Yeah, well, maybe the toxins were in the junk.
Possibly, but then I do stuff like last night...spilled a HUGE glass of water on the carpet right by the sofa...methinks the mold will get me eventually.
-
Maybe you should retest the room to see if you cleaned out what was bothering you in there.
Um, I'm thinking NOT, lol!
When I say majorly cleaning I mean I picked up all the junk laying all over the floor and I vacuumed.
 That's majorly cleaning to me.
-
Carla, that is amazing news for both you and Chloe!!!!
-
Oh, my! I'm glad I just looked at my calendar ... my phone consult is today at 11:30, not tomorrow!
oooohhh, can't wait to hear about it.
-
Morning all. Well, I slept pretty well again last night. I'm going to test this out by having the same snack until around Wednesday or Thursday, then switch back to my regular snack of turkey and see what happens.
Jin,
Glad you got a nice talk with your grandmother!! Ha, yeah, I had to majorly clean my livingroom so I could put up decorations...that's what stopped me from decorating last year...I just didn't have the energy to do the cleaning. I'll PM you my email.
Quick update on my mom...Wow, sounds really uncomfortable! I'm so sorry she has to go through all of this anytime, but especially now!
I just got the best Hannukah gifts ever!!!! OMG!! I got a gel eye mask to help with sinus pain, headaches, etc. AND one of those bed pillow things that have little arms. It's great to sit in bed and use my laptop now in bed!!! YAY!!!Ooooh, sounds heavenly!
-
I figured it was kinda like Great Oogly Moogly! LOL!
Btw, hubby uses Egads! too.
Aw, great googly moogly reminds me of Cecile who used to post regularly on this thread, lol. I think I got Egads from Monte Python, lol.
Yeah...and that means I'm the ONLY person in the WHOLE world who's NOT staring in the toilet after bm's looking for "rice" and other foreign objects.
 Odd how this has just become part of my daily routine in the last year or so.
Well, I woke up at about 9.30 and then ate something and then got back in bed and just woke up again...it's 3 here. LOL! I think my hemoglobin must be dropping as we speak...lol!No, no, no, it must not happen!
I checked out the thread....Scott's got more doctors than anyone I know!!He sees everyone that I see...plus so many more! If only I had more $$.
Yeah, ain't that the truth, lol. I'm seeing a lot of them, but I'm way behind him, and slightly behind you.
My next addition I would like to be the LED doctor...I'll be contacting you at some point for that, lol.
-
Another thing with work......do you wake up thinking you may have missed the alarm, forgot to set it...whatever. That could disturb your sleep too.
Well, no, I double and triple check the alarm before I go to bed, lol. BUT, I do think about the fact that I DON'T have much time left before I have to get up when I wake up after midnight. That alone could probably do it, lol.
I'm feeling okay...not great, but not terrible. I think the party was just too much stimulation for me...lol!! What does EGADS mean?? I totally have no clue!Donna's been typing "EGADS" since the beginning of this thread...and I have no idea what shes trying to say. It's another word for "Holy Cow", lol. I didn't know exactly what it meant either, but it's most often used as an expression of surprise, lol. Kind of like shock and awe rolled into one.
-
Donna...I'm supposed to be going to Xmas in the Park with my ex...I dont know what day yet. I can assure you it wont be the 19th though.
That was our anniversary...if it werent for that I'd definately wanna go that night and see you sing!
OMGosh, lol!!! Shoot...the date was originally the 14th but they changed it at the last minute to the 19th! I just found out last night our group is singing all three songs we've rehearsed! That means now we have to scramble to get in a couple of more practices before the 19th. Well, maybe you can come next year...we have sung there every year for the last 6 or more years, but with the new choir director no one ever knows exactly what will happen.
Sorry to hear that the neck pain has gotten so much worse again. I do hope that part of it anyway is due to the stress you've been under lately.Yeah, I'm sure it has a lot to do with it. Stupid stress!
The IV is gonna take 2 hours though!! I think I better bring my music and some good magazines. Unfortunately, they dont allow cell phone use in the IV room.I think I can get away with texting though.
Yeah, don't want that new phone to go to waste.
I guess you caught that huh. Many of us probably caught that, lol.
Oh, hubby saw something that looked like rice todayYeah, I'm still seeing that too...yesterday saw something else weird, lol. We just won't tell your DH you posted about it, lol.
