  1. The official website is: Open Original Shared Link Another one is: Open Original Shared Link It's, with few exceptions, no sugar (unless from fruit) and no grains, no starch, meaning, not even rice or potatoes or any exotic grains out there that a lot of gluten free foods use instead of gluten. Nada. Look at the legal/illegal list.
  2. Oh yeah, another question. Is anyone loosing or gaining weight on this diet? I seem to stay the same, so far at least. Just curioius.
  3. Hi Donna, I know what you're talking about when you said all of the acidopholis had bad ingrediants in it. I found one, the pearls that said they were free of everything, but it didn't say free of starch. But in the inactive ingrediants, it didn't list anything bad. The brand is Enzymatic Therapy, it's the acidopholis pearls. Also, I didn't know there...
  4. Donna, thanks for warning me. You're right, I hear pancakes and I drool at the thought of soft spongie buttery syrupy carbs. But I love bananas too, so I'm sure I would like it anyway. So, I don't know about you guys, but I haven't gone a day without TONS of carrots since a week and a half ago when I started the diet. And they don't bother me at all ...
  5. Good! Then you're on the diet pretty much! I'm sure it will help.
  6. Good idea with the pancakes!!! I haven't looked at the recipes too much because I feel better right now adding things in one at a time. But if all you used was eggs and bananas......well, I might be able to do something like that. (no eggs though)......and I'm no chef either, but if they taste good, I don't care how pretty they turn out! And Laura, def...
  7. Hey check this out. I was just searching around and this is what I came up with: Open Original Shared Link Pretty interesting because it is Elaine herself answering questions that we have.
  8. I had a bad reaction to cooked carrots that were 'moldy?' Well, I don't know if they were moldy. They looked okay, but they were kinda slimy and smelled like someone's stinky feet! YUCK! LOL Well, I ate tons of them because I was starving of course, coming home from work and I didn't realize how bad this would be for me until I was like halfway done!...
  9. Thanks, but the thing is, I don't have 'D' I have 'C' but the raw stuff still makes me very gassy to the point of being very uncomfortable. I couldn't sleep that well because my back, stomach and chest hurt again. And of course I woke up with a huge stomach.
  10. Thanks guys. Does anyone know about how long until we can eat fruit and veggies raw? I don't want to mess this up again. I was feeling so good. And that's a good idea, to juice the fruit as it's not being eaten because I hate when my fruit goes bad! And I boil the apples. It comes out tasting like the apples in an apple pie! So good! Oh also, I've...
  11. okay guys.....I added apples in this week and it was going great until yesterday, I had them raw, along with raw carrots, and last night and this morning, my stomach and back, etc. are all killing me again. Today I'm doing no fruits and tomorrow and from now on, it's only cooked. I thought maybe I could handle it because I don't have "d" but I guess it's...
  12. It makes so much sense to me, it's not even funny! hahah....no, really though. Since I have started this diet, I have not had ANY gas! okay, seems like a little thing, but obviously, it's because things are running more smoothly when I eat. And the bloat is gone. And the pains that go along with being so tight and bloated (back aches, stomach aches, chest...
  13. Laura, hah, that's what I figured, but the instructions in the book were so confusing because it said 'strain the soup.....puree the carrots, then return back to broth!' And I was like, well if you strain the chicken and the soup, where's the broth? You just drained the soup! hahaha....... Anyway everyone, my soup turned out AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm going...
  14. I know, I never paid attention either. I thought I could always use regular old chicken soup, maybe broth, and maybe throw some extra noodles in there! ahah.....we should all be amazing cooks after this year, huh? In the book it even gives recipes for candy! Crazy. I never thought I would have the need to MAKE candy, when it's at every store in the world...
  15. I thought chocolate was illegal and should be eliminated all together for the whole year...even cocoa powder.
  16. Another question. I'm making the chicken soup today in a crockpot, but where do I get the broth from? Is it naturally made from the carrots and chicken and water? I don't understand though because it says 'strain the soup....puree the carrots........return to broth' If I'm straining the soup, where is the broth? I've never cooked anything before all of...
  17. That's what I was thinking because I used to literally live on rice cakes. Like have 1 and a half bags everyday, let alone rice cereal, potatoes, etc. etc. Everything I ate was with rice. Rice milk. So, I've been on the diet since Thursday. Hopefully it goes away soon! But at least my stomach feels better!!!
  18. haha, true, thanks. I already threw it out.
  19. I have a question. (What else is new, right? ) Well, I got the book yesterday, finally, so today I am adding apples in, cooked only because I tried a raw one first and it made my chest hurt and feel really tight. Anyway, she doesn't really expalin how this adding in of foods should go. Someone else on here posted and said they add one on Monday and...
  20. Haha, I know Rachel...I am getting better actually. My stomach doesn't hurt at all this morning! That's a huge thing right now! Of course, I'm not expecting to feel 100% better right away, but I just know that when I took gluten out, within 24 hours, I felt an automatic change for the better. I guess I expected that. But obviously, gluten wasn't my whole...
  21. I completely agree with you. Look at the SCD diet for example. Elaine's daughter was going to die, or have to walk around with a bag for her waste the rest of her life because the 'conservative' doctors said that there were no other options. Well, there was, and it's also saved a lot of other people's lives. I'm on the intro. diet for SCD right now, and...
  22. Okay, so I'm on the intro. diet, and maybe a little bit better, but my stomach is def. not where it should be. I'm still really bloated and yesterday I had 'D' but today I haven't gone at all! Also, my lower back hurts, I guess from being so tight and bloated. Anyway, this is my second day on it. We are supposed to stay on the intro. diet for 3-5 days, right...
  23. Matilda, I know what you mean. When I told him about enterolab and how my tests came back positive, he made me feel like it meant nothing at all and right after he made his comment on it, I felt like I was sent back to square one, and pretty hopeless. This was before he looked at my biopsies of course, because he had to get that info. from my old doc. But...
  24. I was reading the different letters of thanks written to Elaine on the SCD website, and from what I understand, these people are living on the diet for the rest of their lives...I don't mind, because my health comes before everything now, after all of this, but is this true? Of course, I'll never have gluten again, but what about chocolate. I know that and...
  25. Thanks for the advice. So, Dr, Green actually never heard of enterolab when I went to see him! I don't remember for sure if he said 'I've never heard of that.' or if he just acted like that was a foreign lab to him, but he def. didn't say much about it. I was reading excerpts from his book the other day in the book store, and I don't know if I like...
