  1. My theories on this is, I doubt it would work and if it did what other horrifying complications would arise. Look at all the drugs for arthritis that they said was safe or, Viagra for men that causes blindness. No, thanks not for me I will stick to not eating the gluten that way I am sure I am not damaging anything else in my body. Gluten is not that important to me now that I have been gluten-free for almost two years. I am happier without than I am with it.

  2. I'm just finishing college, and when I do I'm joining the police.

My wife is a semi-proffesional webdesigner. She'll be a pro when she's finished her university course. Anyone wants a website doing, she works cheap.....

My website needs doing and I don't seem to have the time.

What people call my "real job" is my working for Calgary Transit. I call it my mundane thing I have to do for money.

I really run my own businesses, write stories, books, and poetry which yes, I have had some published and no, I am not a wealthy writer. I also paint, draw, sew, make my own soaps, lotions, makeup etc and do leather work.

What I would like to do is get the book I am working on published because it is the most important thing to me, go back to visit Cuba, travel the world and afford to go art college to get my degree. I want my BFA so I can say I have a worthless degree to most but worth everything to me.

I have one son that I raised all by myself and two grandchildren and they are all bright, crazy, and creative like me.

  3. Now, depending on the type of dogs you have if their coats feel kind of dry you may want to get a non perfume like the safeway no name liguid fabric softener to use as a conditioner. We all used to do that with our long-haired dogs for dog shows. It would cut out the static too, especially if you are in a dry climate.

  4. Minor glutenings for me is in the corners of my mouth. Medium ones start in the corners of my mouth and go all under my bottom lip and around the bottom of my nose. The bad ones also go to my eyelids and under my eyes. Imagine how pretty I am then.

  5. I am so careful about glutening and still it happens and mainly at work. No matter how much I clean everything sometimes there are minute crumbs that I missed or can't see and they get on my hands and then in my mouth. I so hate it and then when I start craving things filled with gluten after being gluten-free for nearly two years that bothers me. Of course there is always the nightmares of people holding me down and stuffing bread and cake into my mouth.

I also get extremely tired when glutened, to the point that if I have to drive I almost pass out at the wheel, I start shaking, sweating and heading for ole yonder toilet. Being glutened is not pleasant with pain etc. Thinking of the pain I would be in is enough to convince me that cheating with pizza bread would create the "Bloated tired leper-faced Miss Hyde."

  6. Yes, for many of us ice cream is an enemy but sometimes I still have it because I think I can get away without being punished and sometimes I can.

Well I spoke to Unilever Canada who said all of their products will reveal wheat, rye, oats, malt, barley, or if they are made in a facilty that makes those things. So Popsicles, Breyers and Good Humour ice cream and Revellos and Fudgesicles are all free of evil things unless they state otherwise.

  7. Welcome to the site.

Here you will find some of the best information, recipes, and support. This bunch made the transition for me easy. Yes, lately for some strange reason I have been craving Boston Pizza's pizza bread which I haven't craved since I went gluten-free.

Being without the evil gluten is not so bad because there is still tons of things we can eat and create that taste a whole lot better than some horrible gluten-filled item.

somehow this ended up in the wrong thing I have no idea how that happened. But as for crazy after gluten. Well, for me it is hard to tell because I was crazy for so long maybe it is still residual effects.

  8. Full moons always cause lunar madness and I am not joking. Ask anyone who works with emergency situations like police, nurses, doctors, fire, ems etc., they hate working a full moon. Our last full moon this month we had 5 stabbings alone just to do with my job and that was only for one night. As full moon madness is concerend it lasts for the night before and the night after also. So as the 31 is a Thursday and the blue moon once again the tail end will fall on my watch and it will be 10 times worse than any other full moon. The blue moon months are always worse than a normal full moon month. So, as the first full moon was very bad this month this next one will be just the worst.

  9. Now, you could get these herbs as you are in Canada.

I buy the flour at La Tiendonas they are located on the east side of 36 st se and just south of 17th Ave in Forest Lawn. I buy it in 10 lb bags and it is cheap. I buy all my beans there in 10 lb bags also. That way I don't have to keep driving across the city all the time. I pretty well make tortillas or pupusas etc. everyday. I get up in the morning and it takes me 10 minutes to make them before I go to work. That way I have them for work and when I get home. They also carry it in smaller bags, it and the beans. If you want a tortilla press and I have two, a huge one for burittos a small one. I bought them at the Happy Cooker in Market Mall.

  10. Someone was telling me there was a documentary movie of the genetic modifications of wheat and it's affects on people, namely Celiac disease etc. Has any one heard of this movie and know who produced or made it?

  11. I make my own tortillas, enchilandas, and burritos out of masa harina flour. All I do is take two cups of the flour, little less than one cup of warm water add a tiny bit of salt and then I mix in a bunch of different mixed herbe. Unfortunately you don't have them in the US yet and even if you wanted to buy them, I cannot ship them across the border.

But I mix it all in with my hands then slowly add the water. You want it to not stick to your hands but have very little crumbs at the bottom of the bowl. Next you get two heavy pieces of plastic like two glad zip lock sandwich bags and roll them the dough into little balls. Inbetween the two pieces of plastic either with two saucers or a tortilla maker you squish them. You can cook them on fairly high heat in a non stick fry pan no oil. Cook each side till it blisters and then keep them warm in a tea towel, do not let them cook till they get hard, if they do put some water on them or stuff them in a microwave for a few seconds with water on them. I eat them with pretty well anything on them including goat cheese.

PUPUSASA's are made the identical way except turn the heat up and before you cook them put whatever you want like cheese, olives, chicken on one of the tortillas then, put the other uncooked tortilla on top, press edges together and then cook in fry pan. They are pronounced POOPOOSAS they are and El Salvadorian dish.
