Ooooohhh, I just got handed a $25 AMEX gift card, lol. $25 could buy a lot at EM!
-
I want to chat!
Stupid work firewall!
Aw Kristina, I'm so sorry that happened to you! I don't know of much to do except drink lots of water, and not even sure that would really help.
-
The only time I can possibly miss a post is when I'm sleeping, lol. I hit "new posts" every few minutes while I'm at work.
-
I think that calls for a full face of EM, and possibly a one woman parade waving and smiling to all the neighbors!
You ARE the queen afterall!
-
Or maybe that mean old Sylvester had something to do with it!
-
Ooh goody, my new neurotransmitter supplements just came. CalmPRT sounds like something I need, lol.
-
Please don't blame Tweety for your reaction... I love that bird!
Never! It apparently was just what tweety was wearing that day.

Ok i made an chat room, if anyone wants the link then pm me, since im not sure who wants to be involved in chatting i dont want to pm everyone on the board lol, and i dont think i should post it here lol
Well, you can PM me the link, but I'm not sure how often I can visit. They have blocked chat rooms here at work (I've tried, lol) and at home I don't spend a LOT of time on the computer anymore, but may make an exception, lol.
Ok. Now I know why I have been having all these wierd symptoms. I just started my period! I get really wierd symptoms around that time. Doesn't make sense to me at all!I used to get HORRIBLE symptoms around my period. Awful! I absolutely HATED my period. Did I shout enough for ya'all, lol.
Paula, I left chat when that guy showed up.I kicked the freak out.Egads, new chat room and already a freak?!

OK - I changed the layout of my eyeshadow sampler because of the new colors they introduced yesterday. For now (maybe the next 5 minutes until I shuffle it again) it is:
I think our sampler is pretty close, lol. I just changed mine too...got rid of one kit and decided to incorporate them into the others, lol.
Me too! I really like how soft and smooth my skin is. The last couple of winters my skin has been really bad - too oily, which is how it is in the summer. But this winter, I'm loving how good my skin looks - even without make-up!!I DO think my skin looks a bit smoother...I still have the remnants of a breakout from Christmas, but once those are completely gone it'll look pretty darned good.

Thanks Birdy, that was interesting...I know that all my levels were off, I think copper was one of them, but can't remember if it was high or low...I think they had me supplementing it for a while, so I'm thinking low.
I found this interesting (from your second link) because of my adrenal problem:
Adrenal insufficiency: The Major Cause of Copper Toxicity
Although there are numerous reasons for the prevalence of copper toxicity, the most important cause is adrenal gland insufficiency. Individuals with adrenal insufficiency are unable to utilize copper properly. The reason for this is that copper can only be utilized in the body if it is attached to a protein substance for transport and storage.
The major protein that copper is attached to is called ceruloplasmin. Ceruloplasmin is a protein which binds copper so that it can be utilized in biochemical reactions.
When the adrenal glands are underactive, they are unable to send out a message to the liver to release ceruloplasmin from the liver and, therefore, copper becomes biounavailable.
As a result of excessive tissue storage of biounavailable or unbound copper, a deficiency of available copper occurs, even when dietary intake of copper is more than adequate. The result may be a craving for foods high in copper, such as chocolate, avocados, etc. The other result is multiple bodily dysfunctions as a direct or indirect result of copper imbalance.

Here comes the rain!
Today's storm is supposed to be a big one...they predicted (on one channel I happened to pass by) that it would hit around 10:00...not too far off...and storm until 7:00 tonight. I promised to go to choir tonight, now I'm wishing I hadn't, lol. Anyway, it's not too bad yet...the parking lot across the street is just wet, at least it doesn't look like a lake yet.
Donna, I don't know if this factors into the C or not, but you also mentioned last week that around the same time as these changes above you stopped taking the Pectasol productYes that's true too and I DID think about the pectasol, and actually considered about ordering more today, lol. Dang stuff is SOOOO expensive and I took it for over a year, but I think it does help and at the very least it's a natural fiber supplement without taking something like benefiber.
~~~~
Ooops, in the time it took to type this it started raining a bit harder, lol.
Oh no, is this grounds for dismissal from the cult?!?!?!
No, no...once you are part of the cult there IS no going back!
You COULD always do what I did on Sunday...just put the makeup on to play with it. I didn't even leave the house.
Thanks for the info Laura!
