ARCHIVED Really Quick Question....what Is The Strongest

Well Patti, I hope you get some answers soon. It sounds like you're in the same boat as me these days. I have so many intolerances, and I'm starting to worry they will never end! I really hope this dietician can help me. She said she has worked with other Celiacs before, so I'm hoping that she'll know exactly how to go about this so I can really heal my gut... -
ARCHIVED Really Quick Question....what Is The Strongest
danikali replied to danikali's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Thanks Patti. Well, yeah, for the past two weeks I'm having tons of problems. I'm finally seeing the dietician tonight. I'm excited because I really need help with food over here with all of the intolerances. I wouldn't say this all started going gluten-free because when I eat the right foods, I don't have this problem at all. But my diet has been very... -

ARCHIVED Really Quick Question....what Is The Strongest

Hi, I am having tons of gastritis problems right now and every strong medicine that I see on the gfdrug list I downloaded from this website is not on there! I usually use pepto, but that doesn't seem to work anymore. What do you use? My symptoms are not 'D.' They are chest pains, some stomach, rib and back pains. My insides are very acidic right now.... -
would mangos? because i had no problems with them. what other foods that you know of, so maybe i should stay away.

Okay, well at least I'm not crazy and it could be the bananas. The rice cakes I always eat are Lundberg and they are always safe for me. I eat them everyday when I'm feeling sick and they usually help. Well, lately I've noticed bananas are bad for me, so I guess I'll stay away from now. It's just interesting that the things that are supposed to be the SAFEST...

Hi, well, I've been having tons of stomach issues these past few weeks. Yesterday all I ate was applesauce, mangos, rice cakes and a piece of salmon and my stomach didn't hurt at all. It was bloated still, but no pain. This morning I woke up and had a banana and some rice cakes. Do bananas bother anyone? Because I thought that they helped a bad stomach...

I love all of the ways you guys describe it. I just say I look like I'm 6 months pregnant! I normally weigh (when my stomach is the way it's supposed to be) like 117lbs. And when I get on the scale when I'm bloated (even in the morning before I eat) I'm like 7lbs heavier! Although I feel like I've gained 20! And yes, when I'm like this, I wear bigger clothes...

Rachel, I'm soooooooooooooooo sorry that you've been going through all of this! I mean, we are all sick on here, but from what I've read, you have had the worst case senario that I can think of, or that I know of. And you're positive about everything! I need to be more like you! So, from what I understand, you're doctor told you that yes, we all have...

ARCHIVED Member Poll - Who Abstains From Other Foods Besides Gluten?
danikali replied to Jeepster's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Okay, I know this is an old old post, but I was just reading through it and didn't realize that you were asking me a question! I'm so sorry.. So, first, I did enterolab, which showed gluten sensitivity. Then I had blood drawn with a different GI and it came back negative. She also did the biopsy which she said was negative until Dr. Green looked at it... -
Okay, of course, I'm in so much pain today, and that only makes me worry more when I read certain things. As far as these infections go, don't we all have them because we keep noticing different intolerances? I mean, they are like never ending! So, my question is, if we don't find a doctor who can give us medicine for these infections, then how the hell are...

Okay Rachel, I couldn't wait anymore, I'm listening to this online recording of biohealth and I hope no one tells me to turn it off..... Anyway, so far, he isn't really talking about other food intolerances. For example, let's say your doctor gets rid of the infections that you have and you are obviously gluten free, but you have other food intolerances...

That was such a GREAT explanation! Rachel, you should become a doctor, A GOOD ONE, like the one you have right now! And you can specialize in Celiac disease and gluten intolerance and really help get the word out there that this is serious, and it's complicated, but there is hope, and this is what you do. Thank you very much! Now I need to find a good...

Hi, Yes, I've had a food diary now for about a month and a half. I'm seeing a dietician on Tuesday, and I also met a wonderful lady on this forum who is helping me out. So I will see how that goes. Thank God I'm getting the truth about this Candida diet before I start one myself. I'd really like to maintain my weight and it would only make me more...

Thanks so much Rachel. I will have to listen to that when I get home from work. I can't really listen to it while I'm at work....it's a quiet law firm and it wouldn't be appropriate to have headphones on at my desk... I had school last night so I didn't get a chance, but I am DEF. going to tonight. So, how is this doctor treating your C-diff...

Thanks for your input Holly and Rachel. The yeast infection or whatever that was is gone. Mabye because I took monistat? Rachel, thanks for all of the information. I live in NYC, so I'm going to see if there is a Biohealth lab in my area. I know that everyone is different, but may I ask how you knew that you weren't going to get better on the strict...

Rachel, thank you by the way for always being so helpful and informative! Anyway, so what kind of doctors do the kind of tests that could find infections like the one that you have? It sounds like you have a special kind of doctor who doesn't just go to med. school and stick with the information in the old books he's read 20 years ago! where do I find...

Good information! Well, I am sure my underlying problem is Celiac disease, (possibly casein intolerance?) and I am sure that I have a problem with Candida. I know that when I have sugar (like candy) or any kind of processed foods, I get really bad stomach problems. Then I go back to eating plain whole foods, and I get better. So, I am positive that I...

Well thanks for the good information! I knew that you shouldn't have sex because it could make your infection worse, but I didn't know I could pass it onto him with no symptoms only to get it back again! So more questions I have are: 1. Can a yeast infection give you pink discharge. Its the same texture as a regular yeast infection, it's just pink...

Actually, it's perfect that this thread is up. I'm actually having problems with what I believe is a yeast infection, but it's not like it normally is. Okay, this is going to get gross. Well, I know if you have a yeast infection, you can get discharge that is thick and white like cottage cheese or something. Well, I have this, except it is also pink...

Thanks guys! I finally got my home computer working again. There was a virus on it and we finally had time to take it in, so now I can chime in on the weekends! Anyway, Rachel, you're soooooooooo right. That was my problem. I would be good for a week or two and then assume that I could go back to the other foods!!!!!!! (besides gluten of course)....
