Oh Andrea, by the time I come up there I'll need a suitcase just for my makeup!
-
OMG OMG OMG!!!
When I got home last night I had a package waiting on my doorstep.
My order came, my order came!
Are you sitting down? Hold on...
Guess what?!
I LOVE all three of the lip glosses I got! Yep, that's right, all of them! I'm wearing Soccer Practice today, with a little Sugar Free over it. The Sugar Free isn't white at all...it looks like it in the tube, but it's actually sheer with just a little frost. Soccer Practice is slightly reddish copper rust, lol. It actually shows up on me! Yay. English Muffin is the other color I got and when I tried it on last night it looked good as well.
PEARL CONCEALORS!!!! OMGosh, LOVE these, lol!!!
Today I'm wearing Pearl Sunlight...I tapped a couple of taps into my regular silk dust and put that on as a "primer" on my face. You can definitely see the pearl effect...it would be great for those of you who still have that "dry" look even with original glo, lol. Anyway, I was worried that it might be too shiney, but when I put my foundation over it, it looks PERFECT. And, by-the-way, for those who haven't ordered a full size of concealor...IT'S HUGE!!! It's in the same size container as the full size foundations. I didn't know that, lol. I thought the full size eyeshadow sized container was the large size.
I also put a little Pearl Pick Me Up Pink on my eyes as eyeshadow, but it looked too light, so I went over it with the freebie blush.
FOUNDATION!!! OMGosh, I LOVE this, lol!
I got Soft Butter Peach, and when I saw them in the jar I thought all but one might be too light, but this color in Matte is absolutely PERFECT!!! The true test will be to see if it turns color by the end of the day, but so far so good. This might be the best match yet.
And, by-the-way, for those wondering about different formulations...l ordered this in three formulations: Matte, Semi-Matte and Intensive, and looking at them in the jars there is a definite color variation.
BLUSH!!!
I'm wearing Bouquet today...very nice color. Can't really describe it though, but it's nice. I also got Champagne...it looks VERY light pink.
New eyeshadows I ordered: Room Addition, Starlit, 10 Items or Less and Happy Go Lucky all look nice...a couple will make nice eyeliners too.
Puff Jar...um, not sure exactly what I'll do with this or how it works exactly, but I'm sure I'll figure something out.
The pressed powders look very nice...didn't try them yet.
Natural blush looks interesting, can't wait to try that.
I think they sent a full sized freebie...not sure...Launch Party...I think that's it, but I can't remember. Anyway, it looks very dark, so I used it as an eyeshadow.
Okay, so that's it...I think I'll go buy that Sephora train case since I've DEFINITELY now out grown the one I have.

By the way...Donna...she told me that Anna has moved the clinic. She moved into a much nicer space. She has no idea where its located but its not in the mall.
I gotta find out...she said Scott knows where its at.
Great appointment...still hoping to get in to see her when she is here, but I'm not so sure I can even if they call. I have a surgery date of July 21st...if she comes way early in July I could go, or if she comes in late July I might still be able to, but won't be able to drive for a couple of weeks after the surgery... I had no idea Anna moved, lol. Didn't even know they were considering it.
I've just been thinking I should call for another appointment, but since we don't have anything specific to test for anymore, I keep putting it off.
Rachel, and Donna,I don't know the normal proceedure for the order of amalgam removal, but my dentist takes the quandrant with the biggest reading first.
I was glad to know that I wouldn't have to go up there 10-11 times.
It's a 2 1/2 - 3 hour drive from here.....in Seattle.
My dentist did it in quadrants, but I can't remember exactly how he decided which one to do first. He didn't take any readings of anything that I know of, so I think he just based it on where he likes to start.
Everyone,Ever since I started the IV abx, I've had pretty bad D.
It didn't really start until yesterday (day 2) and it hasn't gone away. Sunday morning I had a HORRIBLE attack type thing that felt like severe cramps...but it wasn't. Dr H examined me and said my gallbladder seems fine because it wasn't really painful. I guess I should call him and tell him about the D? I don't want to have to go off the IV's but I guess he needs to know.
Yeah, Carla beat me to it, but D is sometimes a side affect of lots of abx...good to let the doctor know...there may be something you can do to calm it down that doesn't involve stopping them.

Yay Andrea!!!!!

Well, the description on the individual products are incomplete, but I saw on the forum where someone mentioned the new Start to Finish Powders in rice and the soon to come oat version...so I'm not sure if the Start to Finish Powers without "Rice" in the name contain oats or not.
-
Andrea, I'm not entirely sure either....I just know there was mention of oats...and I'm not even entirely sure it was the finishing powder, but I think it was, but not 100% sure. I'll see if I can find it too. I think the rice powders are fine.
-
I hadn't worn makeup regularly in a long time either. Years ago I started wearing Bare Essentuals, but in the last couple of years, even that made my face itch and break out, even though I was only wearing it one day a week, so I was VERY happen Mango started this thread, lol. So far so good with the not breaking out, and it definitely doesn't make me itch. So far, I think the only product that may be a problem for us are the finishing powders made from oats.

