Yeah the pearl concealors take a little work to get just the right amount. I'm thinking of putting tape over all but one hole in the sifter so that I never get more than one little dot, lol.
Guess what!
MY NEW TRAIN CASE CAME!!!! Woo hoo...I know what I'm doing this weekend.
Andrea, I haven't sent the package out yet, lol.
Okay, I'm debating whether or not to take makeup to Vegas. It's going to be so flippin' hot that it's just going to melt off anyway and probably not look good more than an hour or two. My friend hasn't seen me in makeup in YEARS, lol. She'll be shocked!
Still, we're staying in a suite and I MUST look the part mustn't I?!
J/K....I NEVER care about THAT, lol. Actually, what it will come down to is whether or not I want to put the extra "weight" in my bag, lol. I only take one small carry on. I'm lazy.
Still, maybe a little foundation, blush and lip gloss might work. Ah, decisions, decisions!

Mia, I'm interested in the accupuncture...I've been thinking of doing that for a couple of years now. I guess one of these days I should really check into it! Sorry you've been feeling bad!
I'm here. Just kinda feel stuck in slow motion. I talked to the Dr yesterday and the bleeding got worse again, so she switched me to another med....it's used for uterine cancer. So I'm trying to not freak out totally. But it's given me horrible cramps, so I was in a lot of pain today.
I'm so sorry Kassandra!

Hum, that Caboodles link took me to the main page...the one I got is like the pink plastic one...
I'll try this link:

Here is the Caboodles box I bought at Target (only I got it in blue):

I sometimes brush the blush into my eyebrows to give them a hint of red. Today I brushed some onto my growing out bride-of-frankenstein gray streaks on my temples, worked pretty well -dulled the gray. maybe a fun way to liven up your hair color for a day.
!!!! Okay, I must try this. Probably sometime in August...I'm having my hair done Saturday, but then won't be able to have it done again until sometime at the end of August, so my grey roots will be showing plenty by then...I'll have to experiment with different colors, lol!
place 3 orders in one week? Two in the same Day!!!!!...
Where are you guys ordering the cases from ?? I believe I need one now.
...
How often do any of your clean your brushes and with what??
Okay, three in a week, and TWO in one day is definitely cult status...in fact, if Mango doesn't pop in more often we might promote you, lol. (J/K Mango! No one could replace our founder, lol)
Train cases...I bought my first one at Target...a bright blue Kaboodles plastic case. My second one was also from Target, but was a "craft" tote.
Then I bought this one from this company:

That's too small now, so I just ordered this one from Sephora (saw it in person in the store and it is bigger than my other pink one):

As far as cleaning brushes...I try to do it at least once a month. I have some liquid castille soap that I use. I also have duplicate of all my brushes because, like Andrea said, they seem to take a really long time to dry. Overnight definitely doesn't do it for me, and sometimes it even takes a couple of days. And, I even rub them on a towel to get the excess water out.

Okay, new colors up today...here's what I found so far:
Lip colors: Bamboo, Coffee Shop, Missing Socks, Spring Berries
Blush: Homework, launch party, light peach, raspberry sherbert, salon fun, sandy bottom, spring clean tea time.
I didn't get to finish looking around because I can't seem to get to the site at the moment.

I will let you know how it goes. She says this protocol has really been helping her sinus sufferers - like me - to kick the sinus infections without resorting to antibiotics.
I REALLY HOPE THIS WORKS!!!
Me too! I really hopes this works for you. As someone who had nearly constant sinus infections for 3 whole years, I know just how miserable it is!

We're going to Miami Sunday .... neither of us is bringing a computer ... and Adam is forbidden to bring his cell phone as well.
So, I'll be out of touch till July 3rd. Kassandra knows how to get a hold of me.
No computers!!! Take a break, lol!
When is vegas, ill drive up lol.Vegas??? When are you going?July 6-9.
Staying in a SUITE!!!! My friend found a really good deal!
when do you have the endo?Donna, that's good news you are going to have the endoscopy to have the ampulla and your esophogus issues checked outHave you scheduled it yet?
July 2 (nex Wednesday). I'd be lieing if I said I hadn't thought about the possibility of it already turning to cancer...especially with the cancer miasm that Anna found and the fact that some of my bloodwork is a little tiny bit off...none of which probably has anything to do with anything, but I'd still like to know why it was enlarged.
Have fun in Miamia.
Donna--I'll be thinking about youGlad they're keeping good tabs on you
Thank you! Me too, lol.
Donna, that's great that this is getting checked. Hopefully all will be well.Have fun in Vegas, and Carla, have fun in Florida!
Thanks!

