  1. Hi and welcome! It can take time to feel better and begin to absorb your foods correctly. Do you eat a fairly balanced diet? 10 pounds in 3 days is something that I would definitely ask my doctor about.
  2. I figured that's what happened. I'm sure people won't mind sharing their height. True--I might not be so forthcoming with that!
  3. I'm 5'3"
  4. I had female problems from the age of 13. Heavy, painful periods in my teens, took 5 years to get pregnant with my first child. Lived with the heavy monthly bleeding as long as I could, but along with the undiagnosed Celiac my life was governed by the time of the month and my stomach issues. For a solid week every month, I had to wake up every hour...
  5. :D Isn't that great, Karreighn! I always thought it was the sandwich fillings that didn't agree wif me too. Never, ever suspected the bread
  6. I don't have any facts or figures for you, but from reading on here for the last 5 years or so, I do remember seeing a few people report negative stool testing from Enterolabs.
  7. The Summit melee has made our local news--video of the protesters and everyhing! Hope everything goes smoothly fer Jacquie at the store today.
  8. Yeah--true about the nutheads. Keep yer head down and don't make eye contact whatever you do
  9. What did I miss? Somebody phill me in....
  10. Oye.... PeOter--WIH is going ON up there????
  11. It may not even happen to you--the ensuing event has been known to cross-psillie. You want to be alert, but it could hit any one of us instead.
  12. Don't use xanthan to thicken potato salad. Why do you have to thicken it--is it the hot cooked German type? If so, you could use potato starch, or any flour mixture you have on hand. Even a couple spoonfuls of gluten-free pancake mix would be better than the xanthan.
  13. There's really no way to get around it, Karreighn.
  14. Yes--different reasons for different people. Since going gluten-free, I can really only tolerate blueberries, bananas, and the occasional nectarine or apple. I actually get reactions from citrus, strawberries, and melons.
  15. Poor Miss Shroomie is getting a bad rap here I use a glue stick for envelopes. The experts say there's no reason to be concerned, but I choose to avoid licking them.
  16. I second celiac-mommy's suggestion. I have a KitchenAid that I've had for over 20 years now--I used it for gluten doughs and things for a good 15 of those years and did not want to have to buy a new one since it worked like brand new. I carefully cleaned the machine with warm, soapy water (paying special attention under the top where the attachments lock...
  17. Hi all....huge thunderstorm last night and yea!! I don't have to water the lawn Just made it steamier, though, if that's at all possible. Heard from me son that they're having a heat wave in Jersey--they had better get that out of their system now Rash-elle....could Max be lying so as to avoid perceived consequences? I always told my kids...
  18. Unfortunately, things have changed at Burt's Bees. They used to be very gluten aware and had great customer service. Although pricy, I use Afterglow lip products. All gluten-free and even made in a gluten-free facility. Open Original Shared Link
  19. Shroomie--how scary! I'm really glad yer phollowing up wif a specialist. Let us know.... Kitty only willing to eat when you're there--so sweet
  20. Out of respect to the throne, and all.....
