  1. Hi Aussie and Kiwi peeps...I have a question.... In the US oats are off limits because they are all known to be contaminated with wheat. Is that the case in Australia? Just curious... Oh and food additives in general are evil IMO, but trust me, it's waayyy worse in the US.
  2. Hi! Sept 1st was the first day of Spring here and bam...it's 80 degrees . Guess I don't need my Uggs after all. My job ended , which is sad becasue I loved that job, despite the excessive amounts of milk and biscuits I was required to carry through the city everyday. There was a yoga studio across the street from the office so I went to yoga everyday...
  3. Cause Your Special makes the BEST pizza crust mix!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. Does anyone with multiple food allergies successfully use Triumph cards? Does it help to at least have those? Anyone?
  5. I have similair Ugg clogs. I wear them with everything in the winter (I should have brought them to Australia. I knew I was missing something. Dang reversal of the seasons). The clogs are good with jeans and super handy to wear to yoga. Er - on the way to yoga. (I just pictured myself trying to do yoga in my Uggs ....I do rarely take them off when...
  6. Steamed with lemon is really yummy. I also like it raw dipped in hummus.
  7. Sorry if this has been asked a million times but I can't find the answer. I'm looking for dining cards in multiple languages that explain I'm allergic to dairy, soy and gluten. Triumph seems to be the best but they only cover gluten right? Thanks!
  8. That's awesome. Just to further prove that it really can be done, my family had a graduation party for my brother a couple months ago and the whole thing was gluten, dairy and soy free. The food was awesome and nobody knew the difference. We served chicken skewers, shrimp skewers, quinoa salad, potato salad, guacomole, three or four different types of...
  9. Hi All is well in OZ Hello hello Well, about the muffins, I just moved into a house that happens to be about a block away from the place that sells them I swear I did not plan this on purpose , but I'm not complaining either. I'll keep you all updated on the muffin news as I continue recipe investigations So...I started this...
  10. So in the spirit of Rachelville, this has nothing to do with what's being talked about. I just have to share the stupidest thing ever that I did today. Don't get me wrong here, I'm truly amused by my own pure stupidity .... Okay long story short....I ended up really glutened today (with horrible D all day), and when I was finally feeling a little...
  11. I'm not Australian, but I'm in OZ, and I just had to pop in and say that Early Harvest bread is the best gluten-free bread on Earth. I've purchased it a couple times at Health Emporium in Bondi Beach. There's also a bakery in Sydney that makes the best gluten-free muffins on Earth. I can't think of the name of the bakery but I buy them at the U Eat Healthy...
  12. Hi Julie and Rachel and Andrea and everyone else! I love popping in a saying hi!!!!!! Try to limit your milkshake consumption to one gallon today Rachel ...and did I read something about two packages of corn tortillas? I pulled a Rachel the other day when I found these organic gluten-free, sf, cf muffins. They're made out of almond meal...
  13. TheDave, Such random things I said 200 pages ago are not to be resurrected. I'm lacking scientificness at the moment, so I must meander elsewhere.....
  14. I'll send you guys some cool winter vibes from Sydney. Have I mentioned enough times that it's a bit chilly here? . Then I'll somehow steal some of your humidity through cyber space and we'll all be feeling much better. Okay that didn't really make sense. What is this thread supposed to be about again?
  15. Could not have explained it better myself
  16. I really just thought it was funny I couldn't find tea without milk or bread in it. Sorry, maybe you had to be there... Where is everyone today?
  17. OMG I was going to post something about microwaves. Premature post sorry - haven't read the article or most of the recent posts. I've been thinking though about microwaves and how they probably affect all of us in a really really negative way. They apparantly alter the structure of the food molecules, which can in turn trigger an autoimmune response! ...
  18. I started my job yesterday. It's just a temporary position. I'm staying in the CBD and the office where I'm working is out in the middle of nowhere so I get to see lots of stuff during the bus ride here LOL.
  19. Hi! Now I'm all by myself in Rachelville . I'm glad the citizens of Rachelville could keep me entertained today while I was working LOL. It's 4:31 pm here where I am and everyone else in Rachelville has gone to sleep I guess. Good night
  20. Hi It's 2:34 pm on Wednesday August 8th. How weird is that? Oh wait...I'm confused...it's the 9th of August

  23. Sorry, I'm posting. I can't help it. This is really bad. I have a job for the next week that basically involves me, in a room by myself, with a big computer, a set of instructions, and...oh no...internet access! Don't worry though, I'm very skilled at hanging out in Rachelville while simultaneously getting work done Okay I should sign off for a...
  24. Hey, you're in Sydney? Me too Thanks Andrea. It is hard cooking here because for two years I had my own little dedicated gluten, dairy and soy-free kitchen, and I got quite used to that . I've been carrying around my own spatulas and stuff LOL. If there was room in my bags for pots and pans I'd carry those around too! hehe. I think I...
  25. Ignore me if I'm wrong about this, but I think I've heard that taro (in the Terra Chips) and tapioca either come from the same plant (root?), or are somehow related. I could be totally wrong about that though. Sorry, I feel like the food police sometimes That post just popped out at me. But....I'm really excited about the casein and lactose free...
