  1. Delimex taquitos??? Are these in Wal-Mart's frozen foods case? deli? Quick...where do I look???? Need a Mexican food fix, and these may help. THANKS
  2. Monica, which of the McAllister's potatoes can you eat? The original McAllister's is here in my hometown I used to love them. I have only been there once since dx, and then I just ordered the plain baked potato. I think you may have just added a few more rays of sunshine to my ever-brightening world.
  3. The same company also owns Fleming's Steakhouse. A little more upscale I think. I haven't tried them, but a new one opened in Memphis (about an hour from me). I've read they're gluten-free friendly.
  4. ROTFL...My non-celiac disease husband had a great laugh with this one, too.
  5. Oh, that is so fine! YES! A Valentine's tradition for my husband and me as well! Plus a birthday tradition, and a just because it's good tradition. Melting Pot, here I come
  6. Hmmm, looks like too many of you have traveled to Jackson, MS. I did talk to a friend of mine who lives there, and she said that Bonefish Grille is a great restaurant. She has no experience with the gluten-free side of it, but I think that maybe my best bet.

I've only been diagnosed Celiac for a few weeks so this is all new to me, but am extremely gluten-sensitive (glad to finally know why I was so sick!) I know that there is an Outback there, but one person told me that out...
  9. I live about 70 miles south of Memphis, and so far the Wild Oats there has been my #1 supplier for gluten-free (although Kroger in my hometown does a good job, too). Wild Oats is located at 5022 Poplar. (Poplar is easy for anyone even vaguely familiar with Memphis) Square Foods (www.squarefoods.com) 2094 Madison Ave. is a market I haven't tried...
  10. Wow! That's a great question! Not only does it provide you with trends (or not, since answers are all over the place) but gives all of us comfort food possibilities. As a newly-diagnosed Celiac (about 6 wks) I'd love to hear more responses. I, too, was a bread lover. Now a quick and easy comfort food is a baked potato covered with Dinty Moore's...