I always am at Church early, then I don't pay attention to everyone coming in. Well, last week my braces weren't affecting my playing too much, so I took the solo ... usually I let the piano player do it alone because of my braces. Anyway, afterward I looked around ... there was standing room only in the Church ... it seats 1500. Good thing I didn't look around before I played.
Yeah, that definitely would have freaked me out, lol. Fortunately I don't think I'll ever have to worry about solos again...the new choir director seems to pick the same people to do solos, and he can't remember my name, so I'm sure I'm safe.
Anyway, I emailed the nurse I bought the laser from to ask about the sleeping ... ever since I got it, I've slept with only half an Ambien. She said she's had similar results from others. She also said that there's a link on her website to Energy Essences which have a lot of natural sleep aides.Hum, interesting. I'm thinking half my problem is work.
I slept well again last night, and I really shouldn't have. I had a diet coke for lunch (I know, I know, lol), then I decided to stay last night and watch the whole program (I've been leaving right after I sing), so I didn't get home until much later...that usually throws off my sleep in some way, but I fell right to sleep and even though I woke up at 12:00, 3:00 and 4:00, I went back to sleep each time.
So two things are different about the last two nights. No work the next day is one, the second thing is that I've been having a different snack before bed. Last night and the night before, I've been having a nutrition bar with a protein/fat. It's called Think Green!, and Friday night I had it with a few cashews, and last night with a little macadamia nut butter. I was reading some info someone posted on the "low blood sugar during the night" thread that suggested a complex carb before bed. One of my HN doctors suggested snacking right before bed for the blood sugar issue, but I didn't find that it helped, but maybe because my snacks were mostly protein. So, I'll try the same snack tonight and see what happens...tomorrow is a work day, lol.
hi everyone...am reading along but not typing much as I am staying in bed due to my back problems. Apparently the Chinese massage was a little too hard...LOL. It is better this afternoon but I couldn't hardly get around this morning.Egads, hope the back is better soon!
Well I went to a party tonight and I guess I overdid it....I'll be in bed all day tomorrow...I can already tell. But I have a really sore throat and it feels almost like strep so my mom said if it's still bad tomorrow, we will call the Dr. I also had a low grade fever (99.0) earlier which is REALLY bad because it indicates infection with the PICC line.Glad the temp is back to normal...how are you feeling today?
Yes, I'm home until the end of the month. Yay!Yay!
-
No suggestions, just adding some hugs for both you and little Stinker!
-
Happy Birthday my friend!!!!

Carla,
I've had D for years now, and we still haven't figured out exactly what causes it. Most of my doctors have gone straight to the C.Diff thing, especially once they hear my antibiotic history, but none have ever found it. It's most likely bacterial for me. It's kind of funny because when I was young I always had C...now can't plug the stuff up.
I don't have any suggestions for your BIL other than what has been suggested already.
Does he take any supplements or medications? That's the other thing that I think helps mine along...I'm pretty sure one of my supplements makes things worse.
Kassandra,
Glad the flushing out went okay! And, I'm so glad you're keeping the LLMD appointment, and that you're mom seems more open to that idea. I'm really hoping your experience with him is as good as mine has been with mine. They tend to run a lot better tests than normal run of the mill doctors.
Those aren't ALL at Christmas in the Park are they?Pssssst what time on the 19th?
Nope only the 19th is at CIP. I'd love to tell you what time, lol, but I'm not sure anyone knows.
We've done 3 performances and 1 dress rehearsal and not ONE of them has been like any of the others. Every night he (the new head music guy) changes something. Leaves a song out, changes the order...last night he completely redid the whole first half. Completely. Sometimes we start late, sometimes on time.
Anyway, what I've heard is that we are scheduled by the CIP people from 8-9. What happens then is ANYONE's guess.
I only have to be there for 1 darned song, but have to stand close by because it could be put in at any point, and he may even have us do more than 1, and if he does, he probably won't tell us until 5 minutes before he wants us to sing it.
And ideas from the experts? What could cause such neck pain?We haven't found out why mine is so bad either. I'm pretty convinced it's lyme in my case though. Metals COULD be a contributing factor as well. Mine is there pretty much all the time, no matter what I do. Yesterday it was ESPECIALLY bad though...that's why I left work early.
