Morning all...another old symptom has returned. GOOPY EYE feeling, lol. My left eye is still irritated and the right one is now also feeling goopy, lol. Stupid body!
Donna, I keep hoping things will improve. I think Julie asked a good question about the changes in treatment. I was thinking that your flu symptoms sounded like you had pneumonia, maybe walking pneumonia?? Seems like that is mycoplasma pneumonia...Hum, okay, must go google mycoplasma pneumonia. My doctor said my lungs sounded clear so she said I didn't have pneumonia or bronchitis at that time, but I definitely had a fever when I went to see her.
Is that a good sign?Well, it's a sign, lol...

Gosh I hate Quest labs, lol. Maybe they got the name wrong.
I wrote Dr E about whether she thinks gluten would test as a stressor even if it hadn't been eaten for awhile, if the celiac had actually been triggered. Don't really know that she would be able to answer that but I thought I'd try.Yeah, a couple of my doctors think that NO ONE should eat gluten, lol.

I agree...what you said about us is very nice Jin! Glad to see you back.

Any chance anything new you have started induced a healing crisis? I thought the last few appts you went to you might have started a new supplement or two, and then the timing of you getting sick seemed to come right after that.
Also just the stress of refinancing your condo and etc, a weakened immune system and all the bugs going around doesn't make for a very good combo
Well, I started Serra Peptase about a month and a half ago I think...I guess the timing WOULD be about right. I also started several detox drops and terrains for the mold, miasms and gallbladder, at the same time. I don't think I started anything since then...maybe a new brand of COQ10. Anyway, I had been feeling kind of off for several weeks before I actually got really sick, so that puts the timing just right for all the new supplements.
The stress certainly didn't help. The good news is that the refinancing is all done, I've been paid, and I've paid off all my bills, so THAT should help ease the stress a little. Now, I just have the stress of trying to get the work done, which sounds so small, but trying to figure out how it's all going to get done is overwhelming for me.

It's been a while since we've seen the "you know you're an EM addict when" list, so here it is:
And here is the brilliance in its entirety:
1. You choose your clothes according to the makeup colors your going to wear.
2. You plan a day ahead what makeup your wearing the next day.
3. You know you must have every brush EM puts out.
4. You spend over $30.00 in makeup because you like the new "special".
5. You wear makeup even when your planning on staying home for the day.
6. You plan a shopping trip centered solely around buying "accessories" for your makeup habit.
7. You remove and reapply a full face of makeup more than twice in one day just to see what a different combination looks like.
8. You compulsively check online to see when the EXACT MINUTE is that your EM order will arrive.
9. When your order arrives, you speed home and lock yourself in the bathroom with it so the kids can't interrupt as you paw through it.
10. You start looking at complete strangers and analyzing their makeup and think about how EM would look on them.
11. You take complete strangers hostage from other threads in hopes of raising money to feed your EM addiction.
12. You begin to think of all colors as base, lid, crease, and liner.
13. You're known to stalk DHL vans.
14. You put on foundation (and a bit of blush) to go running, and justify it by telling yourself that the make-up will provide good sun protection.
15. When you refer to your online make-up friends in everyday conversation, people look at you like this ----->
16. You own twelve shades of blush, and plan on ordering more.
17. You considered choosing ten shades of eye shadow an extremely difficult decision.
18. You couldn't decide whether you were warm, cool, beige or neutral, and you REALLY couldn't decide if you wanted matte, semi-matte, intensive or original-glo (and you ponder these things often).
19. Sometimes you feel like kermit.
20. The day is missing something if you didn't 'mix' more than one makeup color together.
21. You know the exact day the EM special will change. And you are seriously ticked off if they extend the current special.
22. On the day the special is supposed to change, the first thing you do in the morning is log into the EM site to see what the new special is. If it hasn't changed yet, you send EM an email to ask what time zone the change will occur in.
23. The second thing you do on the change of special day is to log on to this thread to make sure everyone else saw it and ask what they are ordering.
24. You are seriously bummed out if there are NO new posts in the EM thread.
25. You check the EM site 3-10 times a day JUST to see if there are any new colors or products.
26. you wake up early with the excuse to exercise when really you want an hour to put on your makeup while the kids are still asleep.
27. You cant wait to buy all the brushes and eye shadows in one shopping trip.
28. You email all of your "real life" friends and tell them about EM.
29. You talk so much about EM, your mom tells you to order her some.
30. Foundation, one type of concealer, two shades of blush and one shade of eye shadow is considered a light make-up day (because you usually wear three types of concealer and four shades of eyeshadow)...
31. You've gotten up at 5, spent all day at work, went to chorale practice without having time to open your makeup, get home at ten completely exhausted and still feel compelled to try out the chit chat blush because it's Donna's favorite.....or....wait, was that supposed to be knick knack? Shoot, when is that next special.
32. When you discover that the minerals are discoloring your sink you realize you'll have to do your remodel in "fair medium".

Ordering finger is in training now...getting ready for the big day!

