  1. I believe coowhip is made by Kraft and Kraft will disclose and gluten sources on the ingredient label. Happy eating!
  2. Just to clarify - it is on tonight, correct? god I don't get home till around then so I may leave a bit early!
  3. Have you made the French Bread recipe in a bread machine? Or did you do it by hand? I'd like to try it my bread machine and am curious if I'll still get that crunchy crust! Thanks
  4. Yes, please tell us, where did you get them??
  5. Trust me - it was horrible. I was a sticky sticky mess - I'd never do it again!! But I have to say, the effect was terrific.
  6. Sure is! Can't say I've ever pulled off a better halloween costume. I found the dress at the salvation army and then I stood in the shower and had my, then boyfriend, dump red jello all over me - worked like a charm!
  7. Well I just found out that a local place here in Billerica - he'll only sell me the case but oh freaking well - the case is setting me back $47!!
  8. Hi Alice - my only symptom, prior to diagnosis was gas & bloating and sometimes a little "d" - otherwise I didn't have many of the horrible symptoms others have experienced. HOWEVER - now that I've been gluten-free for a year, if I get accidentally glutened my symptoms are ten fold. Severe headaches, d & c, bloating, gas, upset stomach and brain...
  9. Carla I couldn't agree more. My friends prefer that store bought crap over the pure stuff - which I'll never understand. We are in a region of New England that is known for the pure maple syrup - how can you not LOVE it? I use the pure stuff in many of my marinades - sooo good!

Actually I am pretty sure they are not gluten-free and that they use flour in their sauce. I am trying to verify that for you, but the file on their website is corrupt. But I do remember, in my early days, looking them up and being disappointed because they were NOT gluten-free.
  11. I'll also add a good one. I don't think this one is valid, by any means, but it's the cutest damn thing I've heard my boyfriend say. Just to give you some background, last year I bought a house with a male friend of mine. My bf is quite young and just is not ready for that yet - my roomate goes by Lambert and my bf is James: Lambert: I'm going to put...
  12. I definitely will - that one is my absolute fav - look forward to it every year!
  13. This product is manufactured by Unilever and they will disclose any gluten-free sources on the ingredient label. I believe the only two that are gluten-free are the cream of chicken and the cheddar broccoli. I think the tomato has croutons in it. I do eat the other two with no problems!
  14. really?? The gingerbread isn't gluten-free???
  15. Welcome to the club Cowrdlyon! I've had T1 diabetes for 27 years and Celiac for 1 - are you T1 or T2? Definitely puts a cog in the proverbial wheel! I hate to tell you but the gluten-free foods just are not kind to our blood sugars. Depending on which type you are it could either be mildly irritating or down right irritating. Being a T1 I can cover any...
  16. I finally got my answer - thanks! It is gluten-free by the way.
  17. I'm starting a new medication for my diabetes that is called Symlin. It's a synthetic hormone that rivals the naturally produced Amylin. Now I'm having difficulty verifying if this is gluten-free or not. It is an injected liquid and consists of the following ingredients: Active: pramlintide acetate Inactive: metacresol, D-mannitol, acetic acid and...

Just got this from Clan Thompson: Hello, Texas Roadhouse restaurant has withdrawn its gluten free menu. They are now issuing the following statement instead: "At Texas Roadhouse, our mission is Legendary Food, Legendary Service. Each and every day, we strive to provide our guests with homemade food and hand-cut steaks served piping hot by a friendly...
  19. I am also 5'7" - tall for one side of my family (mum is 5'2" and women on that side historically are that height) Average for the other (dad's family runs high 5's and low 6's. My only sibling, sister, is 5'6" she does not have celiac though
  20. How silly is that??
  21. Hi Davyn - Welcome! I also am in NH, Manchester, and also went to school there. Where do you go? I went to NHC (now it's SNHU).
  22. Unilever will always disclose gluten sources on the label. They are a celiac friendly company!
  23. I can't stand her. I don't get her appeal at all! My friends love her and will force me to watch her - she doesn't even make anything all that impressive and her cook books stink!
  24. Keep in mind that Dasani, Aquafina and the like are basically filtered tap water from god knows where. If I'm going to buy water I'm going to buy water from a spring, not a turbine that it's stored in.
