  1. Mine is on the crack. Aaaaannnnndddd that's what got biopsied. Yes I was a bit embarrassed. And not the most comfortable place for a biopsy I might add.
  2. Well as expected biopsy was negative. I've been gluten free since July. But seeing that I already have celiac and the derm and my GI both said it is DH I'm going with that. They both said visually it is DH just can't officially diagnose it as that because of the biopsy. I asked what else it could be and he just said it appears to be the celiac rash
  3. oh gosh abby that looks painful. mine is only a few spots here and there.
  4. My husband's company is changing insurance in January so no more Kaiser. I am going to get all new labs run with a new Dr. I'm sure they will be up by then but it will at least be another set of eyes looking at my labs.
  5. I suggested a "celiac myth sticky" a while back but the consensus was that people will argue with the facts anyway because of what's on the Internet
  6. that's what mine looks like. I had one on my bottom and that's what was biopsied last week. results aren't back yet but I've been gluten free since July so it could be negative. My derm said visually it does look like DH. I also had a cluster on my thigh and now I'm left with the marks, taking forever to heal.
  7. For moisturizer I like Olay sensitive SPF 15. It is gluten free from my understanding and its gentle. My skin is super sensitive and I have the celiac rash too. I choose to use gluten free products. Dove and Suave will clearly disclose gluten on the label so for lotion/body wash/ shampoo those might be good cheap brands to look at. Burt's bees is mostly...

  9. Last night for dinner I made gluten free penne pasta with cherry tomatoes, garlic, and feta cheese. And artichokes Within two hours my skin started itching like crazy and this morning I have a red rash on my bum and calves. Also an old DH spot that was healed seems to be coming back. This is miserable! Maybe it's just flaring for no apparent reason ugghh

  11. yep nuff said! I always thought I had ezcema and would react to body wash and lotion with a vengence. I could never figure out why I had little water filled blisters on my feet when I looked up ezcema it didn't mention anything about blisters. Now I know what they are. I've now switched to Dove body wash (I was using a body wash with oats in it for years...
  12. I hate the steroids and really try to avoid them, now this gives me another reason to! But in June I was hospitalized for the asthma and pumped full of steroids in my IV and by mouth so it makes sense why this is rearing it's ugly head now. My asthma dr. believes gluten was the major trigger in the asthma so I'm hoping it won't be much of a problem now. I...
  13. Aw ok that makes sense. I get some GI symptoms but not like before diagnosis. But the rash is the very first sign that I got glutened. It usually shoes up within a couple hours. I still get stomach issues but not like debilitating. It's weird because it started showing up just within the last couple months. I was on prednisone for my asthma so I'm thinking...
  14. he did take it from the skin adjacent to the active lesion. I have an active one. He is familiar with DH he said. And he said by looking at it he thought it was DH. I wanted to make sure it wasn't something else, even though I pretty much knew what it was. Why would I get new lesions if I'm not eating gluten? Am I still getting cc'd or can DH still show...

  19. I had my derm appointment yesterday for this rash that I get and it comes and goes. I had one sore on the tail bone and he biopsied it. He said the rash didn't have to be active (the sore has already scabbed over and is healing) My question is though, I was diagnosed celiac in July and have been gluten free since then. With a few accidental glutenings...

  23. It's this one here Open Original Shared Link and the foundation I use Open Original Shared Link I use the fair color and it matches perfectly for the oil you rub in a drop or two on damp skin, google sea buckthorn seed oil and rosacea and you'll get a lot of info!
  24. Oh and I have had great results with natural oils. Emu oil is a really good one, and sea buckthorn oil
  25. I have rosacea too. I've been gluten free since July and have noticed the pustules and papules I would get are gone. My face is clear but still red. The redness on my nose is permanent and can only be removed with laser. But I'm no longer inflamed. I haven't found anything that really works but I use Estée Lauder creme compact makeup which covers it well....