Gosh Kassandra...seems like one thing after another! I'm so sorry!
Everyone,
I saw my GI yesterday. I thought I was going to have to talk him into doing an endoscopy, but he actually brought it up and suggested we should go ahead and get it checked out. For those that don't know (it was slightly before this thread), two years ago my PCP found blood in my stool. She suggested a colonoscopy and referred me to a GI. The GI decided to do an endoscopy at the same time to check out my villi (although I'd already been gluten free for several months).
During the endoscopy he found some things...minor damage to my esophagus, polyup in my stomach, but the biggest thing was a growth on my ampulla of vater (the opening where the bile and pancreatic duct meet and empty bile into the intestines. It's supposed to be the size of a pen tip, but mine was quite large. The equipment he used didn't allow him to reach it for a biopsy, so a week later I had another endoscopy so he could biopsy. Three labs (including Stanford) couldn't decide if it was precancerous or not. The GI put me on prilosec for a couple of months to see if reducing inflamation would help. So in a couple of months we did another endoscopy...he never really said what the labs said, he basically just said it was fine and that we didn't need to check unless I was feeling bad.
Meanwhile my PCP asks me everytime I go in for my annual exam about this. This year I asked her if it had turned to cancer would it appear on my bloodwork and her answer was that we didn't want to wait until it shows up in a blood test. She put in a referral for me (even though I don't need one, lol) for the GI.
He asked how I was feeling and I told him basically pretty good but am having ramdom pain from my ribcage down to my pelvic area...different places, different intensities, etc., and that I am also having the feeling like things are getting stuck in my esophagus--not food so much, but like pills and things. I didn't even mention doing another endoscopy but he suggested it was time to go in and check the ampulla! Phew, what a relief. It's been two years and by now we should have a clearer picture. He said while he's in there he'll check the esophagus too.
So I'm relieved...I feel like we'll finally know for sure what's going on.
On an even happier note...did I mention I'm going to Las Vegas?!

New specials sound awesome. Im so happy i got my stimulus check today, now i can really shop, even tho im not sure what i need to get. I dont even have room for my stuff i have now in the case. Donna, how the heck do oyu do it lmao
Yeah, I've got stuff everywhere, lol. I am waiting for my Sephora Train case to come...that should fit more. Right now I've got stuff I use a lot in the train case and stuff I really like but don't use often in a three drawer stackable unit and my lip glosses in ANOTHER 3 drawer unit.

Egads Kassandra! I'm so sorry you are going through all this!

And more details:
News: Hi Everyone! The new specials page is up! It is 10% off "LastWeekinJune" Special! Check it out! I want to post the image of 3rd place soon. We also have a bunch of new products and some that were featured on specials earlier that will launch on Wednesday at 4:00pm CST. Keep an eye out for those! 4 new lip colors and 3 new blushes!
We have received the new jars with closable sifters which is awesome. I have an image I'd like to post, but just don't know how quite yet - I am wrangling some help right now
The Eye Buki brush is on its way. And we are switching from renewable birch handles to bamboo handles. The price is twice as much per brush but we will absorb that cost for you. I am told these will be ready by the first week in July - so hopefully we can have them up for you by July 17th!
We also have three new machines coming in early next month that will enable us to provide recycled packaging that will cut down on the amount of jars that are thrown away each day. Especially with the sample jars. This new packaging will also let us offer far more free samples, so we are excited about that!
The video link will be up later next week, and I am still waiting for the changes on blog to be pushed over to the live site. I'm still waiting for my beloved blog to be back up.
Gift Certificates are finished and are going through final testing right now! UPDATE - they are still testing - I want them now though!!!! (6/23)
Our color library should be up soon as well. You will be able to contribute your own descriptions for your Everyday Minerals colors, and those descriptions will be rotated in the product pages! We want to provide as much first hand information on the colors as possible so we help everyone select the best colors for them. I should be able to put this up today or tomorrow!
I am still waiting to hear word on the ability to order multiple kits. In FAQ the webguys tell you how you can order multiple kits right now. When I get word back on this I will post.
And please keep banging away at support@everydayminerals.com for any issues at all that come up with the new website. They are working 24hours to ensure everything is perfect.
For anything related to shipping and tracking questions, please leave a message with Live Chat under Shipping Stuff! They are about 24 hours behind on responses, but should have everything taken care of by the end of the work day Monday.
Thanks so much, Carina