Hi Leslie, welcome!
They just switched over to the new site, so I'm not sure if the same descriptions apply, but they used to have some guidelines there as to what constituted "golden", "buff" etc. I'll go over in a little while and look. I couldn't decide because I seemed to fit pieces of several categories...I SHOULD be olive, but that's actually not my best fit--it works, but not perfectly. I found I actually have very good matches in FOUR of the categories, lol.
As to which formulation to get...my skin tends to get oily, so I went with the matte. I also tried semi-matte which wasn't bad, but my T-zone got a little too shiney for my taste, lol. I also tried Intensive in a couple of them, and once tried Original Glo which really made me glowy, lol. If you have very dry skin, you may want to start with Original Glo. Intensive seems to give a bit more coverage. Semi-matte is somewhere between original glo and matte.
You can order as many of the free sample kits as you'd like (just not on the same order)...I ordered several in the beginning. The sample sizes have enough product in them to use at the minimum several days. I got almost two weeks worth of use out of one sample.

Okay, Donna-give up the pore shrinking regime! I have been using the EM for 5 months and still have enlarged pores on my nose. Please, help!!
Actually, that wasn't me, but I WAS going to post that I've had something similar. My pores seem much smaller, I'm not quite sure why, and when I'm wearing the makeup, it really is harder to see them.
-
YAY Kassandra!!!!!
Jin, glad you posted! I hope this new guy works out for you!
-
Thanks Paula! I edited my post to highlight lithium too, lol. I don't think I said "Happy Anniversary" to you, so HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! I hope your aunt is okay!
Yeah, Dr. S really wants me to stay away from stress, but it's nearly impossible for me...the best I can do is try to find better ways to deal with it. I work for a law office for goodness sakes, lol!
-
Yeah, I had a lot of fun filling kits too...and the anticipation of knowing I have a delivery soon is really fun too.
-
I've had 3 so far and may have another one in a few weeks. Like everyone else has said, I remember nothing after I layed down on the table, lol. I had a VERY mild sore throat after a couple of them, but it was hardly noticable. I've had the sedation all 3 times. For all of mine though, they wouldn't let me do unless someone drove me home, so be sure to ask about that if you haven't already.
So on the first one, I also had a colonoscopy...the sedation seemed to be a bit heavier for that, and it took me a while to come completely out of it. My mother said I asked the nurse the same question 3 times, and to this day I don't remember what the question even was, much less the answer, lol. I arrived at the surgicenter, was asked some questions, an IV was started, I walked into the procedure room, layed down on a table, and the next thing I remember was my mom laughing at me because I'd asked the nurse the same question 3 times. I was REALLY hungry on the way home, so I ate a nutrition bar I had brought with me.
The second endoscopy was just a week after the first one. They found a growth on my bile duct, but couldn't reach it with the scope they used the first time, so I had another one on better equipment so they could get a biopsy. Basically the same procedure as above, but they used less sedation and I came out of it quicker.
The third one was two months after the second one, for another biopsy of the growth. Same procedure.

I also have has similar muscle twitching/buzzing/electric zigs and zags in my things, legs, and feet/heels. The have increased substantially while on the Tetra antibiotics. None of it hurts that bad, just wacky.
I'd definitely like to hear about any similar neck/spine/electric buzzing/etc. experiences from people that have Lyme or are clinically diagnosed. Any experiences or information is helpful. I'll probably check back in a few days. Sorry for the long post.
Hello and welcome. I definitely have neck/spine issues. I also have lots of almost involuntary muscle twitches, but I can't say I have that electric feeling. My skin often burns like it has a bad sunburn, and I get sudden sharp stabbing pin prick type feelings, but not the buzzing thing, at least I don't think so, lol.

Thanks everyone, sorry I vented!
I'll ask him to do the challenge again once I know what's going on with my foot and after seeing my GI later this month. Those two things are the biggest things weighing on my right now...the carpet is secondary, lol.
He was okay with me having the foot surgery, but doesn't want me to have general anesthesia, which I don't think this doctor does anyway.
The toxic head thing was from something he saw on the neurotransmitter results I took with me.

Ok I feel like an idiot,. I never knew you all put an silk dust on under your foundation. I have always jsut put my sunlight under my eyes then straight to foundation, blush then finishing dust. Well today i tried silk dust under and what an difference it made, I also finally wore mascara again after an year. I had an very good makeup day today lol.
Donna,
Are you able to get the discount after all
Yay for good makeup days!
Yeah, it makes a difference for me too to put on the silk dust first...and I also mix that with just a little concealor.
I DID get the discount...well the email said 10% but I'll take it...better than nothing.

