  1. knick-knacks Been phollowing all yer summer phun banter--been busy today wif photographer ....the new realtor really knows what she wants. It was like a movie set in here. She's all about the right "angles" and "wide shots" and "the right lighting"--a real phirecracker, that one! Jan-it, when I called Johnson and Johnson to make sure about the...
  2. I agree--it's ridiculous. At a holiday party, one of the people there told me that he read that "fasting could cure my condition" Honestly, I don't know what annoyed me more at that particular moment--the erroneous information or the way he said 'your condition'.
  3. I use olive oil for everything. Extra virgin mostly, except for baking and making homemade popcorn--there I use the light.
  4. Ladies, if the subtype is 2,5-- of what, if any, significance is the 5 ? I just find this interesting--already have a diagnosis
  5. I remember being 16, working at my first job and having to call my dad to come and get me after I almost fainted. I wore perfume that day, which I normally didn't do, and managed to stagger to my boss's office before I dropped into the chair. As a kid, things like that would bother me, but I would forget pretty fast until the next time. A similar thing...
  6. I was thinking the same thing--there was a girl who used to post here a few years ago who was Celiac and allergic to wheat.
  7. Sounds great, Kerrighn. I love fireworks. Over Memorial Day Weekend, one of the nights we could see a display from our driveway that was coming from a park about 8 miles away.
  8. Con Agra is a company that will list any gluten ingredients on the package.
  9. Please....after my saga last night  Can't help ya on the soda since..... surprise...I can't tolerate any alternative sweeteners.... I have the occasional Boylans that uses sugar.
  10. Hi and welcome! That happened to me--I had to switch to unscented, gentle personal care products and "free and clear" type laundry detergent.
  11. Bev--I definitely plan to after I get settled.
  12. I'm going to pick up some California Baby when I get to Target over the weekend. They have a "super sensitive" line. I would love to use something that I can walk into a store and buy. Thanks Nik
  13. I got the same response as Karen by phone. The Original Flavor is gluten-free. They will disclose any gluten on the ingredient list. Their contact number is 800-537-2823.
  14. Hi, I've been wanting to try that. Do you do anything to the zucchini slices before assembling the lasagna? Thanks
  15. Lays chips were always hit or miss for me. I avoid them now--but miss the Natural Thick Cut
  16. Tis a bummer fer sure, Shroom. I've been sensitive to smells and things for a long time, but I think it's slowly been getting worse and causing all these weird sensations. The pillowcase thing last night really threw me fer a loop, but after reading on a few sites, I see that these things are common with chemical sensitivities. Who knew? Do you know...
  17. Yeah--the place isn't the same wifout ya
  18. I'm another one who had almost daily headaches for about a year before going gluten-free.
  19. I'm sorry you got sick --it's especially frustrating when people try so hard to make us gluten-free food. I think it was probably cross contamination if she drained the pasta in the same colander she uses for "regular" pasta. That alone could do it. Then of course, the grill could have been contaminated, or the cutting board used for the salad ingredients...
  20. Me too, Shroom Yes--he has a very hard time Well, last night I was feeling pretty good by the time I went to bed. Decided to lie down and read for a little while and about 10 minutes after getting into bed, my head went from no pain to feeling like someone was trying to hammer their way out of my skull. I got up and went into the...