I've found that the heat only helps slightly and is really just temporary anyway. Sometimes I just lay on the couch with my electric heating pad on for hours...feels good while it's on there.
If I had to guess, I'd say my neck has been this way for at least the last 6 years. Physical therapy has helped to keep it down, but it doesn't go away. I got prolotherapy shots for several weeks...that helped a bit too, but again, it didn't take it away, and the pain seems back to where it was before I did the injections.
-
Sounds like the stress is really disrupting things right now. When's your performance?
Just about every night this week.
Tuesday was dress rehearsal, Wednesday was the first performance, then last night, tonight, tomorrow afternoon and Sunday afternoon. We perform once more on the 19th at night.
I'll be going home early today. My neck is KILLING me today, so I asked my boss if I could leave when my co-worker gets here at 1:00. She said yes, so I'll go home for a little while, relax with my warmy bags on my neck and see if that helps calm everything before I have to go out again. Not having to work tomorrow will probably help too.
-
Mia, I can't believe your C.D57 score went DOWN!!! It was 26 before!
-
I would think the humaworm is killing off stuff and causing the flare ups.
I guess that's a good and a bad thing at the same time.
You see Doc S in 1 1/2 weeks so maybe he'll have an answer and be able to put you on something to help more.
Sorry about the insomnia.
I don't know how you guys function without much (or very interrupted sleep).
Yep, I'm going to ask Dr. S for some ambien. I'll only take it for weeks like this where I KNOW I have stuff going on every night or had several nights in a row where I haven't slept, and on Tuesday nights after ensemble rehearsal. I'm getting home from our performances around 8:15, but since I go to bed at 9:00, I'm thinking it is just late enough to disturb my regular patterns. But it's also been so stressful at work and the whole performance thing is stressful because it's really DISORGANIZED and for some other issues with the choir as well!
The burning skin does sound like a flare...I also plan to ask Dr. S about the cholestyramine to help with getting rid of the toxins.
Donna,I can't imagine not sleeping for any length of time. Read what I said to Carla. My sleep isn't great again, but it's definitely been better since the PICC line was put in.
Sheesh, maybe I need to lose a little blood, lol. Seriously though, I WAS sleeping better until this week, so I'm hoping it's just the stress and that maybe after this week I'll get a little closer to the way it was (i.e., I was waking up several times a night, but falling back to sleep rather quickly, even after getting up to go to the bathroom).
-
Kassandra,
OMGosh, YAY for the nurse giving it to the insurance company.
It just never ceases to amaze me! They won't pay for preventative care, but end up paying out MORE money when something goes wrong.
I'm glad the PICC line flush didn't hurt!
Your fudge ball recipe sounds great. I may try it some day, but like Carla, I have to be mindful of the mold thing, so it may be a while.
I get my braces OFF Feb. 7th, did I already post that? Can't help it if I did. LOL.YAY!!!!
Birdy,
Yay on the energy...can I have some, lol!
Carla,
Uggg, I'm back to NOT sleeping. This was the third night in a row that I've awaken and not been able to get back to sleep. Last night it was midnight. At about 1:00 I got up and took more sublingual liquid melatonin, but that did nothing. I think I dozed off finally around 3:30...I have to get up at 4:00, so didn't do me much good, lol. Stupid insomnia.
Stupid work.
Stupid bugs.
Sherry,
Sorry you're down with your back...hope you can travel in comfort!
I've been on the Humaworm for 11 or 12 days now. Yeah, I've been trying to think what ingredient in the Humaworm could cause this...my digestive tract is definitely up in arms about something. While I'm laying there in the middle of the night my intestines are really noisy and I have that intense burning in my stomach area. I also have a lot of gas during the later part of the day.
I have also had a return in the last 3 days of the really bad sunburn feeling all over my skin. I haven't had much of this for the last 3-4 months and when I do it's usually just a small spot, but in the last 3 days, the burning skin has been really bad and it's all over my body. Hurts when my clothing touches my skin.
My doctor said this is a lyme symptom, but I've also heard it connected to metals and to molds, lol. The humaworm could be killing stuff off that affect any one or more of those things, lol.
-
Nope, not yet. I paid by check so I expect mine will take a bit longer so they can see if my check is good.
-
In other big news, hubby and I are settling on our first house tomorrow.
