  1. Thank God this thread has turned it's page! Lynne: As a true Southerner, I think you need to educate people about the difference between a Red-neck and a Good O'l Boy.
  2. If I recall correctly, Maries Blue Cheese Dressing is gluten-free, and perhaps Newman's. But I would wait for other conformation.
  3. Karen: The cool thing about our accents is that it is dirived by a cross between "old-english" and early American. I am not a native here, but I have picked up some, after being her for almost 30 years. And, it is very much like the Canadian Maritimers. As in "hoi-toid" (high tide). It still lives on the outer reaches of the outer banks. On the...
  4. Hummmm, good thought for the first night of the road trip. DC is only 5hrs away. If so, I will PM with contact info. Looks like lots of options. Thanks , Lisa
  5. You go Chris!!!!!!! Lynne, Patti, Judy and that nut case in the northland, what wonderful shoulders you all have. xxoo - L
  6. Hidden Gluten----- Let me try and I am sure others will post. When you buy shampoo, have you ever read the ingredences (they don't even sound like english), but many of those strange words do contain gluten. That is why it is always good to call the company. Write down the 1-800 number and call when you get home from the store, if you want to buy...
  7. Maybe you all can make sense of this, thyroid: Free T4 - 0.85 (range 0.70 - 1.53) TSH (high Sensitive test) - 0.89 (range0.49 - 4.87) ......sounds low to me?? Dr. had no concerns about this. So what do you all think. L To clarify, I may have confused people. Five years of loosing unexplained weight (size 12 pants to...
  8. Yup, and I'm the dumb **** that puts it out there for 10,000 people to see. BUT, I know that I'm not the only one in my boat.
  9. Nope, not me. I have NEVER seen you post to someone that was not positive or supportive. Your our "feel good Friend", because you always make us feel better. I know alot of people on this board struggle with many personal issues, and still they take time to help others. Now that's the amazing aspect of being a member here.
  10. Judy. I think that you are sooo right. Sometimes I have to walk away from the board, because it can be so very consuming. We all deal with it in everyday life, then sit on the computer for hour and take in more. Although the ones who have been here for over a year, have learned to read lables and life does become easier. I do try to be there...
  11. OK: Current symptoms: Arm tremors, hair loss, fatigue, lack of concentration, memory issues, brusing, no interest in food. Most everything was below the average, WBC, Platelets,Folic, B-12. He said that the blood panel was not normal for a 51 year old, but he doesn't know where to go with it. Pushed Lexipro, as if the fatigue is depression, gheshhhhh...
  12. We always love it up there after the nasty hot summers here. Lynne, going to the Dr.'s office now for him the interpret my blood work. Let ya know later. With me luck.
  13. LaChoy is gluten free.
  14. We feel it's time to bug out of here and take a road trip. We want to leave home and slowly take the scenic route up to Maine. Any suggestions for stops along the way? Thanks Lisa
  15. I'm 5'8" and shrinking
  16. Yup, wrong room
  17. It would be a good week-end away. What a wonderful thought. Where would a good place to meet for dinner and drinks. I did grow up literally across the street from Ann S. Moore, who is Time/Warner CEO. We played wiffleball in her driveway. That was the place to be. When I could not have soft drinks in my home, I went to Mrs. S's house and got a good...
  18. Ok Carla, give it up.....six kids and you look so beautiful. What's the deal here? Combined family, is my guess, cause you can't look that beautiful and sexy with six children. Your picture is gorgeous
  19. ???, but I think that I'm in the wrong room here.
  20. OHHH, I'm thinking SPCA. Towns have ordinances and often you may have one dog or two. Lynne, look into what your town requires regarding pets. There are limits. They may very well be in violation of the town ordinances. Check it out. Or build a very big fence. Fences make good neighbors.
  21. Ahhhhhh, you guys are making me home sick. I grew up in McLean and went to McLean High in the dark ages. Hung out at McDonalds, much to the distress of my father. Believe it or not, I used to ride horses where Tyson's 1 is now. Later I worked at "Susies Casuals", when home from college. It is all a very strange place for me now, but a good place...
  22. Vickie: Yes sometimes it does get a little testy here, but it always has a way to leveling itself out. Don't let a few disswade you from the 99.9% good done here. Lisa
  23. Welcome And I am certainly glad that you feel comfortable to post here. We all want this forum to be a friendly and welcoming as possible. Remember, we all were where you are now and can recall the "lost" feelings. As many of us have said previously, I personally feel the need to "pay if forward" as Karen has said. Many have become very good...
  24. That is sooo cool. Duh, I thought that soy sauce could only be bought in the store. Man, a new wrinkle in my brain. (when you learn something new, you get a new wrinkle in your brain, as my children have always told me.)
  25. I believe that "Ocean Girl" is also from Maine. Gosh, I wish I was.