Guess what I'm wearing!
Blue eyeshadodw! I never thought I'd see the day, but yep, blue eyeshadow. So Happy go Lucky is the way to go for me, lol. It's just a very nice hint of blue without screaming it.
I even put it on the way the girl in that EOTD thread said...she pats it on with a brush instead of sweeping it on. I finished that off with a little Floating Feathers at the brow bone which I then blended down the eye. Sounds very 80's-ish, but actually looks very nice. With a little Mystic Night as a liner and some mascara I'm good to go.
And, my other experiment this weekend was with the pressed powder. Yesterday I managed to get a thin layer as a primer layer (using the sponge). It was still light, lol. I am undecided as to whether it was too light. I think it probably was, and it actually made my makeup feel a bit heavier, but the thing that will probably stop me from doing this again was that my eyes felt weird...that tells me I might be slightly sensitive to it...so I probably won't use it much, if at all.
I have been wanting to ask you what you think of the new foundation color. I have not tried them yet, so wanted to get your opinion first lolI LOVE it! I'm still really loving it. I bought two formulations, Intensive and Matte. Looking at them in the jar, the matte is darker than the intensive. I have used them both and love them both, but I use the matte more I think. I may even mix them together at some point and see what that looks like. So yes, this is my best match yet.
I was double-charged for an order, and I still haven't received it yet. I'm ordering again tonight (so I still get the special) but I really need to resolve this. And I don't see any place on the site where there's an email I can get ahold of. I didn't have any luck with the online support-thing. It copped out on me.!! Wow, hope you can get THAT straightened out!
I'll post my reviews tomorrow!Looking forward to hearing all about it today, lol!
I, too, got my stuff. Only played a bit (just how made up do you need to be to pull weeds?) but I have to say, shiny kermit is the way to go. Dulls down the redness a lot with less green.Woohoo for the shiney kermits of the world!
-
Okay then...glad I didn't get cliche!
Yeah, I'm tempted to place another order too, lol. Probably won't since I spent a bunch o'money today, but I'm still tempted.
So day three of my brush experiment is done. I think I still like the LHK for foundation, but it's doing well for the primer layer too.
-
Soccer practice doesn't seem orange at all to me.
-
Oh Kassandra, what a day!!!! Wow!
-
Thanks for the info Donna. I might have you try it first and see how you do with it, a guinea pig of sorts
But it sounds really promising, I'd be happy with 5 shades...I'd be happy with even 2
Yes, and this one is supposed to NOT make teeth sensitive...so I'm hoping it works, lol.
Now for sure i know no more pressed powder. I had 5 people tell me that i looked very pale today while i was an function this morning lol.I put on soccer practice lip gloss and i love it.
Okie dokie then...no more pressed powders for me. Unless.... Do they have a tan, lol, that might work.
Yeah, I really like soccer practice!

I counted. I have 40 of these symptoms. I made an appointment with the LLMD who Carla recommended. He can't see me until the very end of August. I will try to to call occasionally for cancellations.
Thanks again for the help.
You're welcome! I'm so happy you are going to see him! August really isn't all that far away, lol!
I need help thinking of questions and testing that we might need the dr to look into. Anyone have any ideas????Yeah, what Rachel said...I'm hoping this one will be more up on things.
-
Crap i forgot to try some of the lipsticks lol
Oh yeah...I'm wearing Copper today. I got my latest order yesterday, and copper was the lipstick I tried this time. It's a nice color...I thought it would be very orange, but it's not, and it's sort of sheer which is very nice. I mixed it with a pink today just because of what I'm wearing, but it'd be nice on its own too.
-
Yep, goth is a good description. Good to know a darker color won't help, lol!
-
Oh Oh, Paula and I finally have a color we CAN'T share!
-
Yay on the traincase and spill on the tooth whitener, I'm interested
...
I guess we just have to try EVERYTHING!!!!!
Yes, you MUST try EVERYTHING!
Tooth whitener...I've been wanting to do that for a while, but I've tried the drug store stuff and it just doesn't work, and the dentist's office is too expensive right now...but I was afraid to try some of the other stuff out there, not knowing if it would work or not. Then yesterday, I happened to click on something on a webpage I was on, and it happened to be reviews of some teeth whiteners. They only found two that worked reasonably well, and the second of the two was one that Sephora sells, so I decided to try it. The reviewer was disappointed because it only whitened by 5-6 shades, lol. The #1 on the list went 7 shades...but that was from a website I'd never heard about before. I decided to try the one at Sephora. I'd be happy with 5 shades, lol.
If anyone is interested, I ordered Fairly Light Neutral Semi-Matte foundation, Email Me blush, Start to Finish Fair finishing powder, and Intensive Light Concealer.Silly, silly girl...OF COURSE we're interested. More than just interested, it is the duty of all cult personnel to report all orders!
Hey Ya'll!!!Hi there! Welcome! They do have free (just cost of shipping) sample kits you can get, and you can order larger sample sizes of the makeup products too, so you don't have to get big containers of stuff until you know you like them. I see colleen gave the suggestion of mixing the foundation with the moisturizer, which is what I was going to suggest too.
OK - today is Mistletoe. LOVE IT!!! It is a great emerald green with a sparkle. Looks great with my green eyes. I used Cliche as a base again today. I am going to run out of this stuff fast, and will have to buy a new one before long.I really love Mistletoe!

When I'm on the new website, I often click excitedly on a lovely creamy peachy shade of blush, only to see the words "new car smell" pop up. Then I go like this:
(they so lie about that color...seriously, why does it look so pretty online, yet so horrid in reality?
)
OMGOSH!!! Yes...I do the same thing!!!! They truly LIE!

Okay...basics it is! Yeah, A/C most of the time but they over-cool the casinos so that when you step outside into the JULY heat it's like stepping into a furnace, lol. It only takes a couple of minutes out there to start sweating. :sweatyfacedemoticongoeshere:
