  1. Mmm sounds good.Unfortunately I need to be sure I don't have a salicylate issue before I ingest something high like honey.
  2. Stopped using the make up right away but keep getting hives and swellings until a few days ago. Not sure what that means. I was hoping there was a blood test to check since sals can give hives too. So frustrating. She said she could do a skin prick but I'm guessing that if I want to know which ingredient it is I should find each oil ingredient on their own...
  3. Tinkyada for us. Only thing I can tolerate right now anyhow but never did enjoy corn pastas. Just rice noodles.
  4. Honestly I'm just as confused in my situation cept it's allergies or sals. I too don't want to be on such restricted diet unless need be. Eating the same thing over and over is making me more sick.
  5. I may have a salicylic acid problem but it might be an allergy. I wanted my allergist to test me for allergy to the ingredients (they were all natural like chamomile, castor oil and Shea butter) but she said absolutely none were on her system to check on my blood test. I know many ppl who say they have allergies to such things. I don't know how I'm suppose...
  6. I have been eating the same foods now for quite a while. It's starting to make me feel sick. I have split yellow peas from gold mine natural foods. Their page says gluten free but I never had a chance before the weekend to call. I ordered off amazon and couldn't find their site or number at first. I got the package Friday and went to their website but wanted...
  7. Oh so much confusion. Hate the waiting game. Guess I'll find out Tuesday.
  8. She had let the Secretary tell me over the phone. She's not in until tuesday to talk more in depth bout it.
  9. thanks. do you have milk allergy? we have no idea if we have to replace our cookware and what not like with gluten or casein intolerance. my allergy is to a milk protein so it seems like it would?
  10. I don't really know if this is the right section for this...I'll let the moderators decide ultimately. I've been wicked sick since xmas. Seems to be salicylates but i decided an allergist was the best course of action after developing hives and patches of swelling in my hands and feet. It looks like there isn't that much listed that she tested me for but...
  11. I am going by multiple peoples experiences. I can try it in the future but while I'm experimenting with basic foods I would prefer to not risk it. I don't know why others have had issues. But i just need a basic cooking oil that is dairy free for a while before I try something that, for whatever reason I don't understand, has caused issues for some. By all...
  12. I'm in a experimental phase and I know some people have issues with distilled beverages so I'm avoiding it. However, I would like to ask them if the rye comes near the equipment used for the oils.
  13. If you type gluten into their search function it mentions distilled rye being used in the mayo. That is what i was referencing.
  14. Yeah I'm not sure what to think. I personally stay away from distilled alcohol as well and they do mention rye in relation to the mayo. Might have to contact them.
  15. Here's the thread https://www.celiac.com/forums/topic/72354-gluten-free-oils/
  16. I just read a lot of topics where people said they had issues with spectrum. It may have been the same threads talking about the wheat germ oil but I'd have to go back and try to find it and it was a while ago now.
  17. You can order off their website.
  18. Faerie's Finest has also said they have no gluten in their facility.
  19. Does anyone here know of a good, safe, sunflower oil? I don't trust certain brands that are manufactured on equipment with wheat germ oil but I'm on a VERY limited diet and need to have an oil I can use since I can't have butter. Anyone have a brand that's confirmed gluten free and free of cross contamination?
  20. The dried beans and canned beans are on separate lines. Possibly even separate facilities I can't remember for sure.
  21. Ugh...the things we all put up with How horrible. So you've had itchy stuff from things you weren't allergic to? How strange. What do you think causes that kind of thing? My knuckle was a little swollen as well I dunno if that happens to you?
  22. When you get hives...do they usually show up in the same area? For some reason they seem to love my knees and elbows. Just curious. Unless, of course, it's not hives at all. Either way inquiring minds want to know.
  23. Dairy. Even the butter hates me. Possibly salicylates. Possibly nightshades, though potato doesn't SEEM to bother me.
  24. Use these all the time. If i remember right, as long as you get the blue labelled cans they are suppose to be gluten free. That includes the low sodium versions.
  25. Curious if anyone knows the answer to this. Can you react with an intolerance to food smells? I've recently begun getting hives. I know I possibly had a reaction to rosemary. I got itchy on my left hand and it was swollen just a little bit. I'm about to get allergy testing but is it necessarily an allergy? Can intolerance cause histamine type responses? Also...