Hi all. Well, NO chelation, NO Lyme treatment, nada. I'm a little bummed, so I'm keeping my post sort of short, lol.
He is please with my progress and wants me to do natural chelation, and also natural lyme treatment, so is basically handing me off to someone like Dr. Amy. Now, the reason I'm trying to keep my post short is because that statement I made sounds so negative and like I am displeased, but I'm not, lol, so that's why the short posts.
My DMPS challenge test didn't show a high enough range for him to think I needed agressive chelation. He did say that it could be because it was the first DMPS, and that maybe my levels would changes if I had 1 or 2 more, but made no mention of wanting to do another one. My essential elements numbers were all out of balance, but he made no mention of anything regarding that.
Basically my head is toxic. So I guess my plan is to really try to get in to see Dr. Amy, and maybe I'll start with another ART session with Scott.
On top of all of that, the scheduling nurse called yesterday (but I didn't have time to call back) saying that the pre-authorization was in for my surgery and wants to know what days are good or not good for me...um, try MONTH, lol. So, I have to call her back today and I haven't even talked to my boss yet who I expect is going to not be happy about this.
And then there's the stupid carpet and the stupid tires, which I forgot to call and order AGAIN, lol.
And, to top all that off, it's danged busy at work today.
So, I'm in a bummed out, discouraged, overwhelmed, sort of pissy mood today (in case you couldn't tell, lol).
(does that cover all the emotions, lol)

Sorry Mango, no suggestions from me...everything else makes me itch or break out.
So, I emailed EM to see if they would apply the discount to my order since the announcement about the special wasn't up when I posted, but says orders "from June 4". I'll see what they say.
The forum is up at the new site now too!

Okay so it turns out it was basing the shipping on my old US address - I just switched it to my Prague address and now dhl is $602.
I could freaking fly to Texas and pick it up myself for that price
 I think I'll chose first class priority mail LOL
!!!!
WOW, um yeah, I could take a small vacation for that money, lol. By-the-way I do have Pink Lemonade (got it as a freebie a few orders ago)...I was confused yesterday because I thought I had it, but it wasn't on my spreadsheet. Looked last night and sure enough I have it. I put it out on the counter so that I could try it this morning...and...promptly forgot. It still sits on my counter.
I remember that I thought it was okay, but it was in the THIRD drawer of my lip gloss drawer, and the THIRD drawer is reserved for lip gloss that I will likely NEVER wear.
Middle drawer is for yeah, I like this well enough, but don't wear it often, and the top drawer is for my favorites.
Next best thing to a spreadsheet!
Should I buy a long handled kabuki, angled blush brush or new flat top brush? I think I mainly want to use it for finishing powder and my first layer (primer). I already have a baby kabuki and that's what I mainly use for foundation.Anyone have a favorite?
I LOVE all three of them. I use the flat top to put on my silk dust (first layer), the long handled kabuki for foundation (second layer) and the angled brush for blush. If I had to rank according to favorites: LHK, FT then angled. The angled brush is small...the brush part is smaller than a lot of other blush brushes I've used. So I have two...the small one I use for very lightly pigmented blush because it puts it on more concentrated, then I have a fluffier one that I got at Target which I use to put on more pigmented stuff--puts it on lighter.
I'd say the long handled kabuki is my most favorite

I have a request for everyone...can you all pray/send positive thoughts that the insurance company approves my IV abx. I just talked to the lady at the infusion company and she said that as soon as she gets papers faxed from the Dr's office, the insurance company's case worker said it will be approved because I have neuro Lyme. Yahooo! I won't believe it until I see it, but it sounds good.
Done!
Donna, I thought of you when I read this list: Open Original Shared Link because it specifically mentions great toe pain. Thanks for the links! Yeah, I remember a thread on LN about toe pain, and for the longest time I kept writing off the pain to that alone, and I still think some of the pain might be to that too. Also probably doesn't help that I've gained 15 pounds.
I'm not making any decisions on surgery until at least the end of June though because I see my GI again on the 24th specifically for a followup to the growth on my ampulla. Whether I do surgery on my toe or not will depend on the results of that appointment, lol.
-
I've been reading.
So can you still get the coupon code or it is too late for this order.
I think it's too late. I guess I could try to cancel the order and redo it, lol. Or, I can just be lazy and let it go...still 20% would have paid for the shipping!
-
Okay...another important question:
can anyone compare ivory foundation to multi-tasking? I'm guessing ivory is a bit lighter?
I didn't use multi-tasking very much, but yeah, I think ivory is lighter. I thought it was too light for me, but the times I wore it I got a lot of compliments.
-
Mango, I think you HAVE to get the pearl pick me up pink! Don't you LOVE the regular PUP?!
OH, and I think you HAVE to get the pearl MINT!!!! Kermit should always be pearly!
-
Okay, I'll just keep talking to myself then! Harumphf!
Okay, so she got the code from the "Live Help" option...she was having trouble with the shipping so hit that button and the guy she "talked" with gave her the code.