Woohoo! Congratulations! Moving is a pain, but in some ways it's great (if you can do what I CAN'T seem to anymore...get rid of stuff, lol).
I'm betting on the bananas for the upset. I can't eat too many bananas too close together.
I hope it's not h pylori.How would you know.....
I'd have to get retested again.
I'm not sure which doctor I will see first...if my results have come in for my Neurosciences testing, then I'll probably see the HN doctors (for new posters, this is a medical clinic that Rachel first told me about shortly after I joined this thread). They are the one who tested me for it last time. Anna (for all you new posters...this is the same Anna that Rachel spoke of, lol) also did a retest several months ago, but I don't see her again until January...so it might come down to Dr. S, lol. I see him on the 17th.
It was only $200! Considering how expensive some of these treatments are, that seemed CHEAP! It doesn't do the LED stuff, but it does a lot. I'm excited about being able to do it on my own ... I can Rachel it, LOL.That's true though. Sheesh, I've spent a fortune on all these treatments. I would like to try the LED first though. Maybe after the first of the year. Every little thing I can do at home would benefit the whole.
I am going in today at 1.45 for the nurse to teach me how to take care of this crazy thing! My mom of course had a deposition today at 12.00, so she can't be there, but my grandpa will be there.Yay, I'm so glad you got in! I've read about the flushing on LN...yet another thing that scares me, lol.
Today is the day last year that I got my IGeneX results. Boy, I've come a long way, huh? At this point I was taking vitamin C, salt, samento, and noni ... I did not see my LLMD until Jan. 20th and I started abx that very day.WOW, that's amazing...it seems like it just happened!
What do you look for in a good brand of chlorella? Anything specific like where it's sourced from, etc??I know this, but I can't remember.
Seriously.
I just remember a couple of brand names being mentioned on a couple of websites as good brands, so I bought one of them, lol. The one I was taking from Anna was $25 for a bottle that only lasted a week. I'm paying around $38 for a box at WF but that lasts me for several weeks.
-
Sorry, forgot to add, that I USED to get shakey during the day if I went too long without eating (too long was more than a couple of hours, lol), and I'd kind of zone out. I was certain it was my blood sugar. I didn't have the specific test that was mentioned here, and maybe I should actually, but I did do an at-home test with a monitor (where you take samples at certain times of the day while fasting or after/before certain meals), and all except one reading was in the acceptable range.
-
I have something similar. I don't get shakey though, but, in fact, the last two nights I've awaken at 1:30 and 2:00 in the morning with an intense burning hunger. I can't get back to sleep, and I know that if I went downstairs and ate something the burning would go away. Last night I even ate a couple of turkey slices about 40 minutes before bed thinking that might help if it WAS hunger...it didn't, lol.
This hasn't happened to me in several months...it used to happen frequently up until then. In my case, I think this was related to H.Pylori. It stopped after I did the treatment for it and hasn't happened at all since then until now. I'm also taking a lot of supplements at the moment, and have started some new ones in the last couple of weeks, so I'm actually hoping it might be that and NOT the H.Pylori.
-
They just told me to wear something comfortable and easy to get in and out of. I wore sweats and slip on shoes (flip flops, lol).
My throat was very slighly sore, so yeah, something easy to eat was good...although I was so hungry after the first endoscope/colonoscopy that I had a nutrition bar on the way home, lol.
I agree that eating wheat the day before won't accomplish much if you haven't regularly been eating it.
-
Bad news, it's looking like I'm not going to be able to start the IV's until friday. It feels like I am NEVER supposed to get these iron IV's...lol! There has been so much craziness with all of this, it is amazing to me. Grr.
Will it never end?! I agree with Carla though...each of us has been there. A year ago almost all of us were at that stage where we were frustrated with how slow progress seemed to be, and here we are, many of us feeling MUCH better. You'll definitely get there!
I swear, a miracle happened, at this point Mom's listening to me and very seriously considering anibiotics.WOW!!!! HOORAY!!!!!! This is MAJOR!!
It sat out of the fridge for more than 2 weeks. So I am taking it, but who knows if it is still actually good????Yikes! Gosh, hope it's okay.
I think he herxed on the Augmentin. I talked to my PA back then, she thought he sounded likely to have it, too. He never even finished all the Augmentin ...Augmentin, my old friend.