Donna, Did you send me that flu lol.
...
Any ideas what i can do to feel better.
Ha, don't think you got it from me, although PLENTY of people around here did, lol.
Nothing made me feel loads better. I made an quick easy chicken soup a couple of days...that's really all I felt like eating. I'd be really hungry, but just didn't want to eat anything...nothing sounded good. That sort of made me feel better.
I drank tons of warm water (it was cold here, lol).
Hot shower seemed to help too...I didn't take an epsom salt bath but I'm wondering if that would have helped some too.
I basically did NOTHING except lay on the couch for two weeks. The few times I tried to venture out always did me in. When I went back to work that REALLY did me in...I'm still fighting fatigue. The fatigue is almost as bad as it was a year and a half ago.

Checking the EM Cult Thread is a good idea. Donna may have been on there. I will see. Work is quite demanding for her. Law offices are not exactly the least busy places to be employed!Andrea, Donna's been very sick and for a while there was actually unable to even sit at the computer for any length of time. She's posting a bit more lately, though, so hopefully she's doing a lot better.Patti, I'm glad you posted about Donna, I was going to mention earlier. Not only was she super sick, but just as she was starting to feel better she had strange symptoms with her eye, possibly an infection? She has a had a really rough stretch here for a while
Hello everyone! I'm here...sometimes, lol. I'm finding it really hard to keep up. I had that flu thing for two whole weeks, and that has sort of put me back a step or two I think. I can't concentrate on anything it seems.
My eye is still irritated, but is getting better. When I was sick, I coughed so hard that I couldn't catch a breath...that made me tense up and I pulled a little muscle in my chest and one in my head. Apparently at the same time I threw something out in my right shoulder blade area.
I saw my PT/chiro last week, then a massage therapist at work for 30 minutes on Friday, then the PT/chiro again Friday afternoon. Saturday my whole neck and shoulder region was excrutiatingly painful, so I just decided to not even turn on my computer for the entire weekend, lol.
All that's better today...I'm still going to go in and see the PT/chiro today because the shoulder blade thing is still really sore.
In addition to ALL that, my boss has been on me about making sure I ALWAYS have work, so I am really paranoid about posting while at work. I think they're going to have layoffs here soon and I think she doesn't want me to be one of them.
I had a BioSET appointment Saturday...candida showed up big time again.
While I was sick I barely had an appetite, so stayed away from sugar completely, but I guess the weeks BEFORE that did me in.
I see Dr. S next Monday...kind of excited about that.
-
Oh, and forgot to report my "using something other than it was intended" thing...
To Do List...a nice color, but doesn't show up on my eyes and is a bit too light. I didn't have any other makeup on, so swiped a bit of it on my cheek with my finger. It actually made a nice blush color. But I tried it again after putting on my foundation and it was way too light. I used my darkest foundation that day, so I may try this one more time with ligher foundation, and maybe applying it with my finger again, lol. If nothing else it will be a nice color to put on if I'm not wearing makeup at all but want a little glow to my cheeks, which they don't have naturally anymore.