I had it in my esophagus and throat again this time around and I hate that, it's so scary. I keep my epipen close and pray that it doesn't close up, I don't want to go to the ER!!...
So, if all continues like this I might have beat this angioedema thing and it could very soon be a thing of the past for me
Wow, that throat thing really scares me for you! I so hope that all continues like it is then!
I just started taking my Vit D again...my LLMD was kind of shocked that I wasn't on it anymore.
I have an appt with a new practitioner on Sat. I had emailed The Better Health Guy and he gave me a recommendation. She does ART, LED, hair analysis, and a bunch of other things.YAY!!!!! I can't wait to hear about the appointment! Scott is just the nicest guy!
Forgetting the magnesium would explain the C. It helps with regularity. That might be your trouble! How long have you been forgetting it? Was it just this week? Or, was it around the time the C started?
Well, the C started when I stopped the Humaworm. I think the magnesium helps so that it's not as bad, but I really think the Humaworm killed off whatever it was that caused the D in the first place! So basically, I stopped the Humaworm the day after Christmas and I've had C since then. I stopped the magnesium the week I finished the Humaworm because during that last week, I felt like the magnesium was giving me issues, but then I forgot to start the liquid version I have. I finally remembered to take that last week, but only three days...during those three days I was more regular, and no issues with it.
Here's a link to an article about the CD57 test, if it doesn't open to the correct page, the article is on page 8:
Donna - can't beleive your age!!
I was thinking you look my age from your piccie
I can't believe it either!
I am a big kid at heart, so I think that helps, lol. I'll be 53!
-
The C.D57 test just measures the amount of certain "killer" (I think that's it, lol) cells...it's a useful tool which some doctors like to use. On the OMG thread, for those of us who have had the test done, it seems to accurately correspond with how bad our symptoms were. That isn't always the case I think, but several of us had the test done and at least with those on the thread, it accurately corresponded. Those who had the lowest number were having the most problems with the symptoms. I think I had one of the highest readings at 84. Most doctors like to see a score of at least 160 I think.
The Igenix testing will be the western blots, which will test for lyme.
-
OMG! I think I just found a dr! The lady on lymenet that told me about that other dr that didn't sound good to me sent me this info. It's an MD that is "integrated" and treats metals, lyme & co-infections, ect. He can do iv chelation, labs, all that! I went on his website and it felt much more my style.....Anyway, I have an appointment on THURSDAY!
YAY!!!! That's great!
-
How in the world am I ever going to rid my body of metals if I can't deal with detoxing? I am just not sure where to go now??? or what to do?
Everytime I try and detox something gets all wappy jawed inside and it just doesn't work. If metals are the root cause and I can't get rid of them.....then what?
This is the main reason my LLMD isn't rushing into chelation or treating the lyme aggressively. He was very pleased that I had already been going to BioSET when I came to see him, but he also knows I'm still exposed to the mold and that as long as I am, my body will not handle the treatments well--it will overwhelm my body. The first thing we did in BioSET was to clear all the pathways that I would need for my body to detox on its own. Both the BioSET practitioner and my doctor then started supplementing me with things to support all that and the detox pathways. Unfortunately, I can't remember what I was taking for what.
It's frustrating because I just want to get rid of it all, but I'm trying to trust him on this one.
-
Joni,
yes, that's probably true.
I do have an angled blush brush, and that's what I was using before I got the long handled kabuki. I loved that too, lol.
-
I have been reading along with your makeup "cult"
and I decided to post (although I thought I posted a while ago but now I can't find it...).
I use presvriptives and I have no idea if it's gluten-free or not...never bothered to check.
I ordered a little sample kit of this stuff a while ago, used it once and didn't like it, so I stopped. BUT, I don't think I gave EM a fair chance.
I got:
Swimming Pool
Mint
Sunkisssed Fair (matte)
Light (matte)
Sandy Medium (matte)
I think the reason I didn't like them is because I didn't use a good brush. Can anyone suggest a brush that I could get at bloomingdales (got a gift card
)
Hey Kassandra, for beginning mineral application, one like this might be good (I have something like this from Bare Minerals):
I currently use something like this (but it's a True Mineral brush):
The premium foundation brush at Everyday Minerals is pretty good, but I think it's a little harder to use than the thicker, softer brushes, especially if you aren't used to mineral makeup. I think it gives a little thicker coverage.
It really takes some 'playing' around with the makeup to learn what works best for you.No truer words were ever spoken, lol!
Egads, busy night!