Its really amazing to me! I hope things continue to improve. It's amazing to me too! I'm so very excited and happy for you!!! I thank you from the bottom of my heart for turning ME on to all your doctors, lol!!!
One thing I have learned over the years is that if I am focused on getting over the next mountain all the time, I don't stop and enjoy the current mountain-top and celebrate that I made it this far. It keeps me frustrated, anxious, burdened and restless.I LOVE this...I have a quote in my signature on another website that is similar...it reads: The sudden precious moments in life need to be recognized for the unique periods they are, not wasted by wishing for something else. Edith Schaeffer
Hard NOT to wish for something else when you're feeling like crud, but yeah, I try to keep this in mind on my worst days, lol.
The u/s yesterday was interesting and kinda fun.Hum, well, kinda fun is interesting.
 Glad it went well, lol.
I got my laser yesterday! Open Original Shared LinkSo, I lasered for muscluo/skeletal in the afternoon, and organs/structures in the evening before bed. Last night I took half of my Ambien, then didn't wake up till 6AM! It was too late to take the other half, but I fell back asleep anyway. This is the first time this has happened in MONTHS! I always wake up about 3AM and take the other half!
Do you think it's a coincidence? I guess I'll see if it continues tonight. Normally if I can't take the other half, I lie there awake until I get up no matter how long it is.
Okay, I can't wait to hear if the trend continues. I really want to do the laser treatments too (although will probably NOT get one myself, lol)...Gosh, if it could help me sleep that would be fantastic.
I've been sleeping pretty well since starting the supplements for the neurotransmitters, but this week I've been waking up at 1:00 again and can't get back to sleep. This week is our Christmas "musical". We've had practice or performances every night this week and that will continue through Sunday.
That may be what upset the balance, or it could be because of the Humaworm...when I wake up, I have the intense burning hunger that I used to feel...it may be the Humaworm or my H.Pylori may be back.
I'm leaning more towards the Humaworm though...I think it's just killing of the buggers and I'm probably not detoxing enough, so my liver is working harder. (My doc says that's the prime time for the liver to detox). Whatever, it's not hunger, lol, because I had two slices of turkey about 40 minutes before I went to bed last night just to see if that would help--still woke up at 2:00 and couldn't go back to sleep and still had the intense burning hunger type feeling.
-
OK all you girly-girls. This stuff is hard.
It IS hard, lol. I am Italian/hispanic with a touch of Polish, lol. I have very dark brown hair and dark brown eyes...I've always thought my skin was olive, but on the lighter side. Going by that I should take a medium color, but in the BE line, I actually take one of the lightest shades of foundation. So, for my three color choices I picked one of the lightest shades in three different categories.
When I was trying to decide on my sample kit for the everyday, I spent probably 30 minutes just trying to figure out what shades to order, lol. I'll just have to wait until I receive them to see if I made the correct choices, lol.
-
Yeah, my mom won't go get tested for celiac either. It was funny because a couple of weeks ago at lunch, we were talking, and she said: "Yeah, I can't eat oatmeal or barley anymore...it gives me digestive issues." I just gave her the look, and she said "I know what you're thinking."
She still won't get tested. She has MANY of the same issues I do.
The hospital bracelet wasn't waterproof? Seems like I showered like normal when I was in the hospital after having babies ....Yeah, I'm thiking it's the other stuff too. I really didn't want to start it again anyway, lol.
Nope, the bracelet was like a plastic sleeve, there was a paper insert with my info on it. There was a seam on the back side of the bracelet, but I don't that that was completely sealed...I think it was just folded over a few times. The ends of the bracelet had the "buckle" hardware, but I could see the end of the plastic/insert and the end wasn't sealed, lol. The nurse told me not to get it wet.
The few drops of water that got in, actually smeared the ink on some of the info. I think they've got better bracelets now. That surgery was in 2001, and I had another surgery at the same hospital in 2006, and the bracelet was all plastic (I think, no insert anyway) for that second one.

I ordered my samples yesterday. I've been a Bare Minerals girl for many years, but my face is getting really sensitive, and started to break out. I've been trying True minerals, but my face is breaking out after only a few months, so I'm really excited to try the Everyday Minerals

THAT'S GREAT NEWS KASSANDRA!!!! You have to bring your own supplies?!?!?!? Egads, lol!
