yard.
  5. It's nice to know someone is thinking about you!!! Currently, the wind is blowing about 20mph and no rain yet. The Tropical Depression is suppose to come ashore at Hatteras, continue to Nags Head and then turn east off shore. Early evening we should get some action, although slight. We are about 50 nautical miles inland and don't really expect much...
  6. Coming from Peanut Country....... Peanut Oil does not have a long shelf life and it will go rancid fairly quickly. If you bought organic peanut butter, it may not have any preservatives in it and, thus, it is recommended that it be refrigerated. I always refrigerate my opened jars of peanut butter.
  7. Hi Lilbby: You have some great suggestions already. I usually keep some cooked (with HerbOx chicken bouillon) brown rice in my refridge and its great to have with an egg in the morning. Sliced carrots dipped in peanut butter is a great snack. Lately, I have been on a kick with rice crackers and Kraft singles and Yoplait Yogurt. On the weekend...
  8. Bobbi: If the chicken broth is listed as an ingredient and it does not list wheat, the broth is safe. If wheat is used as an ingredient, by law it is required to be listed. IF wheat IS used in the chicken broth, then no, the chicken should not be eaten. Just look for wheat as an ingredient. Not all chicken broth contains wheat. Swanson's chicken...

  16. Oooop.....I guess I am so used to answering questions about modified FOOD starch. I stand corrected.
  17. Yes, I have eaten there many times. I believe you can get their gluten free menu on line at www.panera.com. If you can't find it, let me know. They will also let you look at their ingredients book. I have found them very nice to deal with.

  20. Angie, Are ya still with us? How are things going?
  21. Jillilan, I have always thought that Yoplait was gluten free, except for the cookies/granola ones. I love the whips.
  22. Open Original Shared Link Taco Bell has the least amount of gluten free foods that I know of, let alone the cross contamination risks. Rice, Pinto Beans, and a Tostado are the only items that are gluten free. Please be cautious with TB. EDIT: There is a very small section at the bottom of their site for the gluten sensitive. It is very difficult...
  23. Ohooo....the thought of that just gave me shivers!! I can invision flour all over the kitchen, much less in my gluten free pans and utensils....and a week on the sofa.
