  1. Or you know...maybe just cut down how many beans I eat lol
  2. Haven't had beans in days now and feel better...So I'm unsure. Could have been just too much fiber I guess. It's hard to say. Right now I'm eating salmon...sweet potato and carrot. I'm eating moderate to low salicylate food. Perhaps I will test out low lectin moderate to low sal while trying to get variety and then add something high lectin and see what happens...
  3. I'm pretty sure I have loooow magnesium and it gets worse near my period and I lose my appetite and gag on everything I eat. Bowels are loose but all I'm eating is salmon, sweet potato and raw carrots last couple days. The right amount of magnesium shouldn't cause you to be runny. If it does lower the dose until you find a level that keeps you regular. I...
  4. I've seen conflicting views on this. Some sites I saw claim they lower inflammation and some say they make it worse.
  5. I just wanted to say...just because antibodies go down doesn't mean the hashimotos is gone. It's an autoimmune disease like celiac. It doesn't disappear but it means you've slowed down the antibody attack.
  6. I've considered going to a gastroenterologist. They are most knowledgeable about celiac and gluten issues right? I did a stool test with my family doctor to check for parasites and am supposedly clear. But was wondering what sort of things a gastro could help with besides endoscopy, colonoscopy and upper gi tests. Do they also do stool tests? Do they check...
  7. Yes I have heard of it. Sometimes the gut just needs a break and after a few years people get things back. Do you take probiotics? They're suppose to help as well. I'm going to try taking some soon myself. Never have had any before and wasn't a yogurt fan. We'll see how it goes.
  8. Various posts I've seen for a while have implicated that leaky gut can cause allergies. Can that really happen or is everyone just accidentally referring to intolerance as allergies? Can leaky gut actually lead to an ige reaction?Curious as I have allergies I never use to.
  9. Curious..I thought tomato paste was dehydrated tomato or something...does it have gluten?
  10. I think I was last summer after two and a half months on the diet. My stool came out thin looking like a worm (it wasn't I was just tested)..and a ton of whitish mucus. It was very gross and I felt really woozy.
  11. I'm considering buying probiotics and I was wondering how many of you were gluten free for quite a while but found you just kept getting sick? I'm wondering if people have found they had other intolerance that got better after taking probiotics? I know they are suppose to help the gut heal. Curious if intolerances aside from gluten were then a non issue....
  12. I do have an allergy.
  13. I will say this....I thought I was gluten free completely the first two months. Heh.....Heh no. I was MOSTLY gluten free. But can only see it in hindsight now.
  14. I saw a topic or two from 2011 where people felt glutened or untrusting of shiloh farms flours? Well I just ordered split yellow peas from them the other day. They are now certified by the GiG. They partnered with someone to have a separate gluten free facility now. So they should be safe. I was fine. No glutening.
  15. Thanks everyone. My hubby looked online after and found out cookware that reaches....I think 250F is definitely okay because it changes the protein? Either way I'm not too concerned. Was very sick all week so I'll get in touch with my allergist next week hopefully. She was suppose to call me but never did.
  16. Definitely been looking into probiotics.
  17. That's what I've always heard...that they move. Mine stay in the same spot for a few hours then poof. The swelling I get on the bottom of my feet and in my fingers sometimes moves about three hours later but...again,always to the same spot.
  18. Either way...seems my replies are misconstrued....just because I ask a question in reply to something..or whatever...doesn't mean I'm dismissing anyone. Anyhow..yes, salmon today. Mouth watering. Didn't take choking down but only eating bits at a time as I've been sick all week. I really don't know why people think I'm dismissing...I've agreed many times...
  19. Yes thank you. Had some salmon today. Just hoping the veggies I'm adding don't send me into hives and swelling. Time will tell.
  20. I would really like someone to tell me when I've dismissed any info? I have agreed many times but see my above reply to Karen. I've been choking down food. It's not about the doctors advice. In fact I managed salmon today.
  21. Playing with you? I went gluten free last year and other problems started after that. Sorry I was under the impression it was a support forum. I ended up on such a limited diet because my appetite went awry. Believe me I want to eat everything out there. I'm not doing it because of the doctors suggestions I think he's nuts to suggest that. I haven't had...
  22. Wow. I know I have anxiety but you're making a few assumptions here. NO I've never had an eating disorder. I had hives and I was eating veggies I loved. The doctor isn't ok with meat that much thanks. Know how I know? Because though previous blood tests were healthy he told me to go on a practically vegetarian diet. I said to him myself that if I did that...
  23. I agree. My husband has glucose show up on home urine tests sometimes but I never have. I ordered omaha steaks last night. Also had sweet potato for the first time in nine months today. Also had carrot and parsnip. My allergist I have no idea what's going on there. Family doctor overbooked and is now unavailable till after fourth of July.
  24. i agree. my allergist left me hanging all on my own...family doctor is overbooked. very frustrating. i agree about google but find my faith in simply trusting doctors after i was told i may be hypothyroid. I then read the tsh only nonsense and most of the useful info i found was google. the doctor was clueless. originally he didnt even test my free t 4 let...
  25. i thought anion gap involved ph because i read that it represents the gap between acid and base.Though diabetes is something fear because three out of four of my grandparents have it. I'm more so worried about cancers because my lymphocytes are so low and monocytes high. But i am trying very hard to keep your advice in mind about the doctor.
