  3. Judy I havn't had then x-rayed yet, my rheumatologist sort of 'dismissed' it as irrelevant as he was more interested in the Fibro, hypermobile joints, shoulder impingement and tennis elbow at the time. Pain clinic were more interested in keeping me full of amytriptyine (+ 20lb) Physio just wanted to tell me off for poor back posture! I'v just had a...

I had similar noise from my neck for years...

  6. I also have brain fog. I had to stop working. It started 2 years ago along with the Fibromyalgia, inability to stay asleep at night. Although I have had odd health problems Ibs, chronic pain, since I was a baby. 9. My daughter has just been dx dyslexic and she is a lot better gluten-free than she was before. She seems able to concentrate more now and has less visual disturbance when reading. We both have terrible short term memory problems, messy bedrooms!, It did actually say on her Assessment ' can be forgetful and her ability to maintain concentration is poor. this...
  10. It just so happens that I was reading a magazine at the doctors the other day about this, I'v looked it up for you on google They sound like Tonsil Stones. Open Original Shared Link The tonsils usually appear like small, dimpled golf balls set on either side of the back of the throat. Children with large tonsils and deep crypts often get food...
  11. I am getting married too, in October 06 in France. There will be lots of gluten-free, DF, WF, and other allergies to cater for as well as vegitarians so I'm expecting a lot of headaches! I'll probably make my own cake, just with gluten free/milk free top layer. Donna
  12. Thanks Theresa I had forgotten to track this topic so have only just seen your postings. We were in Toulouse last week looking at schools. The headteacher assured us that the celiac wasn't a problem, there are some forms and a proceedure(obviously as it is France!)The school canteen can organise a gluten-free meal or she can come home for lunch. They...
  13. Yes my 11yo did, just below her belly button and occasionally in her back/kidney area, and a reflux. they found celiac 'by accident'. She was on 50th centile at birth and dropped to 3rd at 3 months. she was 128cm tall and only 25Kilo (about 50ibs) She was better within about 5 days gluten-free but did have a lot of withdrawl symptoms. I hope this is...

  18. We have this in our family. Mine got so bad I would get up 3-4 times a night and my colleagues in the office used to make jokes about how many times I went to the loo. (about every 30 mins or do). I had a bladder scan, tests for cyctitis and other tests over the years, all negative. My sister is also gluten sensitive and has the same problem. Interestingly...
  19. We had the tests and she does have 'Moderate Dyslexia', "Short-term memory and phonics cause the most problems Significant reading difficulty. Very weak at Maths. Strongest element is Verbal, and she's only just average in that. " She is in the second highest stream for English and maths at (2 of 4) her school, god help the poor kids in 3 and 4!...
  20. I'm still learning too. It is very interesting that this topic caught my eye. Tomorrow we are taking our daughter to be checked for dyslexia because the optition doesn't know why her vision is blurred when she reads and wants to rule out dyslexia before referring her back to the Eye Clinic at the local hospital. What is the actual effect of the perkinje...

  22. In our family at least Milk=Asthma (we actually cough a lot and only weeze when really ill) None of us need our inhalers now! Milk is 'mucus forming' , I just didn't realise that Dairy intolerance was linked to Gluten until I found this site and started researching symptoms after my daughter was dx with celiac disease. Donna
  23. Hi Packard You are lucky you stumbled on the answer so quickly. I read that the average time taken to get a dx of celiac disease is 11 years and 15 doctors! for me it was all of my 42 years, rheumatologists, renal specialists, surgeons, pain clinic, de-nervation,physio x 5, 100s of doctors and I only realised what the cause of my problems were after...
  24. Hi Christine YES ALL THOSE THINGS CAN BE CAUSED BY CELIAC! - My daughters main symptoms were stomach pain which started periodically, headache (which I now know to be migrane) nauseia after eating. She was also very tiny, on the 3rd centile. She could not tolerate milk, it gave her asthma. She often had odd aches and pains in her legs. After 2 courses...
  25. My knees make a awful 'crunching' noise when I go upstairs, and I find climbing stairs quite tiring, my legs feel weak above the knee. I originally thought it was because of weight gain and moving to an office without stairs, but then I was dx with fibro. My kness were the least of my problems at that point! They are much better now that I use a 'cross...
