  1. Yeah--once you get past the prep it's not bad at all.
  2. Oye sa1937--glad that's over and done with! Dinner tonight is baked chicken thighs with sea salt and garlic, roasted potatoes, and spinach with olive oil and more garlic. Homemade rice pudding for later
  3. Have a wonderful time, Lisa One of my sons is spending the whole Christmas weekend with us and the other is coming Sunday so that day will be our family Christmas dinner. :D (his girlfriend has to work Christmas Eve and Christmas morning). Last year we spent the day alone in TexAss--went to Starbucks and installed hardware on the kitchen cabinets...
  4. A match made in heaven  Bet he did!
  5. Is that what they're calling it now?
  6. Jeeze....I outta look into that....
  7. <snort> How bout the instant underpants???
  8. I daresay no one on this thread expects any company to cater to us--if a company wants to use soy or potato or anything else, more power to them. Again, the point of the original poster's message was that the ingredients had changed and again, I appreciate the heads up.
  9. Bacon soap !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. Get'cha some rest--glad it's over! Too bad ya didn't have the Stress Wiener on page 3 fer any anxiety leading up to the test

  14. Not to beat a dead horse here, but because I said I'd call this morning, I just did. The lady wasn't aware of any changes (which is interesting considering the one yesterday made such a point of telling me that they are always informed of changes) but she looked up the ingredients and sure enough, the chocolate cake mix showed soy flour in the ingredients...
  15. Well, I guess that's it then. The rep I spoke to was mistaken.
  16. Takala, I saw that too on the website after Jess posted the link. Has anyone seen the soy flour listed on an actual box?
  17. Yeah--it's very odd. I tried to call back, but they were closed. I do plan to call back tomorrow, just to see what another rep will tell me.
  18. Ugh...I see that. Maybe she didn't know from whence she spoke?
  19. I just called Betty Crocker (800-446-1898) and asked about soy flour being added to the cake mixes. I decided to call after doing a quick search, and noticing that it was only the Devil's Food variety that seemed to be in question and that seemed odd to me. I spoke to a very nice woman who told me that she had heard of no reformulation at all on any of...
  20. I've had something like that after a cold--like a cold sore but inside the mouth. It hasn't happened to me in years--I was under a lot of stress when it would happen.