Ha, rollerskating...if you ever want to see something truly amazing, just watch me rollerskating.
I can only go one direction. Forward. I can't stop, I can't go backward...only forward. To stop I have to crash into a wall or a person.
:lol: If I fall, I might as well just sit there cuz I ain't getting up!
Kassandra,
Ohh, the DVD sounds good...maybe I'll check that out. Congratulations on finding one more piece to the puzzle!!! I was so excited when the blood tests confirmed lyme because it meant we could try to fix it...you can't fix what you don't know.
Oh, and you can do what I did when I lived in Hawaii...still wear the cute outfit but just put on extra deoderant, lol.
Paula,
I think a lot of time RA is misdiagnosed lyme.
Carla,
72 degrees!!!
Wow, lol.
April,
Wow, only IV abx...I agree with Carla though, I try to feel him out yourself...could be true or it could just be what was true for that patient.
The Humaworm could definitely have stirred up something.
And, I also put off doing stuff...a few months ago I could hardly make a phone call at all. It's gotten better, but I still tend to put off the stuff that I don't want to deal with. I think for me it has to do with stress...it's stressful to deal with it, but in the end it's more stressful not to...I just have to keep my mind on that.
I definitely feel overwhelmed with it all...a good case in point...my carpet. It's overwhelming to me and I just can't seem to do anything about it.
Birdy,
I've been forgetting to take my magnesium...you're making me more resolved to take it, lol.
Rachel,
I believe it...one or two sips can buzz me for sure. Last week someone put chocolate cherries in the kitchen...now, this is one of my all time favorite holiday candies, so I decided to break my diet and have just one...it had alcohol in it, lol. The one stupid candy made me feel spacey for quite a while...could be the sugar, could be the alcohol or could be a combo of both, lol.
your little alien pet!
Jin,
your parents!!
Yeah, not only Mexico, but I spent 3 weeks in Guatemala...most of that in the jungles and travelling around to less populated and more rural areas. And let me tell you, some of what I ate couldn't be identified!
I ordered a cheeseburger, and the meat was DEFINITELY NOT hamburger, lol. My friend got really sick there...I did get sick too, but it was only for a day.
Then there was the Panama Canal trip in 2006...I must have been bitten by a dozen stupid hungry mosquitos just one morning while going through the canal...then in Jamaica, we went down the river on a raft...our raft "driver" gave us some fruit which he washed in the river. Probably not the smartest thing I ever did, but I ate it.
Susie,
Glad you have a phone consult coming up soon!
Nyxie,
I had a bone scan last year...I just went to a regular primary care provider (who I go to only for annual exams now, lol)...since I'm over 50, she ordered a scan for me without hesitation.
Yeah, see my comment above about being overwhelmed...if I have too much to deal with at one time, I just can't process it all and nothing gets done. I also have to go see a dermatologist. I had a spot on my arm that used to itch like crazy...there was a little brown spot there...a few years ago I showed it to a dermatologist and he burned it off with a laser. Darned thing just popped up again and is itching like crazy again, and the spot is back.
Stool testing!
Yes, very gross. I've had to do 3-4 in the last couple of years. Not fun at all.
I'll have to look for hemp milk...I know I didn't like the hemp shake powder I bought, but maybe I could handle the milk, lol.
-
That's interesting about the cross-reactivity with shea...I do seem to have a problem wtih shea, or at least I did.
I think we've determined that it was the bandaid not the shot. I had another B12 shot on Friday and so far no itching at all...we didn't put a bandaid on at all this time.
Donna, you mean there are still items you haven't purchased!! Come on girlfriend, chop, chop!
Amazing isn't it!?!?
They messed me up by adding new colors. Good new colors. And, new brushes. Stupid marketing plans, lol.
One BM blush is $18. I'm getting six blushes for that price.Smaller containers I"m sure...but more colors to play with
Okay, that makes ME feel better too, lol.
Pretty soon, there won't be a single color at least one of us hasn't tried.Unless they keep adding new colors...
I repeat...stupid marketing plan, lol.
I think they have a plan...and it's to keep changing products monthly so we have to place new orders monthly. Pretty smart marketing plan. Wish I owned stock in EM too!And again I say, stupid marketing plan, lol.
Do they have stock?!
Omg...i Might Be On To Something
I'm a slow typist though considering that my job is typing, lol. I tried to chat once with my little cousin...I was about 5 questions behind all the time...I finally had to tell her to STOP while I caught up answering.
