  1. Susan: I just wanted to add that good advise was given. So it you choose, to go gluten free without testing, it can be a very complicated issue. Gluten is everywhere. If you do chose to go that route, please check back in with us for the basic start up product brands that will insure that you are totally gluten free. If you choose to be tested by...
  2. I eat M&M's by color only........start with brown and whatever suits me, other colors get devoured. I have a bowl full of greens left.
  3. It took a long time to create the damage to the small intestines and it will take so time to heal. Please tell your dad that it may take some time for the symptoms to subside. In addition, check his shampoo, face soap, face lotion or anything that can be ingensted into his mouth. Gluten is in almost every thing from soy sauce to dried fruit. If...
  4. Yes, but not flavored. (flavored Gin, does it exist?) Any distilled beverage should be ok. Enjoy.
  5. It is just a mind game. You eat poorly you get sick you eat safely, you don't......it's just too simple. I just can't handle something messing with my mind. Which it has, by the way, and I will tollerate any more. For all the newbies out there...this is so way beyond bread and pizza....it is about saving your life giving organs, your BRAIN and so...
  6. I am not sure where you are going here and for what reason. But that is not for me to know. Celac Disease carries it's own risk and danger for further development, unchecked/undiscovered. It can be totally controlled by diet, although damage may have already been done by oversite of the disease. Obesity, is well know for the risks.
  7. Welcome Back, evie
  8. Well, yes, I do... When you start to feel "normal" again and you're not running to the bathroom, Yes. I can handle the D issue, because that is a defined clue, but it's the brain fog and fatigue and malaize that I just can't handle. And that is what keeps me diligent. But most importantly, it is my friends here on this site that keep me safe from myself...
  9. Elizabeth: It is very normal to have many ups and down. It took a long time for your body to react to that damage, as well it will take time to heal. In the beginning it is almost impossible to go cold turkey from Gluten and be informed about all the things you need to avoid. It takes time to educate yourself. Gluten is everywhere. It also takes...
  10. Evie: Some times we do get "possers" (posing as others), but there are some old schoolers here that can nail them is short time. Perhaps the one that offended you, it not longer on this site for obvious reasons. If anyone respondes to you in an inappropriate way, please go to "Report" and it will be dealth with. I have changed my user name, but I...
  11. Lobster, lobster and more lobster.
  12. Wine is generally fine although it contains sulfates, which may cause sensitivity in some.
  13. I'll cool....... just had to write it down to get rid of it...........it's all gone. Thanks for listening to me scream out , but fit is over. proceed on.... going to bed to sleep off residual emotional effects, good night.
  14. Continue on my friends.
  15. Sorry to interrup the ice cream thread........but I am bustin here. Can I yell and scream in Rachelville and no one will hear, but listen. I think that I should resign my post as Senator as todays, politics did me in. Ever feel "Nobody loves me, everyone hates me...I think I'll go eat worms". Bad day at the Preservation Meeting. We got sold...
  16. I also perspire while eating, not at every meal but many. Thanks for the infor. Lisa
  17. Rach: It was too cool, but sad. We were very close to Hilton Head, SC. The development is unbelieveable, the little armidillo (I don't know how to spell it), was about the size of a very large cat and was in the parking lot and there was alot of new ground breaking around his original habitat. I never thought that they would be indiginous to South...
  18. This is a post-mature and a pre-mature post.............so here it is: Glad to start off with Racheville - went to a wedding at Hilton Head this weekend. Ohhh, love the trees. Saw my first allagator is the wild, black squirrel, and an ARMADILLO (sp) whoa. Wizzzed through the posts as got in late and needed to check in. As Senator, I am sitting...
  19. Rusla: Welcome back!! . I owe you one and the gods of nature.....well done and thanks. We had BEAUTIFUL day for Annie's wedding. Thank you. It does seem to me that the longer that I go gluten free, the most distinct I can feel the reation to being glutened. It is now very clear, now that there has been some healing. New avitar, (thank...
  20. Pre-post, I'm sure. I just can't keep up with you all. Whew! Andrea, for someone who tries to keep up, could you add the defininations (< guess one here ) Got the spinach one down and use it frequently.
  21. I think that Leah is correct. There is must debate. Although, and not the pro on this, but the gluten is either too large or too small to be absorbed through the skin. The main concern here, is that it is all over the fingers which is so easy to get into your mouth... brushing your hair away from you face, etc.
  22. It's those crazy Canadians.
  23. Way too premature post, but with my new sweet goose picture and my new name. Perhaps, along with my duties as Senator (which is sit on my butt all day, no bribes today) Should I not be on the goose patrol. AFLAC I love that darn goose.
  24. I tried to do a search. Don't like to new option. I think I got zapped at a restaurant. Lisa
