  5. I love my fruits and veggies I have them fresh everyday, but I didn't stop having problems with D and C until I had a good balance of both fresh fruits and veggies and proteins like beans and nuts. Everyone on here has different food sensitives so its hard to give the best advise I feel great when I eat lots of beans and potatoes and some can't have beans...
  6. I made amazing black bean Burgers for dinner tonight, wish my boys felt the same way! Have any kid friendly dinner ideas? It's just the three of us and I've done the three different meals a night thing and I refuse to keep that up! I'm vegan but will sparingly use precooked grill chicken strips for the boys and some fish. They also still have some dairy mostly...
  7. Think it would work with egg replacer?
  8. CC stands for cross contamination.
  9. It takes awhile for the antibodies to die off from consuming gluten. Every time I'm glutened or get CC it's like mini replay of before starting on my GFD. I am a vegan and I have some issues with soy and onions that I now know for sure and I'm allergic to Cinnamon. So there is alot that I can't eat, everything is made from scratch I spend hours in the kitchen...

  11. So you are allergic to cinnamon too? When did it develop?
  12. Most of us have more food allergies than just wheat, barley, and rye but I feel like one of my allergies is kind of strange and I haven't met anyone outside of my family that has it. I'm allergic to cinnamon, have been since I was 20. I never had a problem with it when I was younger and made a lot of desserts with it because it helps keep away illness. Is...
  13. I got down to 110lbs before GFD, and stayed there for weeks into starting GFD. I was concerned because I didn't want to lose any more weight, weight is a problem with the women in my family my mother weights 90-95lbs. I don't want to be that small I don't feel healthy, my youngest son told me he doesn't like when I'm skinny mommies are supposed to be squishy...
  14. I don't live in Utah but our store brands here carry corn and rice chex. If I were in your shoes I would talk to management at the store in which I'm shopping, show them my wic approved list and allow then to show me what is availed gluten-free.
  15. I too can remember getting so sick that I felt like dying might not be so bad compared, that's just how bad it gets plus the mental and emotional effects gluten has. Thank God we know better know!!! There is a light at the end of the tunnel just hang in there!
  16. Everybody does react differently and if you don't get sick while eating gluten-free sound like a the best reason to stay on a GFD. No two Celiacs are the same, we all have different reactions and different diets and food sensitivities and allergies. I had chronic D before, I kept myself from vomiting as much as possible, your case sounds extreme but I don...
  17. The only thing I can come up with is that maybe you didn't get those immediate reactions but it could still be damaging your body. I know that if I eat gluten pizza or wheat thins ill be down for a week, I'm sorry I can't be more help with this. Did you have red sauce in the spaghetti leftovers? Maybe it's tomato some others do have issues with nightshades...

  19. I've heard that cutting them in half and taking one in the am and one in the pm helps absorbtion
  20. I had what was like the stomach bug on steroids before I went gluten free, it was horrible! Have you had any tests done? How where you feeling before all the vomiting? What other symptoms do you have?
  21. Agreed, we need to be teaching our children how to be considerate of others no matter the differences in diet, color, size, personality, ect
  22. I'm glad you shared this, I too tried to sign. My son is just getting used to how to handle questions at school from his classmates about why he can't have certain foods or why he cant join in and enjoy these awesome cupcakes they brought in. He has been taking all of this very well but he is just a little self conscience, he watches this show at his fathers...
  23. Oh and I run a fever when I'm glutened and will be sick for a week sometimes longer...
  24. Sounds like you have a lot of healing to do, the longer you go without gluten the better you'll feel, getting CC is a set back. You might try cutting out eggs as well a lot of us have other food allergies egg being a common food allergy it's worth a try. I have read others having trouble with meat, lentils, nuts, dairy, nightshades, soy, etc. you have to...