Morning everyone! I took a break from computers this weekend...didn't even turn my computer at home on once the entire weekend.
Hello everyone! I definitely wasn't expecting to find mineral makeup on a gluten-free site! I've been using minerals for several years now. I have some EM, but never got hooked on them.Hello and welcome! Yeah, many of us have tried other brands...I started breaking out with BE, so was happy to find EM, which doesn't seem to.
I hope your eye is better today...
So, has anyone recently ordered a brush from them that is yucky? Or did they really change their brushes?
Yes, it's better...so far no stye, but it still feels irritated a little.
None of the recent brushes I've received have been bad or yucky...they're all good.
I now have 14 foundations!I fear a spreadsheet is in my future...
 I think you MAY have more than me...must check my spreadsheet....okay, no, I have 19 if you don't count the different formulations of the same color, lol...27 if you do. BUT, I only have 3 in full sized containers...about to get the 4th though.
Donna!! I missed this about your eye. I am so sorryHope it's better, but since you haven't been around I am worried that might not be the case....
Eye is better, but was still bad on Saturday. AND, my stupid neck and shoulders were excrutiatingly painful so I decided to NOT get on the computer at home (where my setup is not ergonomically correct, lol). When I was sick, I coughed so hard that I strained a muscle in my chest and head, and apparently threw something out in my left shoulder blade area. If it's not one thing it's another.
-
Wow, that really is a shocker!!!! I really liked how he did his song too.
-
That doesn't sound too good. It sounds like you may be getting a stye.
Yeah, it's been all day and it still feels like something is in there...my eye is actually really glassy, and almost feels like there is a film over it...NOT very attractive with ANY of my shades of eye shadow.
-
Okay, so who went home, lol? I didn't see the show last night and didn't record it.
-
Horrors of Horrors...I had to leave the house without eye makeup today!
It's true. Something happened to one of my eyes during the night I guess...woke up feeling like some big gob of something was in there, but there isn't anything there. It's still red and watery and still feels like something is there. I figured since it would all just wash off anyway there wasn't any sense in wasting my precious Ginger Peach, lol.
Donna...what's wrong with you!?You mean, you don't LIKE inflicting pain upon yourself! LOL! I understand, I don't like doing the shots either...but I do get an "A" for effort from my Dr.
He was shocked I'm still doing them! LOL!
You know, it isn't really even so much the pain, although that is certainly not a favorite thing of mine, lol, but it's more that I think I'm going to kill myself with it.
I really need to organize my train case, donna are you free this weekend lol. I have many colors that i have not even opened yet. Colors that i have opened but never used. I dont even have all the eye shadows together, blushes together and it is driving me nuts.Hubby said he is willing to buy me a train case that has the wheels lmao
!!!! I have just one thing to say...SPREADSHEET!
How about waffle cone? I think some on here have liked it. I have not ordered that yet.Yeah, I like waffle cone...I probably don't love it as much as some do, and definitely doesn't replace my favorites of Pink Ribbon and Nick Nack, but I do like it.
Paula, I wonder if they have one with wheels and a motor?!!! Yeah, motorized wheeled train case.
Heck, I've been thinking I should have got the Sephora one after all...I thought it was so HUGE when I looked at it again, but sheesh, these full sized containers are huge and I had to do major reorganization to get half of them to fit in. Wouldn't be so bad if I could decide on only ONE or TWO foundation colors, but I've got full sized containers of 3 so far and I'm going to order another one on my next order.
I told him it was even more unbelievable that I actually need more. LOL!!!
-
I haven't tried natural yet...I've been wondering about it, but the color swatch on the website is kind of grey, lol. I'm hoping the new website will have better swatches.
-
Yeah, I keep checking every day to see if there is a new website, lol.
Is there a new color, or did I miss something??Thanks for posting the news...I hadn't seen that one yet.
No new color...she's referring to my avatar caption, lol.
-
Donna, I tried the orangy blush this morning to, and it is very very subtle, i kept adding layers hoping it would get somewhat dark lol. Then when i addded my finishing dust it got lighter then before lol. But it is very pretty, im glad we both decided to try it out lol
Yeah, it's actually quite pretty...so far hasn't changed colors and it's been about 4 hours, so that's good.
-
Jess, that's what I thought!
-
Oh, looks like I missed Carla's birthday...her REAL birthday, lol!
Happy Belated Birthday Carla!!
-
Howdy everyone...been really busy at work so that cuts into my posting time...grrrr!
So, Summer Stroll...it's VERY orange in the jar, but I decided that before I mixed it with the Light Peach blush I should try it. When I got home yesterday, I tried just a little bit on my cheek, and it actually looked very nice...a LOT more subtle than I would have imagined, so this morning I was brave and actually wore it to work. It really is very subtle. Now, the main test will be whether or not it gets more orange as the day goes on, but for now it's a really nice color! Shock and awe, lol!
Ordering stuff!!!Still trying to work out the foundation, and a girl can never have too many eyeshadows.
LOVE your avatar! Very pretty eyes!
Fun order!! I am REALLY loving the Sunkissed Fair foundation! I think this may have replaced golden fair as my favorite shade!
Thank you Julie. I am actually feeling almost human today....
BTW, my GI just gave me a prescription for a B12 nasal spray. He says it works as well as the shots and I only have to use it once a week. I haven't filled the prescription yet. He said I can do which ever I want. I will try it when I feel a little better.
I'm so glad you are feeling better!!!
The B12 spray sounds great...I'm going to ask my doctor about them...I'm giving myself B12 shots (or supposed to be, lol), but I'm having a HARD time giving them to myself and it's such a hassle to go in to get the shots. I was doing sublingual B12, but my doctor thought that wasn't good enough so I'm on the shots.

Thanks for the info!
My sleep has improved slightly since I've started the neurotransmitter support supplements. I still wake up, but I tend to go back to sleep quickly...now if we can just find the issue that's causing the neurotransmitters to be out of balance I'll be happy, lol.

Hi everyone...I am sooo busy at work that I don't know if I can ever get caught up! Just wanted to say hi!
-
I wonder why they didn't ship your soap? Was on back ordered or being discontinued or just a mistake?
...
Found out why my energy has slipped - I'm extremely deficient in both my ferriton stores and vitamin D. I went to the health food store for liquid supplement of both today. Hope they work.\
They discontinued a couple of the soaps recently.
I'm glad you figured out the energy thing...hoping the supplements help! Vitamin D seemed to help me a lot.
No problem. Unfortunately I had the pain for over a week before the rash started, so we didn't know it was shingles until I broke out. They tell me that is a bad sign. I started the valtrex Saturday, but not calming down the pain any. The doctor called in a prescription for Lidoderm patches yesterday, which I can wear at night. That did help me sleep last night.I had broken out too I think...I'm really hoping the meds work for you.

I'm so out of the loop, lol. I haven't been watching at all since they stopped airing at 8:00...I guess I need to set my recorder so I can at least see the performances, lol.
