  1. I agree with Ursula. It looks like you're getting lots of fiber. Maybe for added healthy fats, you could use pure olive oil on your salad with a little bit of balsamic and maybe add some peanut or almond butter to your fruit or waffles in the morning. Coconut oil is great too. I always feel better (and my weight stays down) when I add enough healthy fats...
  2. Oh I forgot to mention that after the sugar cravings subsided, I had protein cravings. All the cravings did stop eventually.
  3. I had intense sugar cravings after I went gluten-free. That went away after a few months.
  4. Oooh - I'm jumping in a bit late today, but Happy Birthday Julie!!!!!
  5. Have you seen the safe and forbidden ingredient lists? They can be found on this website (celic.com) from the site index.
  6. I think you need to eat the equivalent of three slices of bread everyday for three months in order for the biopsy to be accurate, but I could be wrong...I've never had one...
  7. I heard once that it's actually a waste product of dairy, but the dairy industry decided that they could make a lot of money if they started marketing it as health food/muscle building type protein.
  8. The Indian Vegetable Korma is gluten-free, dairy-free, cholesterol-free, vegan, certified kosher, corn-free and soy-free. It's awesome
  9. I use Aubrey shampoo with Giovanni conditioner. Have no idea if the Aubrey shampoo is better than the Giovanni shampoo though
  10. Oh - you mean the cookies? Sorry I'm not really a recipe person. I just kind of throw stuff together and hope it works. Basically you just mix the peanut butter, egg and sugar. That much makes about six cookies, so you can double the recipe for 12. I put them on a greased cookie sheet and bake at 350 for about 10-15 minutes, but I have a really...
  11. Just a warning about the Aubrey Organics stuff - when you first open the bottle, it smells kind of icky. But when you put in in your hair - the scent is really awesome. I don't know why that is.
  12. I feel the same way about not wanting soy in my products. I'm really sensitive to it and it makes my skin break out in cysts. For some reason though, I'm able to use Aubrey Organics shampoo with no problems. I like the Rosa Mosqueta, but I'm currently using the Camomile Luxurious (or something like that) and I really like it.
  13. that's awesome the protein thing worked. you can try to find omega-3 eggs. that might be an option for you...or you can put flax oil on your salads and stuff...
  14. That's one perspective, and like I said, I'm not a fan of dairy or the dairy industry...but human beings did evolve on saturated animal fats... but I agree dairy is not by any means the most ideal source of calcium...
  15. I really like Amy's Indian Vegetable Korma (or something like that). It's never made me sick. I think it's a good company, and there labeling decision seems like a good one...
  16. If your body doesn't like gluten, don't eat gluten! It sounds like the perfect solution for you. Not all celiacs are skinny. Many lose weight when their bodies start to work properly on the gluten-free diet.
  17. It sounds like you have either a gluten intolerance or a wheat allergy, or maybe both. You can have gluten intolerance that isn't celiac disease, however, gluten intolerance would still mean gluten-free for life.
  18. If you go to the site index from this website you should be able to find the safe and forbidden ingredient lists.

    ARCHIVED Milk?

You'll be able to find it at Wild Oats. It's usually found on the shelves. Almond Breeze is really good (a bit sugary - but really good )
  20. Hi - I think your best bet for the salad dressing is to make it yourself. I just kind of mix olive oil and white or golden balsamic. I don't really measure I'm casein intolerant, so I unfortunately don't know anything about the yogurt. Good luck
  21. I felt sick after I ate at Outback recently and I didn't have the brownie. All I had was grilled chicken with plain steamed veggies and a salad without cheese or croutons (oil and vinegar on the side). The waiter was nice but clueless. He did know enough to tell me they put butter on the outside of the baked potatoes before they bake them, so it's not...
  22. They contain a lot of soy flour, and that is what bothers me. I think soy flour can be bothersome to some people who aren't generally intolerant to soy.
  23. Yum....I had to grab breakfast to go today and all I have is a bananna with almond butter. I wish I had your breakfast LOL.
  24. You could very well have a food allergy. A food allergy is a bit different than celiac disease/gluten intolerance, but many people on this board have food allergies as well. Maybe you could do something like a rotation diet? Have you already been tested for food allergies? That's not to say a negative test result would rule it out. You could start experimenting...
  25. Do you feel like your throat is swelling or closing up when this happens?
