For Nut Thins - Open Original Shared Link All I could find on line - Open Original Shared Link I know I have heard of several sensitive members who eat almonds. Hopefully, they will check in.

  4. Skippy is owned by Unilever, and they will label all forms of gluten on their labels. If you don't seen wheat, barley or rye, it contains no gluten.
  5. I wouldcall the manager and politely discuss your mix-up. Educate him/her and encourage him/her to do a staff follow-up and a re-education. I don't feel comfortable when people raise hell and threaten to sue. That draws facilities to withdraw their effort to serve those of us with food intolerance's. I have found a soft hand and a bit of education...

    ARCHIVED Family

My kids are grown, so it's just me and the old man. I cook totally gluten free and he's quiet happy with that. He does enjoy his bread, cheese and wine before dinner for his "chill-time". And when we dine out, he goes for the "real" pasta first. Can't blame the poor guy. I substitute pasta, bread (for croutons and bread crumbs - don't like sandwiches...
  7. Mine was booted long ago. (Me too Sylvia). I got back into this thread to find the link.
  8. Here are a few in the metro area: Open Original Shared Link Most large cities, I have found are pretty well versed in serving gluten free. Have fun...it's a great city. And the subway/metro can get you to anywhere you may want to go. Museum of Natural History and the National Zoo are a must. And take the metro to Dullas Airport to see the newly...
  9. Yup, and so did all the neighborhood kids.
  10. But, please do not go gluten free until all your testing has been exhausted (regarding Celiac). It will mess up the results.

  12. If your intent was to be tested for Celiac Disease, this is the test to order from your Primary Care Doctor or Specialist. The following are the celiac specific blood tests: Anti-Gliadin (AGA) IgA Anti-Gliadin (AGA) IgG Anti-Endomysial (EMA) IgA Anti-Tissue Transglutaminase (tTG) IgA Deamidated Gliadin Peptide (DGP) IgA and IgG Total Serum IgA
  13. This thread is six years old and may no longer be accurate. Carmel color is not a concern for people with Celiac Disease.
  14. Happy Mother's Day, and especially to the Mother's who deal with children with Celiac Disease. Cheers to you! And I hope your day is a GREAT celebration!
  15. Shrimp, onion, okra and tomato combined would be great over grits. I must try.
  16. Holy Moly G.F. ! You are certainly dating yourself.
  17. Yes, agreed . "Not validated" is a better and more accurate choice of words. Thank you for calling that to my attention.
  18. Not for us, but it has in fact become a bit trendy. BUT, if it created more products available for us or more legitimate awareness....bring it ON! Although, Domino's Pizza got it very wrong! Bet, they will withdrawal their gluten free pizza campaign and product real fast.
  19. Kelly, I agree! But there is a small pocket of people who will benefit, as your family. For those with a limited gluten sensitivity, this is good news. I mention this in my first post here. And it will get the fad-gluten-free-dieters. I think it's the marketing ploy that is disturbing most of us, as mushroom indicated.
  20. So glad you are finding relief. Dr. Peter Green, the foremost research doctor in Celiac Disease has stated that there has not yet been a test that can measure for gluten sensitivity. Enterolabs and Dr. Fine have profited millions of dollars from testing, that his peers and experts in the field, consider invalid. Of course, this is my opinion. I...
  21. I'm glad that you feel you have found your answer. What's most important is that you go on the diet and find relief. And this is the best source of information around. EndoLabs do not/can not test for Celiac Disease. And they claim that they can test for sensitives. Okay, well... you can guess that I'm not a big fan. But many people here are. Your...
  22. Here is me: (don't know how to photo) Lisa Alice, I fear this is a very bad partnership. Perhaps a name change is in order to - National Foundation for Gluten Sensitivily Awareness. I feed kind of sold out here! 2 minutes ago · Like · 2 And on Dominio's: If the gluten free pizza is not suitable for those of us with Celiac Disease, then w...
