  1. It is a cambells product and NOT on their gluten-free list at all. Now the ingredients for the turkey gravy look safe, the beef gravy states it has wheat in the ingredients. I would say just avoid it.....get pacific broth or some other gluten-free broth add seasonings and make your own gravy, I like using potato flour to make gravy for my church when cooking...
  2. They do not work for prevention, they might help with getting over the gut pains. But will not stop the antibody reaction, or the damage. At $100+ a bottle your better off investing in Nima or EZ gluten strips and testing foods. Other thoughts for quick alternatives. They sell microwave cookers out of plastic and silicon for eggs, bacon, etc. Might...
  3. The frack?! Wait someone told you to replace half your consumed carbs with gluten????? OK is this just for a scope or is this some odd diet to try and see how your react? Are you a celiac/NCGI individual, and how long have you been on a gluten-free diet? Open Original Shared Link
  4. Unflavored rums, Bacardi, Admiral nelson are safe. Rums are made from molasses and sugar cane not wheat or grains. There are a few true potato vodkas out there still, and a grape vodka, most are made from wheat now. While these are distilled/gluten free, I like you distrust them regardless if they even come from wheat. I personally can not drink anymore...
  5. An antibody flare up will keep causing damage for weeks or months after a exposure even if you have no symptoms, I am sure someone else will show you the document ion on this on another post. My suggestion is invest in a testing kit or a Nima kit to test stuff if you have to. Pack some sealed nuts, seeds, dried fruits, bars, or a container of meal replacement...
  6. Post thought here, how much gluten were you eating for your challenge? You do know only have to eat like 1-2 crackers like a saltine, wheat thin, or ritz a day or a half slice of bread. If it is just the drugged feeling you might try it at night before going to bed and sleep it off. This was still too much for me years ago and now days would lay me out puking...
  7. Sounds like my hell years ago in a way, heavy anxiety, thought I was dying, I was running a bucket list, random bouts of anger and frustration at why my hands, feet would not do what I wanted, and my brain would not process things right, thoughts just seemed to loop, I was constipated for 4-10 days at a time. Layed out in bed someday. Had a few occasions...
  8. Figured I would start a positive post. List foods you had to initially cut that after a while of healing you could reintroduce. Me These Foods made me sick and I had a intolerance to now I still limit them but no longer have to worry about seeing them on a label. Red #40, Beets, Peas, Green Beans, Flax Seed, Tapioca, Soy, Casein, Strawberry...
  9. Last challenge I tried I said NO after the initial hit a few years back. YES it is very common to feel drugged on a gluten challenge for celiacs or people with NCGI. Your body is fighting the gluten with antibodies hardcore in the BG if your a celiac. Just like how it fights a disease or virus, flu like fatigue, and drugged state of completely out of it are...
  10. Fatigue can be caused by many different things. Most common ones are a CC issue with gluten, a intolerance to a food or a allergy causing it, or a deficiency. Issue with deficiencies is we are all different, some of us have bodies that require a lot more then the recommended amount and less of others. I for one require 3x the dose of magnesium and 2x the...
  11. So I been having some odd issues, I doubled my protein and fat intake and started stuffing myself to bulk up. Now sometimes I get sick and puke up the undigested food a few hours later. First off yes I am on PPI due to a odd issue, not quite acid reflux but related. Basically if I do not take them my stomach keeps producing acid non stop and I just...
  12. I use a local almond milk from HEB Organics, has a very creamy texture. Alternative I use Blue Diamond since it is commonly on sale. I also like Silk Cashew Milk and blue diamond cashew almond blends they tend to be more creamy. Coconut beverage I use So Delicious, cooking I use Thai kitchen. NOTE I only drink unsweetened versions. Now to your shampoo...
  13. I have some issues with raw peppers and tomatoes, but roasting them to a mush or zapping them in the microwave makes them really easy on my stomach NO clue why but zapping them even in a sauce form, after 2mins they no longer bother me....and oddly enough due to the low carb nature of them and how cheap they are. They are actually a staple of my diet. i...
  14. Bar wise Julian bakery has some gluten-free and Dairy free low carb protein bars, really hit and miss some are terrible. But no gut issue from them. As for protein I use a few on rotation, Post workout and meals I use Nutrakey V-Pro, MRM Veggie Elite, Oragain Vegan, Jarrow Optimal in combination with Jarrow Rice, Jarrow Hemp, Pumpkin Seed Protein, Sancha...
  15. I make my own using So Delicious coconut yogurt, Lorr Ann oils icecream syrups, swerve sugar free sweetener and a ice cream maker.
  16. You body will more actively burn fat for energy, thus it will turn to itself more often and quicker if you do not eat enough. I noticed I did not eat enough this last weekend and my body depleted my stores leaving me without energy and a couple of pounds lighter. You need to eat plenty of fats to maintain your body in this state, and plenty of protein.
  17. Pumpkin Seed protein powder before bed, 2-4 tsp in a bit of almond milk. "Pumpkin seeds and the powder from pumpkin seeds have relatively high amounts of the amino acid tryptophan. Tryptophan is the amino acid the body uses to make the feel-good and relaxation neurotransmitter serotonin. Pumpkin seeds also contain high amounts of zinc, which can help...
  18. I have posted a few grain free recipes in the cooking section for breads, biscuits, and cakes. Working on a cupcake recipe now, found I also have issues with a few other carbs like potatoes (alright with a nibble but a chunk of one will cause gastrointestinal issues) . I was using bean chips for awhile but I guess the rice in them bugged me and caused some...
  19. Are you sure it does not start at least some kind of production in other areas? I can get sores in my mouth, lymph nodes normally have a reaction within 30mins of consuming something with a flour or breading. I also notice issues with the fog, anxiety etc. with inhaled flours sometimes if I go by the bakery some times at stores. Now the gut issues and other...
  20. We had a major discussion on this product a few weeks ago. It will not help you much if you have actual celiac. As it is a autoimmune disease, your body is reacting with antibodies to the gluten proteins. This starts before it even gets to the gut, as soon as you body detects teh gluten in the mouth and stomach it starts producing the antibodies that will...
  21. Found a interesting article on magnesium and how it effects ones health. I noticed a lot of issues that many of us complain about addressed as side effects of not having enough. Open Original Shared Link
  22. Might be you react to other grains also, some celiacs also react to oats, and in rare cases all grains. Keto/paleo diet is a huge help I found, I mostly eat nuts, seeds, veggie protein powders, and egg whites myself with sides of veggies and sometimes a fig or small piece of dried fruit. NOTE I can not digest meats.
  23. Sounds a bit like my diet, high fat, fiber and protein....got to admit fasting kills me. Fighting to get and stat at 128 and shooting for 130 at 5'11". And I eat 3 meals a day and take protein powder shot between meals and at night 2-3 times waking up to eat. Tried a 8 hours fast by not snacking at night, woke up feeling like I was hit by a truck, hurt...
  24. I found it rebounds with the weakness if your get exposed again and hangs around for a few weeks slowly tapering off. The initial phase out took months before I had energy back. I only ever had the full body collapse a few times with very heavy gluten exposure. As for further neurological and nerve issues, I still have issues with feeling in hands and feet...
  25. So I have a list of other noodle alternatives other then grain based ones. Egg You can beat a couple of eggs, or use egg whites /eggbeaters. You oil a skillet and pour them in over low heat forming a thin layer across the bottom of the pan and slowly cook til solid. Flip onto a cutting board and cut into your noodles of desired width Zucchini...
