ARCHIVED Omg...i Might Be On To Something

LOL Sorry I can't help it. I laugh out loud every time I read about the miraculous, protective auxigro-detecting gesse. They are awesome. I think I even saw that they were being discussed in another thread earlier. Gosh, our geese are becoming popular. -

I'm so laughing out loud. That description paints quite the picture of Rachelville. -

This would be the perfect time for a new person to randomly read the last page of this thread. Protective auxigro detecting geese....THE SECRET TO EATING DAIRY AGAIN!!!! -

I'm on it! If my bag gets inspected I'll just explain that we need koala bears in Rachelville. I'll come back with koala bears and all sorts of really useful farming knowledge -

I do hear it's easy to find fruit picking jobs in Australia. Maybe I'll become a farmer. At least then I'll have something more valuable to contribute to Rachelville -

So all this talk about Rachelville has me thinking about farming LOL.... I noticed the other day that my co-op sells two different kinds of certain things. The two categories are organic and sustainable. So I'm wondering, are they allowed to use Auxigro and such on sustainable farms???? -

I believe I'm allergic and intolerant to soy, but I can handle shampoo that has soy protein in it. It's strange I can use it topically because when I injest it my skin breaks out. Soy oil honestly isn't as problematic, but if you're worried maybe you could return it to the store? -
Thanks for your post Rinne. The good thing is, I haven't paid the dentist yet. I don't think she'll be getting a whole lot of money from me.

Good idea. I'll be the adventurer/researcher (or something like that). I'll travel to distant lands to bring back news and information...but I'm still only eating food that's grown in Rachelville -

I think we need to train the guard geese to detect trace amounts of auxigro that may have drifted over from neighboring glutenville farms on the other side of the mountain. They can be sort of like dogs that sniff for drugs, but geese. I need a job in Rachelville. It's starting to sound like quite the place. At least we know it will be well decorated... -
If your job is crappy, why don't you look for something else or strive for something better? Just because you don't have a hs diploma now doesn't mean you have to be stuck at burger king forever. If you're sure you're not inhaling gluten I wouldn't worry about that though.

I'm so moving to the cult farm when I get back from Australia . I'm not milking any cows, but I guess I'll expose myself to the dangers of the other side of the hill, at least once in a while, to do the shopping... -
yeah but if you're working a minimum wage type job there are other options. What about Blockbuster, some sort of retail store at the mall....constructuion workers make good money....if you looked around I'm sure you could find something.

I'm not entirely sure about the scent itself, but if you're working in a place where there's crumbs flying around, you might inhale those... Is is possible for you to get a job at a place that doesn't serve food? At least that way your job wouldn't be an extra gluten-related stress for you...

I wish I could have all that stuff with me at all times. We need special rolling backpacks with mini fridges and hand soap dispensers in them. -

Thank you so much Amber! That info is so helpful!!!!!!! So how awesome is this? I was looking into the Oz Experience, which is kind of like a tour bus type thing that goes all over Australia. I was excited about it, but then I read that they stop in some remote locations, where you camp and there are no grocery stores, so you have to eat the food... -
They do have an epinephran-free anesthetic though. I went back to the dentist last week to finally get my veneers put on. I explained very clearly that I had severe reactions to epinephran. The dentist agreed to give me the epinephran-free version. In the middle of everything she got tired of the fact that the weaker anestethic was wearing off quickly...

I've read that when raw milk goes bad, it becomes sour, but is still a food. When pasteurized milk goes bad, it becomes rancid, and can be very harmful. The difference is pasteruzed milk has a much longer shelf life. I don't know, I stay away from both forms. The arguments I've read in favor of raw seem to be pretty powerful though, especially when you... -

Gosh I need a break from packing (because I've done lots of stuff today so far - besides pack ) So I guess that article I posted caused some confusion I'm confused about it too. There's an ask Dr. Kalish section of that website: Open Original Shared Link I wonder if he would respond if we asked him to clarify. Celia - Do... -

Yay! I love it when people go off dairy for good! www.godairyfree.com is pretty good www.notmilk.com is another one. It looks a bit wacky at first glance but there are some good articles in there. Sorry you're sick Rachel. I wish I had something more insightful to say I keep thinking about the water thing and it makes so much sense. ... -
eggs are casein-free. you could have an egg intolerance through, or you could be allergic to egg whites. i believe that's fairly common.
